16:30 perks of the videographer being married to the host of the show, her little giggle made me smile! I’m in love with that ROG! I think my husband who has limited mobility would be able to get in and out fairly easily, same with the last one. But I like that the ROG has the option of a rear awning that will actually block rain regardless of the direction it’s blowing (outside of extreme conditions obviously)

They’re nicely made, but they lack a bathroom.

I like the 3rd 1 that sleeps to that is all metal cos I go on a lot of mud roads way out in the middle of nowhere . So it has to be a tough trailer . But , I also like the twist of humor with their logo of Sasquatch approved to . Cos that means , it can handle rough roads .

  • @TumnusMr

None of these fit the bill for me unfortunately. I’d love to get into trailer camping, but probably wouldn’t get into it very much. More like something for the occasional long family weekend getaway and maybe a hurricane bug out plan, and yet I like to have my cake and eat it ☺️
There’s only a few trailers that come close for me, but still miss something. I’d like a trailer that:
    - Sleeps 2 adults + 2 kids (separate bunks preferred)
    - Garageable
    - GVWR less than 3500lb so it can be towed by something like a Toyota Highlander
    - Indoor toilet & shower (wet bath is better than nothing)
    - Indoor cooking and dining for inclement weather and bugs
    - Hardsided/no canvas (no drying off & better insulation and wildlife protection)
    - Readily available for sale and repairs
    - Not outrageously expensive
Would like to see more reviews of campers like these:
Safari Condo Alto R1723 with bunk option - really like the features of this one, but there is a 2 year (!) waiting list and since the pandemic the cost has gone insanely high.
Chalet XL 1920 - Seems to have the ideal A frame pop up layout, but the company is small and I haven’t seen a single review of the model with the bunk beds. It is also a few inches too long and wide for our garage.
Trailmanor 2518 - hard to get and not sure about kids getting older with the sleeping arrangement.
Aliner Family - easy to get, sold at lots of places and cheap(ish) but the kitchen is outside and and no shower. In fact inside it’s basically beds and a sink.
If Aliner made an 18ft LXE (the one with the wet bath but only one bed) and added bunks at the end to sleep 4 that would be nearly perfect.

A couple things on the 206LTD. The 2 burner stove is mounted in that beige box under the right seat. It can be used either in the camper on that counter you considered a seat or by hanging outside on the rails where the grill goes. If you use it inside you need to pull that quick connect LP hose back inside the camper in the camper them up through the counter top. The unit does come standard with heated mattress. The fridge is a 3-way. LP/AC/DC. The unit has a 6 gallon fresh water tank and electric pump. No grey tank though. If someone decides to purchase a 206LTD I suggest they do not opt for the optional electric lift. It's nice when it works...but...the relays are very poor and fail quickly. There is a manual override but you will need a power drill and the right socket, and a lot of time, to raise the roof. And the power lift is very noisy. Great for waking the entire campground if you arrive late or take it down early in the morning. Plus you will spend a great deal of time adjusting the limit switches in the lift motor. For some reason they don't seem to be adjusted right from the factory and have a habit of loosing the setting. The roof will them either over or under lift. And that door is a bear (for lack of a better term) to get installed right. Other than that it is a nice, relatively inexpensive entry model. Construction is sound. One piece roof so no seams to worry about. Unless you will be towing it with a truck I would suggest to get the optional electric brakes. You are looking at about 2000 pounds of camper.

The major issue with the "ROG", is the height inside the kitchen area. If want to reach in to the back burner of your cook top, or take something off the shelf, if you don't remember to duck, you'll end up smashing your head into the back of the trailer. Even the awning looks like it's not tall enough to stand under.
Do manufacturers care that little about what actually works and what doesn't?

    • @RVBlogger
      @RVBlogger  Před 7 měsíci

That is a great point about the ROG. If you are looking for a camper that is small in height to possibly fit in a garage there are certainly some draw backs. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting.

A pop up has 0 "Cracker Barrel factor". Loses the most value over the life of the vehicle. It has 0 insulation and sound insulation.

      Hi Joseph,
Have you ever owned a popup camper? They are fantastic if you like tent camping off the ground...

I invested in an Aframe HW-A194. It has a bathroom and propane oven (rare). There is an Aframe Aliner with a bathroom and several Rockwood/Flagstaff Aframes with bathrooms. A lot of the pop-up tent models have bathrooms. Otherwise, Casita and Safari Condo Alto fits in a garage.

There are some like the Aliner series with a toilet and even a shower.
