There was nothing more memorising then Silva back in his day! Honestly felt like watching a ninja at times!
That fight was highly stage however in the highlight.
The way he would just just move his body and dodge punches in place was so badass, he was ultra instinc for sure lol

After that Etim KO I don't understand how in the world Jamie Varner dispatched Barbosa with no problem. Him winning alone was far fetched.
I thought Barboza could've easily become a champion after that Etim KO, that loss to Varner destroyed the hype, at least he developed decently but lightweight got too stacked
Simple: Barboza has shit boxing
Edson has outstanding kicks and chin but not much else. Phenomenonly entertaining but limited skills
The same recipe that used Jamie Varner used Justin Gaethje, pressure instantly at the start of the fight, aggressive relentless pressure and they both knocked out Barbosa. Barbosa couldn't fix up his defense against this kind of aggression till this day.
Varner used pressure with the threat of the takedown.That’s why Edson didn’t have success and other fighters followed his blueprint.
@@Khonnell66 I disagree, i don't think he has limited skills at all, at least not with his hands, kicks and even defensive wrestling. The huge problem of Barboza is heart, he is a natural quitter, at the tiniest glimpse of pain/damage he quits, simple as that, he got literally KOed by a Donald Cerrone's jab after he COMPLETELY dominated him for 3 minutes. Same with Tony Ferguson, hard to imagine someone kicking the ass of Ferguson, but he did exactly this but as soon as Ferguson turn the fight ugly, getting hit on purpose to hit his opponent back, Barboza was done, 1 minute later he was quitting. On paper Barboza could've been the greatest of all time.
Madness that was Khabib's first fight in a cage and now he does all his best work against the cage

Anderson cheated his ass off. Cheal kicked his ass for four and a half rounds. Anderson grabbed his shorts and Need him in the face when he was down. Man I was so bummed watching that live when it happened.

The first fight Chael destroyed a completely healthy Anderson (Silva said his rib was bruised after the fight, not before.) and then took him to town in the second fight, doing the exact same shit he did in the first fight. Obviously the spinning back fist in the second round lost him the fight, but in no way did he get his ass whooped.
Jones is a whole nother story tho, that was not even close.

1:24 = For those who never saw the full Silva vs Sonnen 2 fight, the replays after the fight clearly showed that Anderson's knee struck Sonnen in the chest which is completely legal when striking a fallen opponent. Anderson's knee strike did not connect with Sonnen's face whatsoever & Joe Rogan is quick to point that out as soon as he sees the replay.
