She's both delaying the trial obviously but also laying groundwork for a favorable outcome for Trump later, with the jury instructions and motions delayed into jury is seated where trial can't be re-started. She's minimizing concrete reasons for her removal at this time, while peppering in inconsequential rulings against Trump to create a facade of fairness.. She knows what she's doing and that's the most alarming.
As a Canadian watching this from afar, I've lost all respect for the so called 'USA' system of justice. Your supreme court, this, it's all a bad joke.

The chief judge of the Southern District of Florida--who allowed the conflicted Cannon to take this case--should be investigated for a judicial ethics violation. This was a clear conflict of interest from the beginning.

It IS a disgrace that Judge Canon is throwing the case for Trump, but the fact that we can all sit by (including great legal minds) and watch this collapse and the legal system has no remedy to fix it and get her off the case, is what horrifies me. Such blatant incompetence should be able to be challenged.
There is a remedy. It's up to Smith to file a motion with the overseeing court. The problem is that he needs to balance that being a delay itself, and with how much confidence to win that he has. While it's evident what's happening with perceived intent, she has been methodically minimizing the available concrete evidence to get removed. Much of it requires interpretation of intent, which is a risk in legal arguments and Smith only has one shot at this, basically.
The judge has said she would give Trump a fair trial. Let’s trust the judge.

Umm the lead prosecutor acknowledged that he mislead the court, the chain of command for the evidence had been broken, there's evidence that there was entrapment and selective prosecution. There are so many reasons for the case to be dismissed, the fact that it hasn't been yet says that the judge is actually waiting to see what happens with these claims before making that decision.
