Thank you for posting this, a real gem, and a rare treat to see the late Tommy Jannson riding. A rider who sadly lost his life so early, and must surely have been the Swedes greatest hope after Michanek to win the world title
I am a lifelong Aces fan since 1963 . I was there that night on the pits bend at Hyde Road the greatest race i have ever seen Anders on Bernie Leighs bike Peter with a broken left wrist .16 passes in 4 laps and the timing of peters cutback coming off the apex of the last bend was phenomenal . Such a shame it was never caught on film
Of the Swedish riders who rode that night 5 of them that i am aware of are no longer with us. Tommy Jansson, Olle Nygren, Christer Lofqvist, Soren Sjosten and Bernt Persson. As far as i am aware Malcolm Simmons is the only England rider from that match who is no longer with us
Great memories of 70's speedway and the old Wembley stadium , thanks for uploading !

Michanek held his line
Fantastic stuff - Michanek was red hot that season in the BL but he lost out to PC in the Knock Out Cup Final as well.
