- Here's an EXCLUSIVE look inside the F1 driver's motorhomes! These amazing million dollar motorhomes act as the F1 driver's houses during the European. A lot of my fans often want to know the F1 driver's hotels and I have to tell them that at some races you will not see where the F1 drivers stay. This is because the F1 drivers motorhomes compound is kept a secret from the public for security purposes. If you want a F1 drivers' motorhome tour though make sure to watch the entire vido today.

"I'm not even going to tell you how far we are from the track". 5s later "We are within 5 k's from the track". 🤣
Love this insight, Kym. These guys really do have it good. The chats around the camp in the evenings must be helluva interesting. Stay passionate!
Luckily the Austrian style house in the background does not give away the country. 😅
I already found the place, he showed to much of the buildings around
Just check out Valtteri's Strava ride from Friday, if he's staying here, it shows his route from the camping location to the track...
@@rexbeau Valttersi ride ends close by the location of the Motorhomes, he probably turned it off before actually going back there as to not leak the location.
Fascinating. You hit the nail on the head about the commradere between drivers and the chance for some peace and quiet. That’s priceless.
Danny and Charles singing around the campfire until 2am, Lewis' dog barking at any sound coming from the dark. George was up early reporting them to the ranger for having fires and dogs in the campgrounds. No one noticed Logan was missing for 3 hours after going to find some firewood.
Wow. Again Kym, you've given us a look at something we mortals could never imagine. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it
5:40 LOL Why do I get a feeling that the driver requesting the milk from their own region is Lando Norris? 😂
Lando actually doesn't like milk, that was just a meme
@@KevwePatani probably Lando.
Thank you Kym for showing us more of the behind the scenes. I love seeing content like this. Keep up the great work!
Thank you! Will do!
Thanks Kym. Are there Teams that own their Own Motorhomes or do they all rent except Max of course?
@@f1greenlight so some teams have there own motorhomes at certain races
What a small world. We sell components to the that RV manufacturer and I live 10 mins from where the Alliance units are built in Indiana. Cool seeing the units being used by F1 drivers.
This is very common in NASCAR, as well. The motorhomes are usually inside the track, or just outside of it in a secure lot. Every track has a designated area, though.
Same with the NHRA
Same with Piston Cup.
F1 used to have them within the track but they banned it a few years ago for some reason.
This is in Austria, you could see the reflection in the window. I saw a Austrian house.
Yep you're right. I found it :D
But i won't disclose where, but he is correct about the distance, ish.
Near the old UK Silverstone circuit entrance, in the 'good old days when F1 drivers used to also drive in Saloon car and Sports Car races, after the races were over - you could go into a roadside Public House and find Jackie Stewart, Graham Hill and Jimmy Clark having a friendly drink together !!!
0:29 “Of course, it has all the modern conveniences. I can see a toaster over there…” 😂
Fantastic content, Kym. 👍 Thanks for all your hard work and sharing with us.
I love it! Better than my home! ❤ i love how these days the drivers are able to be friendly with each other out side of the races, no matter who they race for! And i bet they love the peace and quite too!
I wonder if Rainbolt can find out this location 😂
Oh boy, they're screwed...
I thought exactly the same hahahaha
Really enjoyed this peak behind the curtain. Thanks for the video, Kym!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks Kym. Very, very good insight into drivers off-time. They deserve it. You may soon also need a motorhome as you are becoming very famous for your interesting videos and unbiaised comments!!!
Amazing!!! Kym, thank you for your work and commitment! Best F1 World channel by far!
Wow, thank you!
I would happily live in that full time as my permanent home. Heck it’s nicer than my flat (London prices man)
Always fascinating, cheers!
Awesome content as always Kym. You deserve more subs...
Kym, this was awesome and we learned a lot. It does bring up the point with fans. I’ve never understood the lack of etiquette and the drivers. Give them at least some space! 🏁 #boundries
Love seeing the mobile homes and offices wish we got more content like that. Especially like seeing the cool ways everything collapses and fits together for travel
Awesome video Kym! Always bring great content and a look into the world of F1.
I know the Eight Sleep, have used their pods for a while and I know which drivers use it. One driver specifically, ensures it is a most venues. Can't sleep without it. Cheers
Thanks for sharing!
During Covid, those Motorhomes and RVs disappeared in a hurry in the US. Now, Dealers cannot get rid of them. You can get a 20 year mortgage on those as long as they have shower and cooking (considered home). It gets old pretty quickly though.
Yep would require a certain personality and lifestyle preference. I'd say only suitable for 5-10% of the total population, and even those 5-10% would likely prefer a traditional home when not mobile.
Thanks for the interesting tour!
Thanks very much Kym for bringing all of us very interesting content from behind the scenes. Great stuff. Our own roving reporter.
Cheers to you, my friend
I’m more concerned who’s the driver the requires special milk lmao
like a child
It's Lance. He has talked about Canadian milk before.
@@bobbyb69 am Canadian - can confirm the milk is good here haha
You’d think it be Lando right, British blue cap, he said he can tell the difference.
@@michshellabell4587 he’d be the most obvious pick
Love it, just like it used to be in the 60’s and 70’s.
One of your best videos!...I've always wondered what the drivers motorhomes looked like...sure beats a 4 berth caravan!
Excellent work as always! Those are some nice motorhomes
They are!
that was great to get an inside look. thanks mate.
Glad you liked it
Content delivered as promised.
Thanks for an insight into how to get the most out the market. 😊Cheers Thanks again.
Great content once again, Kym.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video. Now can you please do one on those hospo behemoths please. I’m really curious how they set them up and take down for transport.. thanks.
Loved this Kym!! Different but very interesting.👍
It would be very interesting to see what things the crews, managers, etc. do off track as well. Thank you.
Noted!
Wow ! Why on earth would they ever want to go to a hotel? Paradise. Peace and quiet.
What an incredible luxurious and well thought out motorhome, a magnificent feat of modern engineering and interior design with all the technology, the drivers must find this amazing motorhome a safe haven during the Grand Prix weekend
I drove past the motorhome yesterday. I thought if this was for a driver. But it's not really far from the race track or from a campsite for fans. It would be interesting which driver it is for.
@KymIllman What happened to your head? Are you ok? I didn't see it in your last video so it must be new I hope it heals up fast. This is another great video Kym keep up the great work.
We on the states call these 5th wheels and the class A we call motorhomes. Prevost motorhomes cost they much and more. This is a nice 5th wheel. To the race drivers, be safe on the track
I remember Daniel Ricciardo giving a video tour of his old Red Bull motorhome. Thanks for more behind the scenes video Kym!
Best F1 content for behind the scenes. I love it 👍🏻
Thank you for this look inside a Motor home, It's more like a Normal home than Joe public. The time would be the same as the F1 team Corporate centres leave Sunday and get there Tuesday approx, So 5 km mint gives the game away in Europe.
The best content is that which you never knew you wanted
I was just watching the grand tour episode where those three took a motor home across the states with their comfort modifications, how far these caravans have come!
Thank you for the tour and update on the drivers life. Yes, Stay Passionate .
You bet
We need the geoguesser guy here 👋
brilliant to kmow all this information
Glad it was helpful!
If we put Rainbolt on the task, the little grass you showed is enough for him to find the location with the help of the shadows 😅
I loved the video!
I was curious to know which are the drivers that stay motorhomes, tell us Kym 😊
One day down the track, maybe
if youre posting this TODAY ...you definitely are 5 kms from the Austrian track lol !!!
When I retired, I moved into a 40 foot Monaco dynasty to live full-time. It is an actual motorhome rather than a trailer being towed from a truck. And I love being able to follow the weather all over the United States and stay the hell out of cities. In the US, we call those trailers fifth wheels.
My Grandfather would LOVE the RV's of today, their idea help create it!! He owned a Lumber Mill and he also owned a RAILWAY CAR converted into an apartment with a boardroom!! Lmao. He would call the train company to schedule his travels threw Northern Canada. Can you imagine a RAILWAY car is the OG RV!! LMAO 🤙😎
WOW that's really different from a motorhome I imagine... I thought it will be like the one in MotoGP 🙃 now I understand why Alex said if he buy a motorhome it will be bigger than his Monaco apartment 😂
Very interesting
Excellent content. Thank you very much. Need anyone to hustle your bags? ;)
" Hey........what a pleasant surprise...................it`s my favorite F1 CZcamsr................Kym Jong-Illman..............cheers Mate........".........😁
Just saw you on f1 tv pre sprint show
Rumor has it Valtteri Sleeps on St. Kilda Beach like an OG during the Melbourne GP.
Question is, who's the milky boy? George looks like the milky bar kid, but my moneys on K-Mag.
Peace of mind and rested drivers
Kym Never disclose the locations of the mobile homes to the crews from Netflix. They would spoil the ambience with their cameras and microphones.
Does the goat respond to the fans!?!?
Who is the goat?
@@KymIllman This random CZcamsr called KymIllman
These are with all due respect still relatively small compared to a decent Class A 45ft diesel pusher in the USA. ;-)
It's a 48 foot trailer towed by a semi tractor trailer
Pretty sure it's bigger.
I spose they’re all roasting marshmallows round the camp fire…….🔥
I hear the Haas motorhome is a Volvo 242 GLT stationcar from 1984
Intresting
Privacy would be very difficult for the drivers but at the same time it is the viewing public that effectively pays for F1.
Damn!
Rainbolt is coming for you 😂
Had a chat with the driver of that motorhome in Austria back in 2021,..He said Mercedes changed the tractor unit every year!
he sowed enough footage for rainbolt to pin point the location
anyone can do it, I did it
Privacy and secrecy are no more and effectively day when internet existed.
That milk is from Finland Bottas.
The step is from Bottas
I'l bet someone will figure out this location just based on the building structures those motorhomes are parked next to.
Already have
nice it has starlink internet
Let's find this yellow house within a radius of 5km from the track. 😂
I wonder who's the F2 driver... Oh wait, might have heard him say it in a team video.
The milk diva? I recon Lando.
wouldn't be too hard to find with my trusty DJI mini 3 if its only within 5km of the track LOL
Kobenz 5.1km to Styria is my guess.
That's where Kimboy gatecrashes to siphon free lunches instead of paying his own way at vendor stands like the rest of you Chops have to do. Nice guy.
A driver that only drinks milk from a region in his country.... Lando! Hahaha!
It's a European trailer you can see it at the wall outlet
Yea, its for European races sherlock
who makes them dinnner at the motorhome ?
now google maps-ing 5km around the track...
Milk request is Lando 😉
Where do the rest of the team stay at?
How did you get the cut on your head Kym?
Tried to walk through a glass door
That video will get tons of views … all due respect sir Kym
10 drivers…. Norris, Ricciardo, Leclerc, Albon, Russell, Bottas, Sainz, Gasly, and either Tsunoda or Zho + Verstappen with his own motorhome
How’d I do?
Are these all solar powered with massive inverters or plugged in, given the amount of systems on board?
Do the drivers get to leave their stuff on board as it’s transported to the next track!
Lando is the one that has the milk quirk, am I right?
seems like at 07:30 into the video you are standing infront of a maybe $100k fifth wheel and the sewer hose isnt hooked up to the sewer, please dont pull the gate valve
I hope they preach to us about our carbon footprint as that semi takes the motor home everywhere while they fly their private jets
Asturias milk 🥛 🇪🇸 Fernando Alonso for sure because that milk famous in Spain 🇪🇸
Wish the crew was taken care of like this. They are the reason these drivers are famous. The car is the real star anyways
but the crew don't suffer harassment from the fans. The crews do get looked after as well, they mostly stay in nice hotels and are provided meals cooked by a chef in the teams paddock box.
Do you have what it takes to hustle an F1 car around Spa,Monza,Silverstone or Monaco at speeds of up to 220mph depending on the circuit? The car is a huge part of the package, but the driver is at least as important.
@@RiminiVirage hundreds and hundreds of drivers could do it that are never given a chance. F1 is a club of silver spoon in the mouth multi millionaire and billionaire families buying their way in at a young age. I pull for the poor driver that came from
Nothing. The car does 95% of the work. Sergio Perez P2 2023 is your proof.
2 days to go 1500kms. I drive a little chiller truck 600kms and back straight away. lol
That’s with one driver at hearing to the rules regarding sleep brakes
Europe has driving hours regulations. 9 hours in a day, can be extended to 10 hours twice a week. 56 hours in a week, 90 hours in any 2 consecutive weeks. Every 4.5 hours you must have at least 45 minutes of breaks, can be split up into 2 breaks. They will have tachographs and there are severe penalties for not having a working tachograph and for falsifying data etc.
@@marciabigg469 they do here also hun. I live in remote Western Australia and because it’s not a semi it’s pretty easy going. And I work for myself
The milk is for Logan lol only America has different tasting milk
Special milk from homeland [Europe]. 🤔
Must be Ocon, who has metabolism prawblems.
Lando doesn't drink milk anymore.
Lando is the Milk guy... only other choice is ocon
I would put decent money on the Milk belonging to either Valteri or one of the Haas drivers.
I need to know more about this milk
$50 days this mobile home is Valterri’s.
yep, the milk is for him, i have a feeling
Red Bull ring
