I feel bad for Charlie the most in the FNAF Lore. She's been restlessly cleaning up Afton's mess by helping, comforting and convincing the dead kids to let go and move on themselves.
And even after countless efforts for her father to move on as well, she's not resting until Afton is alive. Man she needs to have a great ending after all of this. She needs to finally sleep in peace forever

Additionally maybe I'm unsure but instead of Robot Gregory, maybe the instructions are from Henry, for Gregory and Vanessa to create M.X.E.S.
Now, I have an issue with this. That would mean The Mimic is an invention of Henry too and he left instructions to counter it and Vanessa and Gregory found them and followed them.
Or The Mimic is Afton's creation and it's Henry (via Gregory and now Vanessa and M.X.E.S.) vrs Afton (via Burntrap and The Mimic)

Something I just noticed is that blue is kind of a middle ground between both purple and green. You need blue to make both colors, possibly hinting at another major choice Gregory may have to make: Afton's side (Purple) or Charlie's (Green).
At this point, Matpat should be the only fnaf theorist that you can trust in the lore.

Theory: do you ever notice There’s no security cameras on the outside of the building so that they could get a picture of the license plate but rather they’re only on the inside, so what if they’re not trying to keep someone out but rather keep something in.

The whole animatronics exhibiting toddler behavior is present in security breach as well. Monty has the destructiveness of a toddler, chica has the gluttony and love for pizza, and Roxy has the self centeredness and need to win.

@@arasel2755 I've played help wanted 2. The only two achievements I don't have are gobble gobble and hoarder. The gameplay is way better now, but the lore is way worse. i remember being LITERALLY addicted to the lore when I was little. I'm not just saying that. I was addicted. That was back in 2016 though, and now the lore isn't anything to be addicted to. Simple minecraft animations with sad fnaf music would trigger so many emotions if they included the LORE, and it was just the most addicting thing ever. Now it's just talking animatronics who make the game as wholesome as possible despite it being a HORROR GAME.
I assume you wouldn't know as much about the old lore as me as I joined in 2014, maybe late 2014. I am pretty sure fnaf 2 was out when I became a fan of it, but it may not have been.

I guess I can understand if you have a different perception, the feeling we get from these games can be a personal experience, of course. I'm back from same 2014 tho just letting you know xD And as all of us I loved loved past-FNAF everything, that which ended in fnaf 6, it's just that I am absolutely loving what is going on in this new history, the vibe that has so much fnaf and it's completely different all the same.

I think the reason the books have suddenly started to become more explicit with the lore and connections is because Scott's finally realized he needs to be more clear about what he wants the story to be

I confirmed FNAF 1's year on the timeline. I was playing FNAF 1 and FNAF 2, and as I was comparing the camera quality, I noticed that in FNAF 2's camera quality, the screen was the same as the TV's made in 1986 which we know based off your theory of Mangle doing the Bite of ‘87. This confirms that FNAF 2 had to be around 1986-1989. Now, FNAF 1's cameras look a lot higher in resolution, which compared to Tv's in 1990, they look fairly similar, so this confirms it was after FNAF 2. Last but not least, the TV models in each game looks fairly similar to the years of their productions that I was comparing them to.
It's like a big 'ol battle with the two main characters (Charlie and Peepaw Willy) kudos to both of them honestly they both always come back
Robot Gregory actually makes the high scores make sense. Those scores are above and beyond the normal range, but something with robotic quickness could get those kinds of scores.

What if Scott cawthon is letting theorists come up with random ideas and then adapting to those ideas (he had no plans for them before)
It would be funny if later down the line in, say, 5 years Scott drops books explaining the entire story and Matpat gets 98% of it all right
That seems to be the current trajectory seeing how much of his Timeline theory was confirmed either through the books or, as with the FNAF2 theory, scott literally outright confirming the theory to be mostly right.

The Green and Purple thing also seems reflected in the designs for Chica, Roxanne and Monty. All have green and purple in thier designs, Chica has purple on her legs and forearms, and green earrings. Roxanne is purple but has green hair. Monty is green but his shoulder pads are purple. Those 3 are directly being controlled by Charlie and Glitch Trap, while Freddy the only one not being influenced has no purple or green in his desgin.

Also in the ruin trailer the girl that Gregory asks for help has green on her and purple maybe implying that she may also be switched to the purple side,and when you put Vannys mask on in SB Ruins it gives you night vision that’s purple.

It's funny to see that one point always comes back. Just like Matpat described, green and purple are the battling colors here. Purple stands clearly as Afton, but for green we don't really have a solid conclusion. Tho, I think we kind off do, bcs in the most AU's of animators or artist that draw fnaf type of things, who is battling against our Purple Guy? Charly. She's puppet and helps the children. Puppet has always been battling Afton and most off us think that (as we see in the AU's).

what if the ending Gregory escapes happens I mean it can't be a coincidence as we see gregorys drawing and it would explain why he's still in the pizzaplex and maybe burntrap wanted to kill Gregory so vanny didnt

Fun fact, green and purple are on 1/3rd intervals of a colour wheel, you know what’s directly between them? Orangy-brown, the colour of Gregory’s eyes in game. They are described as brown but hazel is probably better.

Theory: The end of the Ruin DLC is with Cassidy and Charlie fighting Afton anime fight style. Cassidy eve gains a super form where her hair goes golden.

With all the talk about green and purple, it makes sense how every animatronic (Besides Glamrock Freddy, and possibly Gregory) has some of the color.
The fnaf lore is so complicated

It just hit me. Either Scott told a group of developers what the story is and they have not said anything. Or there are two cannons Scott’s and the team that made security breach.
According to Steel Wool, Scott told them to put in some things, but didn't explain why.

I'm happy that they are saying it's possible Henry was at the pizza plex because I always was suspicious about how Henry says "I am nearby" in the FNAF 6 fire scene and how it kinda seemed like he may have just been watching it happen and not burning with then
I actually think Matpat is going to be largely correct about everything because Scott has secretly offloaded the lore-crafting onto him and is watching all these videos and taking notes.

I agree. Security breach felt like a soft reboot. They didn't want to get rid of all the known characters and restart the story from the beginning, but it's a new mystery you can start one to a certain extent.

Funny thing. In a older video Mat said that the franchises was like getting a food place. Today I went to a place called Freddy’s. Hopefully I’m not one of the murders.
One thing that sits the wrong way is the fact that Matpat said "Henry's only child" but all the way back in the Silver Eyes, we learn that Charlie had a twin brother, Sammy, who if you remember, when we first learned about him, we all originally thought that Sammy ended up becoming the Puppet. Sammy hasn't been mentioned since the Silver Eyes trilogy. Personally I think we need to remember Sammy is still a character in the fnaf universe and not completely write him out of our theories. He may be a way to explain some theories that aren't yet explained.

The fact that FNAF is close to being a decade old and seeing that we still have not learned about the bite of 87 makes it clear that MatPat has officially been getting close but still far from the missing piece of the puzzle. Then again or just that we still are missing something or the bite of 87 was all just an hallucination.

Most fans do agree that it was Mangle while others believe it could have been someone else like Toy Bonnie for example.

Would also make sense because Afton himself used the Spring Bonnie suit. Ergo, Bonnie himself could’ve been mistaken for Afton.

i have some more to expand on with this. so yk when gregory and freddy go to the old pizzaria? i think charlotte was talking to gregory through freddy, as charlotte booted him away from the others so he wasnt under aftons control (as mat just said) . also the reason why the other animatronics arent 'dying' after you destroy them and keep coming back is probably because they have some of aftons remenant from when he took controll of them or somthing like that.

At this point I’m sounding like a broken record, but would that not be the most absolutely epic ending for the series? The electronically preserved spirit of Afton against the AI copy of the mind of his first victim. We all know it’s not ending there, but that would be perfect.
If they pull that off fnaf could have 3 perfect endings that the franchise chooses the ignore (3, pizza sim and this)

@@thebreadbunny1863why not both? What if it is mimicking the behaviors of Charlie but the actions of Afton, hence the child murdering. Having the mimic be a separate entity from William would work well narratively, and having it maintain traits of Charlie would allow it to differentiate from Afton. The only issue I have with the mimic being the villain in Fnaf is motivation. Is the mimic’s motivation just to mimic what it sees, if so wouldn’t that just make for a boring antagonist, unless the mimic has some amount of sentience, in which case what does it want, what does it seek to accomplish.

Honestly I like the idea of letting the characters from fnaf 1-6 go to rest, and letting the mimic act as a twisted reflection of the trauma caused by the actions of Afton. While Charlie gave the other victims the gift of life again, Afton took away the only life they had. A twisted version of Charlie with her actions and mannerisms, but the actions and desires of Afton would make for a really interesting antagonist.

Fair point as well, the Ruin dlc image we got last year had in green text "Help Me_" It could be going off that last bit on Gregory's words as well. The help is not because he's been kidnapped or anything, it's help to quiet the two voices in his head.

Hey you’re right, he completely ignored that epilogue story where mimic1 killed off several employees in the pizza place thats buried under the pizzaplex. That epilogue is a huge foreshadow to glitchtrap and needs to be addressed.

Also noticed this green + purple combo on Roxy, Monty and Chica. All three of them have both colors somewhere in their designs, which i noticed when i first played and thoughts was kind of interesting, especially since Freddy doesn't have them, almost hinting that he's different in some way to us the player.
you can get a purple bowtie from upgrades and I think you were supposed to get monty's legs or smth, which would probably get the green color.

I think he got it spot on, because if you have seen the play through of fnaf ruin then on so called “Freddy faz bear” on his foot when you find him it says prototype. And he doesn’t have a head so the ending didn’t really happen! So he escaped with Gregory. So in one of the endings he must of escaped with him!
Hey, matpat, I don't know if you've ever seen this BUT, in the security breach files there are cut voicelines, one being a conversation between the mother and father robot at the afton staff bot table! Just thought I'd share for anyone who's interested.
I was rewatching Markiplier play Security Breach and I realized that Chica says "Your family is looking for you" which would make sense if Gregory is supposedly family to Vanessa. Also your amazing.

You know, with the implications of Gregory having to be "team afton", it could make sense that by "family" it meant Vanessa/the other animatronics controlled by the Afton virus. I hadn't thought about it that way
With the “3rd generation” of games (help wanted, special delivery, and security breach), it really feel like the franchise has stepped away from supernatural horror, with ghosts and possession, and fully embraced sci-if horror with malicious viruses and evil AI
In Dawko's interview with Scott he said that he prefer writing in the sci-fi genre and throughout the early games he had to hold himself back from making thing too much sci-fi. So it makes sense that it would take this direction.
