The idea that Freddy was taken out of the AI system because he was rebooted in safe mode could also help explain why Roxy saved Cassie despite having been shut off. Perhaps instead of actually shutting Roxy off, Cassie actually rebooted her (like the daycare attendant) and being rebooted into safe mode explains why she can be taken off the network (no longer being a security node) but still able to get up and save Cassie.

My theory is Gregory was actually at the pizzaplex when he contacts us before the chase, Walkie Talkie's don't have the best range after all. So I think he and or Vanessa rebooted Roxy, who quickly came down to rescue Cassie, and Gregory and or Vanessa destroyed the elevator (for what reasons, we don't know yet.)

Roxy's endo isn't changed from the original SB at all in Ruin, she clearly put on another Endo face as a "mask" to hide her grotesque look after her snout probably fell off when the place collapsed. Furthermore while it does line up that the headless Freddy is the remains of Freddy from the main game, Steel Wool wouldn't have put "prototype" on his foot for no reason or as a design change from the base game.
Yeah, this probably ties into Freddys unused voiceline of "older models" (yeah he is probably talking about past games Freddys but it also could hint at past Glamrock Freddys)
Either way, it is leading that this Freddy is not on the Vanni like the Freddy we knew, and he doesn't have a head too. We might need more information as to why he is not the same Freddy if he isn't, cause there are more pros than cons for him being the same then for being a different one.

Not sure if this has already been touched on, but does the post-it note room from Security Breach have any more relevance now that Ruin has been released? Perhaps they were attempting to train it, before it was sealed away? It could even be proof of that the whole Edwin story may have some truth to it.

A thing I noticed: Sun and Moon have the same teeth as the Mimic. They used to be jesters, maybe they were from circus baby's? Meaning that the mimic was from that era. Kinda interesting.

it’s pretty obvious that the story has been improvised over the years… but Scott’s ability to make every new part of the lore be parallel and make perfect sense with the older games is unmatched.
Scott has mentioned that he has only retconned ONE thing across all the games.

I’m glad that we also finally got the answer about Bonnie. I still don’t know how to feel about the Freddy we see be out Freddy. It feels like the “Prototype” being on his foot is really important. I’m excited to see the follow up for this theory.

it was a smart shift to make, considering remnant and agony were pretty consistent with only being mentioned in the books it made making new fans to get into the lore difficult, to make games that retroactively take the books and shift the way the power scaling works in the series is brilliant.
MatPat and John sharing a brain cell with these theories is the second funniest thing that came with this DLC, behind the *huge* collab 😂

This actually makes finding chica’s voice box make more sense! For the princess quest ending, Freddy either has chica’s voice box or Monty’s claws. Prototype Freddy has Monty claws, but it’s unclear if it has Chica’s voice box. We can find and re-insert chica’s voice box because it wasn’t put into Freddy.
It wouldnt explain why she is so damadged (most of the damage caused by gregory) and has zero voice box
It actually would not make sense because the Vanny ending is part of Fazer Blast, so that means going Chica's path was canonically first and Monty's was second. Freddy should have the voice box regardless, but we find him without his head. The voice box isn't inside him, though it *should* be nearby Freddy along with Monty's claws. The only reason it isn't is most likely because it was part of an abandoned side quest.

Going back to watch the Full Timeline I noticed something.
The Pig playing the Banjo has GREEN AND BLUE EYES! I think even on the same sides as the Tiger animatronic.
And MatPat always says Scott doesn’t do coincidences and he’s always careful about color.
So there must be some kind of connection to that Pig.
I think the 'Prototype' on Freddy's foot was more of a clarification from Steel Wool. We see and hear a few times in Security Breach that Freddy has glitched out at least once before, and that Freddy is the only one that has any power issues at all; the other animatronics don't need to recharge as often as Freddy does. Freddy also isn't sure if he's the first "Glamrock Freddy," implying that there may have been more Freddys before the Freddy we meet in Security Breach.

It’s such a relief to know that the Princess quest ending is most likely canon and that Burntrap/Glitchtrap’s relationship with Afton might be more complicated than initially thought.
Now what if there were 2 timelines one with aftons ending on with princess quest that would be my most huge relief yet as the afton ending was said to be canon before ruin

@@justaperson1692yeah that’s what is confusing, because why would Gregory make up a version of spring trap when nobody has ever seen spring trap, and the blob/enard/funtime Freddy. Like some parts have to be cannon, plus there is a charging pod where Afton was, same as the ending. It just doesn’t make sense unless that means ruins not cannon or something which is most likely not the case.
This would imply that Afton is still in Ultimate Custom Hell and that Burntrap is actually just the Mimic 'mimicking' Afton

Important detail someone pointed out. The Mimic's costume during the scooper ending looks like it was trying to *mimic* Gregory. Brown hair, blue shirt, bracelet on left hand to mimic the watch.

It happens, you do not want to know how often I came up with a revolutionary book idea only to later find out, that the concept already existed and I am now afraid to get hunted by copyright should I write them..... One example I had monster hunting witches that gainers power through high risk herb and monster concoctions that either killed or forced mutation and either way rendered them infertile. They where protectors but dispised for humans fear what they do not understand and they tended to have inhuman attributes like unnatural hair and eye colors....... Their school was not high up in the mountains but hidden like avalon on an island in a lake behind a veil...... But otherwise it sounds hell like the witcher... Which I did not know when I was 14 and came up with this idea, but sure as hell already existed.

The fact that MatPat’s recent video actually feels like it could possibly be canon to the actual lore, means that MatPat has now starting to fully take it step by step and not go all out at once. The only thing now left to piece together is to figure out what truly did happen to Glamrock Bonnie.

There’s a secret cut out of Glamrock Bonnie in Monty Golf where he frozen falling in place. Since security logs in SB say Bonnie was last seen in Monty Golf, and because there’s claw marks on him. I think it’s safe to say Bonnie went up to the catwalks above Monty golf, And Monty attacked him and pushed him off.
It's very interesting to see both Matpat and Fuhnaff realized that the first 3 books are very closely related to Fnaf Ruin and future games. Goes to show how important these books are.

@@nanuqo2006 They aren't disregarding them, Matpat brings it up anytime the series connects to the lore at hand, such as when he brought up the mimic story. However, not every tale connects back to the lore of the franchise because the books are still in their own universe, even if they have parallels to the games.
I love how the editor put the princess quest ending up twice when showing all the endings
One think I would like to point out is that in the story Cleithrophobia we see Grady a construction worker go down to a secret underground location about Ballora. I always thought this was weird but now it makes sense kinda. Matpat I think your right with this one. Also the Ballora animotronic is an AI since it can communicate with Grady (Not sure it only really said let me help you get out).
If the FNAF series ever comes to an end, I seriously hope Cawthon releases an entire book explaining every single mystery and lore snippet that has been created as he has released each game and book. I would love to know which theories Matpat and the gang were spot-on about and which were completely false.

I love how Ruin makes use of camera, flashlight, and mask. Classic FNAF mechanics but now in 3D and over the top. Way better integrated than in the main Security Breach.
In the cameras you can use sound to lure them away... so the first 3 games
If Freddy not seeing vanni was because he’s not on the network, does that not then infer that Gregory (who did see her) is? I.e. evidence of his being a robot?

(Note) I haven’t watch the video yet, so I don’t really know if he already said this but my theory is that the Freddy that help does the original Game was the prototype I had the original Freddy glitched, so they went to fix him that’s why he didn’t attack because he’s not the original Freddy

More evidence for the links between Ruin and SL is that in the Fredbear ending we hear Gregory saying “I found somewhere to hide” which I thought was way too similar to Baby talking about how they wanted to hide in Mike’s body, thus making me believe that it was the Mimic that gave that final Gregory voice line and Cassie got replaced Ennard style whilst she was hallucinating that final image for the ending.
Oh, and here's another thing; When Ennard replaces Michael in SL, he comes back, and I noticed something about the Brazil (Fredbear cutout) ending, when the mask is put on, the image slowly gets clearer, as if Cassie's consciousness is being uploaded to the VANNI network, meaning she could come back after being replaced by the mimic, Just like Mike comes back after being replaced

But in the latest epilogue a girl gets crushed bones and all by the mimic while it enters the suit she’s hiding and it wears it. So that explains it especially since the voice line is the same one it used before especially with the hyper ventilating from Cassie and the name and reference.

13:19 my issue with this idea is that even if Freddy is separated from the AI network, that means that he should be able to see the world as it’s regular self. Since he isn’t a part of it, he should be able to see Vinny. If anything, Vinny should be the one unable to see Freddy

A personal theory I have is that Cassie has been trapped in the VANNI network from the moment she put her mask on. The books have this common storyline where once the main character gets into the AR story, there’s no going out. They may think they left the system, but they’re actually still inside. That would explain why Helpi is able to talk to Cassie even when she’s not wearing the mask.
Watch matpat make 50 more episodes based on a dlc that lasts around 2 hours to beat

Hear me out, the scooper used in Ruin is the same one used in Sister Location. Sister Location is *under* the Pizzeria Simulator Location, which is under the pizzaplex.
Not that impossible considering SL is already underground.
This makes me think that scott hired a dedicated fan and theorist to tie up his own franchise

About Freddy, I think it's also important to mention how in the base game, when he's in Parts and Service, Vanessa threatens him not by saying that he'll be replaced, but by saying that they'll "slap his casing on a new endo", which implies they don't have the ability to replace him. Furthermore, in the van ending where he leaves with Gregory, Monty ends up replacing him and Mr. Hippo fills the empty spot in the band. While comedic, it still shows us that Fazbear Ent. just doesn't have another Glamrock Freddy readily available to replace him if he's irreparably damaged, because he is a prototype. He's most likely the only one.
In fact, I'm willing to bet that there's only one of each of the Glamrocks in existence. When Glamrock Bonnie disappears, they don't replace him with another Bonnie either, which shows they either don't have another, or making a new one isn't very feasible. Instead, he's replaced by Monty, and they don't even bother to rebrand the bowling alley.
The animatronics must gain sentience through self learning, but it is really hard for Fazbear to replicate for different endos. So when an animatronic dies and they can't copy him accurately, they just make a new character. Choosing an endo that they have trained, making him a skin that suits his character (angry Monty gets a Crocadile skin), and then wiping his memory of being an endo but leaving his character.
This is why Fazbear would love to have a mimic program!

If Glamrock Freddy can't se Vanny at the beginning of Security Breach because of his "safe mode" and isn't capable of doing so until he gets Roxy's eyes, why is Gregory capable of seeing her from the start? Wouldn't it mean that Gregory is somehow connected with this AI?
Ok you’ve probably gotten this question a million times by now but if the comics are just Gregory using his imagination for the other endings than how does he know about the blob and burn trap.
With reference to the daycare attendant and the 'why is he here' moment, I can say with certainty that he is here exclusively to make me happy. That is all and case closed, he is doing amazing 😂

Honestly, Baby being around or relevant even now makes sense to me. Reason being, Baby mentioning that we are in a Springlock suit on Night 4 felt so off. We never see what the suit looks like. But it implies that the Funtime Animatronics still had unanswered questions surrounding them. It just felt like such an odd thing to leave open ended

One extra detail I noticed that supports the headless Freddy being Gregory’s Freddy assertion is his hands. Only Monty is supposed to have those sharp, heavy claws. Hence, Freddy would only have them if that was Gregory’s Freddy equipped with Monty’s claws.

Ruin was such a blast to play, it really showed Steel Wool was correcting their mistakes and I really appreciate that! I'm also so happy for Matpat, he absolutely nailed the story in his last theory video! I'm also glad we're finally getting a new villain instead of Afton again haha

One note: the Vanny mask you use isn't the one Vanessa wore in SB, but it is the exact one used in Help Wanted alongside the Glitched Bonnie Plush to talk to Glitchtrap
Could be along the line of changes like Roxy's endo. But even then, Ruin had a bunch of wires in the mask, and Dreadbear's was a more flesh red interior.
Not to mention it's called a "security mask." Which might mean the security guards wear those as well. It might be possible that the Fazbear company was in on Glitchtrap's plans.
@@w1ndgeneral226could also just be that the security and maintenance staff wore some other AR gear, more appropriately themed, and Vanny just implemented those into her own mask, given Helpy is the AI assistant in the mask, plastered all over the pizzaplex maintenance stuff and is the mascot for the save stations, the original mask could've been Helpy masks, would make sense for the kids too, they see a bunch of helpys go around fixing stuff.

Technically Henry already did create Baby, in the way that he was the one in the Silver eyes trilogy to create the adult version of Charly, which was turned into Baby by William.
I find it a bit weird that we have 2 Henries from the book series that somehow explain Baby in very different ways...
I would love to get a Henry comparison between Silver Eyes and Tales from the Pizzaplex's Edwin.
If Edwin truly is a standin for Henry in the books... why not use the already established Henry from the Silver Eyes instead of making a similar parallel character with a different name.

9:28 there is a blue bow next to the vanny mask. In the books Elizabeth is seen with a blue bow. You once theorised that vanny = vanessa and vanesssa = Elizabeth ,which this links perfectly with the blue bow. Just a lil theory lol 😅.

Every present in Security breach has different colors to represent different characters, the green present w/a purple bow tie is themed after monty.
Ruin's got me back into the FNAF lore stuff on a level Security Breach couldn't imagine. I'm impressed Steel Wool improved so much.

Hey I’m super excited to see you host this but just so you know mat I was rewatching security breach play throughs and I saw at one point markiplier glitched the game on accident by moving Freddy close to a door that he didn’t have security clearance to and Freddy opened the door and he saw another Freddy inside and I think this is the Freddy we see in ruin and that’s why there is a different colored present and it says prototype on his foot but IDK why his head would be missing or why he is damaged
I love how Matpat always goes above and beyond with the merch, and doesn't just make all of it channel-focused. I can't buy it myself, but I'm always impressed by the wide range of products and designs.
The usage of the Vanny masks reminds me of a certain Freddy mask back in Fnaf 2. The way the animatronics are unable to recognize you with it on is way too similar, only without the augmented reality part.

@@LeonardGreenpaw i mean, this theory isn't even something the game theory team came up with. the first half (with the mimic's circus costumes and alternative branding) was discovered and fleshed out by ryetoast, and the second half (with the scooper and the silver eyes series/fnaf sl/help wanted 2 connection) was completely done by fuhnaff.
