I hate when companies intentionally downgrade last gen graphics like ps4/ps4 pro graphics weren’t amazing as hell! That’s wild

You're right, the graphics are good for basketball game but it's no Red Dead Redemption 2. I feel like what someone else stated, they downgraded the graphics for PS4. 2k21 looks just as good if not better than 2k23 for PS4.

Wouldn’t it be easier to make the graphics better because it’s really just an arena, hoop, crowd, players, and a ball. It could easily look like the ps5 edition.

All facts i still play 2k14 some times…even 2k16 looks better on last gen compared to here for 2k23. But in 2k defense they probably ain’t downgrading it on purpose. There’s probably a lower budget on last gen and not enough time to polish it. They paying less money most likely and focusing on next gen since that’s gonna get the most money for them. It’s a business at end of day…they care nothing about the fans in reality long as we buy their product
@@cjt9264 2k14 was stiff, there was no neighborhood like there is today they downgraded it to make gameplay more smoother and the more they add into the online mode the more they have to degrade the graphics to keep it smooth. 2k21 Next Gen looked better than 2k22 and 23, but both of those play more smoother than 21

This is very misleading. I have a PS5 but that won't stop me from calling out BS when I see it, they clearly downgraded the last gen versions to make it look like there's a vast difference between current/last gen. The last gen versions look like 2K11 but we have current PS4 games that look next gen, so you can't tell me that the PS4 2k23 isn't capable of having better graphics.

Anyone else think the gameplay framerates are atrocious? I'd say it's nowhere near 60fps, more like 40 at best. Not to mention the menu's and the auction house which has you reaching for a sick bucket after a few mins of searching and scrolling. It's the first game on PS5 i've had to ditch for poor framerates and timing.

I have heard there is smoother animations on nextgen, along with improved lighting and the MyEra's mode, but lighitng can be modded in on the PC version. They could have used that shading on the PS4. Just look at 2K14 videos. The game hasn't looked like that for years.

PS5 2K23 almost very close to the real life , the original 1998 real life image color look exactly like that , you can see Jordan dark skin texture little bit natural just like the real life, all Jordan dunks look very good and the last jump shot against Cleveland Cavaliers 1989 very close to the real life + Jordan crossover against b.russel is super good just like the real life. I'm pretty sure PS5 2K23 got this

The ps4 looks better in terms of color and contrast. The ps5 looks like the TV on "store/showroo" mode. It's extremely bright and washed the ps4 looks more natural like when the TV is on cinema mode. Just my opinion.

Actually the PS4 version looks more lively and more realistic and smoother. The colors look more richer also. Not to say that the PS5 doesn’t but the PS4 version just looks a tad better in my opinion.

Dude, Horizon Forbidden West, Miles Morales, Spider-Man Remastered, FF7 Remake intergraded etc etc. Hell, you can just go by Miles Morales on CZcams to see there is a huge difference/wow factor between the PS4 version and PS5 version. Now, to actually play these games I listed, which is just to name a few. When you see it right in front of you. That’s a whole different experience. The graphics are so good, it’s actually hard for me to play my PS4 anymore.
