I'm keeping my Bloodlines 2 key that I got a GMG accident double discount on in the hope it ever comes out, haha.
I don't like PvP in general, so I wish WoD would license only to better genres. I'm never buying that battle royal game.
@@Charok1 It's a free game, no need to pay to play it, just like Apex Legends. Mentioned in this vid that I played it for two years without paying a dime, then felt bad and actually bought a battle pass just to give something to the devs.
It looks promising, but multiplayer FPS isn't my cup of tea personally - I'm too old for twitchy games these days. I was intrigued to learn that it went that far back that it influenced art in the V5 sourcebook and I wish it every success.
I'm in the same boat mate. I'm old enough that I was at the first 3 ICC and even went to them with my future (current) wife) and remember them with a certan fondness

I played the Alfa for only couple of hours, since im horrible in this kind of games and my lifespawn was usualy counted only for dozens of seconds ... :D
But i must express how incredibly exited i am for the whole atmosphere, models and even sound ... as i czech person i really appreciate developers to get there all those details ... like signs in our language, police cars actualy looking like our police cars, even traffic signs and license plates was fiting ... and when i approached NPC and she talked to me in Czech language ... i was in heaven ... and few seconds afterwards i was there litteraly when some Nosferatu cut my head off. :D :D :D
But over and over, the whole feeling of the game was so incredibly immersive i would not believe its possible for Battle Royale, if i didnt experience it myself. :3
It is absolutely gorgeous. I played it for a bit but I can't stand BR games. I'm jealous of the people who will actually get to enjoy it.

Battle royale or not, they have an opportunity to make an insanely fun Vampire: The Masquerade game that could generate more publicity and funds to aid in the development of more high quality VTM games and content.
So even if BR really isn't my thing, I really hope it turns out great.

I don't agree, having a BR VTM game be successful might actually just push them to do multiplayer games. All i want is a single player rpg possibly with coop; nothing more

I played the alpha-test, & I'd describe Bloodhunt as simple & action-packed VTM-themed fun. I don't mind Paradox taking unorthodoxed approaches to WOD video games on occasion as long as we still get great RPG games from them.
Outstar…it’s no wonder you’re the WoD community rep…you do such a great job encouraging new fans as well as honoring the players who were playing during origins of the game. It’s nice to know that Vampire can be for any type of player! We love you!!

I know others may love this, but competitive multiplayer is not for me; and I'm so tired of waiting for Paradox to say *something* about the development of Bloodlines 2. It's been too long to not talk about it (one way or the other) since Hardsuit's termination and any news from Paradox that's not Bloodlines 2 related has become too annoying.

Had a lot of fun playing the alpha. The Elysium looked great and the characters and their powers were fun to play around with

Prague looks so good and realistic in this game! I live in Prague and know lot of old town, one part of the map is actually where I go to university (It was super fun to jump on the uni building :D ) and everything is so we'll done! Details and shapes of the buildings as well as streets and whole scale of the map it's just so realistic. It really feels like being in Prague by night ❤️ Ofc there are some added elements like the construction site, but the important parts of old town are super well done ... Hell even the tram rails match exactly the reality! ❤️
I wasn't able to do it during alpha but I want to make some video guides comparing the in game Prague with real city an tell people some info about the city ❤️
Next time we're talking about Diablerie in my tabletop game, I'm gonna call it Forbiden Sip.

Well I had 0 interest in this game before this video and now I'm eager to try it. The concept was so strange, mixing VtM with Battle Royale, but for what I've seen here and what you have told, it looks really interesting and well thought out.
I don't like battle royales, I am GARBAGE at shooters in general and having to find people to destroy me never really interested me. That said, I got invited into the close alpha and, since I'm a big fan of vtm, decided to give it a shot and was pleasantly surprised.
The game seems pretty well made and fun to play, even while I was getting obliterated I found myself having fun just jumping around, as you say in the video, the movement feels really good and (to my surprise since I live in South America) the connection was excellent not once did I feel lag or delay in any of the 10 or so matches I played. I feel like the powers are not made equal, most people seem to play Nosferatu since being invisible and having wall hacks is amazing and the Brujah's shield thingy flies so fast that it seems pretty useless.
Overall I think it's a good game that has potential to stand out among others of the genre. I don't think it's for me but if you like battle royale games I think it's really worth a shot.
I honestly think that Outstar made the best explanation/ marketing of this game so far. I'm surprised that this game has so much lore involved!
Only heard about the game when i saw a streamer i watch playing it. My first reaction was "that's weird" but very quickly it seemed to be fun and show a lot of promise. Im always a little wary but i think this game could become something really fun. I also wasn't really bothered by the idea of it not being lore friendly and saw it as a weird non canon game that could just be fun to play regardless. But its kind of nice to see there is some consideration of the lore even if some liberties have been taken.
Even if it flops as a game (which I don't foresee), more VtM exposure is always good. With a universal genre like BR, we should hopefully have more than a handful of generic gamers joining the VtM community. Having grown up with the World of Darkness, I will support every effort to make it more accessible to new fans.
These types of games are not my cup of tea but I would love to watch a tournament of it. I need my psychic detective Malkavian in a proper rpg pronto, the anticipation of bloodlines 2 is killing me. I'm liking the V5 stuff, I'm new at tabletop vampire but I looked at v20 and V5 seems easier to learn and keep track of.
I hate BRs but I thoroughly enjoyed this. I'm looking forward to the official release, this is definitely gonna replace Apex for me for as long as it remains active.
I love the santa monica haven background! It was a grimy apartment but it was somehow cozy for a cursed night creature^^ (No drapes though which is bloody weird!!)
I was here for the vampire first and the BR second. But I had alot of fun roaming around using vampire powers and exploring the map. But as it was my very first Battle Royal game and I died so much, and my Inner Brujah came to the surface 😂
I won only once during the whole duration of the alpha, and I play BRs a lot! With more players at release, the matchmaking is hopefully going to match us with similarly skilled folks :D
@@Outstarwalker Well that makes me feel better. They make it look so easy when they just dont get hit very much, and then I'm over here dying before I can even turn around to fire back lol. But I had fun regardless. I actually wouldnt have been able to play if it hadnt been for you. You sent me a spare code, so thank you so much for allowing me to experience more vampire related content.
@@silentcomedyW5 One thing that I noticed was that some people were teaming up in the solo mode, so it is entirely possible you were killed by two friends at least once. Ruined my chance at going higher than 4th.
@@Haan22 oh it happened more than once and really sucks but I cant say it isnt effective
@@Haan22 Yeah that's a pain, happened few times to me too. Fortunately that seems to be very much an alpha's pain exclusively, as with more players joining once the game will be open, it will be hard to end up with your friends in the same solo Elysium. Plus, you'll be able to just add friends manually to your groups.
I got a chance to playtest it in the fall of 2019. It was very...unexpected, to be told that we were testing a BR game placed in the VtM world, seemed a very unlikely match. We all found it quite entertaining however and I've been waiting for a chance to get into it again.
I would love to see a bit more stealth options, and ways to mix in with the kine as cover, but all in all I think this can really work.
Also, I'm glad they're going f2p, as that seemed like the logical way to gain players.

I missed the window (timezones and misreading the timeframe, my fault completely) but have watched a bit of footage, and this game looks really nice and polished for being in the alpha state. I look forward to seeing how it plays firsthand.
Best part of bloodhunt? Dancing "isolated" in the elysium with strangers
I kept trying to get strangers to dance with me on the blood altar but 🤷♂️
@@chriscoray yeah most of the players ignored me too, but some of them were cool enough to dance
remins me a bit of Nosgoth, I love the wall crawling on that but it was also very aware of how the wall crawling effect what abilities to use an how to initiate combat. Hope this also has that. The Masquerade is represented well
Yeah hearing about multiplayer Vampire games makes me miss Nosgoth.
I love how the humans and vampires were balanced in the game. When you start it feels like Vampires are OP but a skilled human could be really frightening as a Vampire.
I loved running and jumping around the town, the movement and look of everything was great, shame I hate BR's but I'd like for bloodhunt to be a success for the devs
Really hoping for a lore mode where you can just explore the map and find those lore tidbits! I suck enormously at battle royale stuff, but the map looks amazing, and I'd love to just wander around at my leisure! Is this something that could be implemented?
A lot of people asked for training/exploration mode after alpha, so we'll see what Sharkmob does with the feedback!
I played alpha version. Not gonna lie, after an hour, I was bored to death. BR just isn't for me. But I will definitely give it another chance, when the whole game comes out.
yeah the collectables from what I saw were in a bit teal color witch made them quite easy to mix up with other locations of items and such, plus apperantly rare loot is hiden in chests and some cars are good ... but yeah it was rather fun, if only it had a few more comunity features like chat and friend groupings ... but they will be there eventually...
i just came back busking in the beautiful city of prague. and i must say: the developers made quite a good job with the map and the design of the buildings! i swear i have seen the hotel were i stayed during my trip!
I'm happy to see they added the tanky Ventrue I was asking for and even happier that the male Ventrue with the lether jacket skin looks FINE AS HELL!
I honestly don't mind it being a BR It's kind of nice that If I want a faced paced shooter I'll soon be able to do that in a VTM universe.
I have never played any battle royal games before, but I liked the look of Bloodhunt so I gave the alpha a try and it was actually fun. I did not win, I did not get many kills (I think the most was 2...) but I had fun! It just felt good smoothly climbing all the buildings, hunting anarchs over the roofs and in the alleyways of Prague's old town or escaping a bunch of other player who suddenly converge on you for having fed carelessly. So I'm definitely looking forward to the release and I'm even somewhat motivated to get better at the game ^^
Back here after the Playstation Event, i am so excited to play this on ps5 and that it got revealed for it(aswell as the upcoming VTM Games), I'm definitely going to be playing this alot! Thanks again Outstar. Keep up the great content!🖤

At first I was extremely sceptical of a battle royal Vampire game. I still kinda am but the gameplay videos that came out today look decent. I would never be very excited about e battle royal game, but if I'm ever to play one, this should be it. Also, maybe this game may become popular which may bring money and eyes on the franchise which could help future Vampire single player games.

BloodHunt is basically the type of VTM games I started running when I was 14 and I first got my hands on the VTM Player's Guide for Second Edition. I also played in the closed alpha this weekend and while it had some issues I thought the whole thing was fun as hell. :D

I like what I have seen in the many twitch streams. It was a FUN weekend to say the least. I saw some players who came from the SHOOTER part of gaming. Others though knew a bit of the vampire lore too.
All in all, a lot of fun just watching them and giving insight into the WoD where needed.
This game might be lore light, but hell, it brings a lot of action. And you know we need that too!
The game looks gorgeous and fluid and stands up lore wise, just think of it as when the protagonist had a bloodhunt in VTM: Bloodlines. If they had the resources back then it would look pretty much like Bloodhunt only in Santa Monica

Congrats on a successful alpha test! VTM Bloodhunt could be a great game in the future if the devs keeps supporting it with new clans, game modes and even new maps.
I'm hyped, I can't wait to play this with my friends who are not yet into WOD so I can get them into WOD.

I love VtM, but I've been playing the closed alpha for the past few days and I can tell you that if you don't normally like battle royale games - you won't like this one. It suffers from all the same problems the rest of the genre suffers from, which to summarize are that due to the inherent format of the genre, most of your time on the game is spent with matches you lose and where you spend very little time engaging with the "fun" part of the game (fully equipped and battling other fully equipped players). You aren't guaranteed any kind of even playing field against other players, you can easily be taken out of the match by some random sniper without ever doing anything wrong, and you can't respawn. Because of that, camping and hiding is inherently encouraged - thereby also discouraging anyone from engaging with the most rewarding parts of the game. It's a painfully slow roll of the dice as to whether or not you win these games. I want to respawn. I want to spend 90% of my time in matches fighting other players with cool vampiric powers - not skulking around, looting vans, and praying I don't randomly stumble across someone with way better gear than me.
I have a lot of suggestions that I think could save this game for players like me that I plan to post in the discord, as I believe that is where they requested official alpha feedback. But I have no reason to believe this game is currently anything special for those of us VtM fans that don't like battle royale games, which is a shame, because I was really hoping it would be.
Love VTM and apex legends so I can't wait till this comes out

About this game.... nah this is something not for me (can't say us, as it's my personal opinion).
Battle royale games got stale for me pretty quick, adding some World of Darkness lore and "paint" won't change what the game is about, yet another Battle Royale.
Still hope it will be succesfull, as if it fails... will put extra weight on following games within the same IP
I don't say Bloodhunt is bad bc its a battle royal and It can't have a good story, but bc of the core gameplay the exact opposite of what VTM is. Think about it, VTM is a game about a horroristic although very social, cunning creatures who struggle with their humanity on a daily basis. What we do in the gameplay violates the rule of masqurade on a whole new level.
I really enjoyed the alpha weekend, I'd consider myself more of a vtm fan then that battle royale but it was still great. Now fingers crossed for a gehenna map...
I don't care about Battle Royale games but this actually sounds fun and I love that we can use the Elysium for RP. Even my wife, who doesn't usually play videogames, was thinking it sounds fun. I'm curious how certain Clans will work when they're added. Will Hecata raise the dead? My heart says yes but my head says no

The game seems interesting. I'm not a battle royale player but I love the setting, and the class/masquerade mechanic is really cool.
I think as a Vampire battle royal style game, i can't help but feel like its a huge missed opportunity to not have the sun rising instead of the ring closing.
Between this, Swangsong, The interactive fiction trilogy and Bloodlines 2, we are getting spoiled with Vampire games. I wonder how closely they will connect.

A vampire can absorb another vampire's power, killing it in the process. It is generally not allowed in "civilized" vampire society, but can be allowed during a bloodhunt. A bloodhunt is a sanctioned hunt and kill event, usually as a sentence on a vampire that has broken some of the more severe rules of the masquerade.
Diablerie is a successful attempt of draining another vampire dry, which results in consuming not only their vitae, but also their "soul". It makes a diablerizing vampire stronger, but also marked as a diablerist in their aura. It's often considered a punishable crime in both Camarilla and Anarch domains, although it's similarly often used as a "prize" for Kindred participating in an officially sanctioned bloodhunt - when the local faction leader calls a death sentence on another Kindred, diablerie serves as an incentive for Kindred to participate and potentially get more powerful in the process.
It looks decent enough to be enjoyable at least. And Vtm lore is full of mystic powers that'll make a BR game very enjoyable and quite different than others in the genre.
So I missed it, but Eroktic seemed to enjoy it so I guess that should be a seal of approval.. :D

Played the open beta and the playtest. Been enjoying this game for a while. I just hate battle royales in terms of "I get third partied, I slam an empty bottle on the floor" type deal.
I am playing the game (got a key for the alpha) and my experience has been good, i would like to have a better pc for perfomance buuut, its a very promising game of the wod, hope they release it on mobile or something that eventually
Swansong is a CRPG? My understanding of how the term is used is something like Fallout 1 or 2, or even more modern like Divinity original sin. Is that what it's gonna be like?? If so I'm even more excited than i'd normally be!
Not in that scale, it's similar to The Council, but more expanded in scope!

I am so confused about this game. Is VTMB2 in development hell, is is being changed to the new game and this or? Very confused.
Battle royal and pvp in general really isn't my area, but I do like mmo and pve. I hope down the line they have a sabbat expansion. In terms of lore, every night is battle royal for the sabbat clans. Roasting someone with Koldunic Sorcery or disintegrating them with shadows would never get old..

I don't get why nosferatu movement power is way better than celerity... makes no sense. That said, too bad it is another BR :( It would be awesome if we could see our characters in Bloodlines 2 like we can in this game :o

I played the alpha. It was a fun and unique take on the genre. A little buggy (to be expected) and the balance felt like it could use a bit of work. The Toreador Siren passive was very situational compared to others. I hope to see a lot more character customization options in the final product. Some better looking face options for female characters would be nice because half of the options were pretty damn ugly. Unfortunately, that seems to be the status quo for female characters in western games these days.
Really nice video. The game looks kind strange for WoD, but its really nice i think. (my pc can't support the game. sad)
In Brazil some big streamers already played and sayed its good game. But they're kind saturated of Battle Royale system.

Toreador or the Brujah don't have The Celerity ability in this game. I was hoping they did have that ability. That is what really upsets me about this game. Celerity looked amazing in bloodlines 1, I just cant wait for bloodlines 2

Tbh I was really upset when they announced that a battle royal game will be released. I'm happy that they try to bring in more new people into the world of darkness but for me, this game just straight up ignores everything that VTM is about. I hope the game will be successful but I still hate it.
