Is this just me or does the sound get distorted, when there is much bass? I have this distorted sound from the right front woofer when im listening to music with much bass, looking for a solution since i bought the car a year ago ...
Actually, I have the same problem too but on the left side. You can hear it in the video when the camera is near the driver's seat. I have already diagnosed it and that distortion is coming from the amp. I have replaced TDA8563Q on it but that did not fix it. The problem is somewhere in the filter circuit. The sound gets clipped sooner than usual and that's why it distorts. I'll replace the whole amp soon.

I just got an E46 that came with the HK sound system stock, but I’m not for sure the best way I can run music off my phone onto the radio I’m sure it doesn’t have Bluetooth or anything and I can’t find any aux Port, how are you playing your music in the video?
If you have original head unit that is made after year 2002 and its part number does not end with 241, 711, 072 or 963, you can buy aux cable that directly plugs in the back side of it and gives you 3.5mm port for normal aux cable. Then when you plug it in and click mode button there will be AUX option added
Hey, I watched both videos and already tried the H&K swap on my e46 limo. My problem is still the cable. I bought it on eBay and I got everything but how did you plug it in the radio and I did the doors the subs and the amp and still have no sound at all.. thanks!

The rear deck cover only has holes for the normal speakers and not the 6x9? The 6x9 still are covered in carpet?
It does have holes for 6x9 speakers. They are just covered up and need to be hit by hammer to open. Checkout my previous video where I did that

@AudioTherapy0 yeah I know but I'm talking about the carpet or the fabric that covers the rear deck, there's no holes for the 6x9?
If you are talking about yellow lining, it has pre-cuts too. And there is no other way of mounting those 6x9 speakers other than shown in the video.

Are you sure that HK amp is working?
Are you happy with it? Was it a big improvement?
Yes. Way more low end sounds and spatial effect makes it sould a lot better too.
Also better highs. And if you have base sound system which does not have middle speakers in doors then it will be a very big improvement.
