  • Having a quality motorcycle lift is important and there are plenty out there but not many that have a capacity of 1500 lbs at a great price. In this video, I review, put together and try out a 1500 lb motorcycle lift made by Vevor. Let's lift our bikes with a quality motorcycle lift and a great price.

    I’ve never had any issues with the reviews that BoDean does. I’ve found them to be upfront, reliable and honest. Some products I’ve bought and loved. Other products I decided that I wasn’t interested in or wasn’t satisfied with. For example I bought Indie Ridge gloves and absolutely love them but I bought the Indie Ridge boots and didn’t like them so I returned them. I’ve seen BoDean’s review of the Let’s Roll motorcycle dolly and believe it’s a 100% quality product but I just haven’t convinced myself to shell out almost $700.00 for something that I won’t use very often. The only issue I see with this particular jack is the width. I’ve got a Pitbull jack that is much wider and provides for a more stable lift. One reason I watch more of BoDean and Ty From Tennessee videos is that they aren’t always showing bike builds with products that they receive for free. They are showing good, everyday riding experiences. Keep it up guys!

      Appreciate that my friend and everybody doesn’t know me so that’s cool. You know what a big fan I am of Lets Roll motorcycle lift and Dolly. Everybody can’t afford those though so that’s why I made a video so people had options.

    I bought a motorcycle jack similar to that one. It has its uses but, I invested in a true motorcycle lift. I went the cheap route and bought it from Harbor Freight. I replaced the front wheel chock and drilled in some u bolts for tie down points. Bought some anti skid pads that I stuck on the center of the lift to make it safer loading the bike on and off. It works great. I haven’t used the jack since.

      @EzlivnMaine Před 3 měsíci +1

      Agreed. I did the same thing. I am not going to put my pride and joy and my investment on $135 lift. This is the problem that I have with these people that review they get free stuff and it’s not a biased review they’re just saying what they have to say to get the free stuff.

      @@EzlivnMaine I wouldn’t say Bodean is giving a review that is biased. I think he is a honest guy. I was just saying that a lift table is the better and safer option when it comes to lifting a heavy motorcycle. Probably some folks on here who don’t like the harbor freight lift table too. I’ve had good luck with mine. To each his own.

      @@BoDean52 i’m definitely not saying you’re a bad guy and I have been following you for quite some time and I’ve seen a lot of your videos but this one I’m sorry I totally disagree with you. This is something that I would use for my lawn tractor. Why don’t you put your brand new Harley on that, and do an oil change or do a polishing or do some stuff with it then give us the review. I’ll probably get labeled as a troll, but I’m really not. I just like to get transparency. There are so many out there that have sold their soul to the CZcams devil.

    These Chinese lifts have been produced for decades and sold under various different brand names. I bought one through Sears more than 10years ago, I believe I paid $85. I used it on the Victory countless times. Its still going strong, in fact, I just used it to change tires on the Goldwing...

      @@BoDean52 ... For the Victory I had put the lift struts on the outside of the legs to fit the bike. On the Wind I put blocks on the sturts to fit between the exhaust. Then I put bike on the center stand and used the lift to raise the front so both tires were off the ground slightly... Perfect for not struggling to get rims and tires on or off

    There was an interesting video done by the YT channel Paul Pomerleau 3 years ago. In it he shares his experience with his 1500 lbs motorcycle jack, where he has replaced the bottle jack a couple of times now.
    He goes on to explain that due to the relationship between the lever, fulcrum and amount of effort produced by the bottle jack, the 1500 lbs bottle jack can only lift up a ~600lbs motorcycle.
    In order to lift up his 800lbs Victory Cross Country, he would need a 2000lbs bottle jack.
    If your bike is close to or over that 600lbs rating, just make sure to use the stops and get the weight off the bottle jack.

    • @BoDean52

    If I didn’t already have a similar jack, I’d probably get that one. Looks very well built, and the rubber pads look sturdy. I only use mine for primary and transmission oil changes, and washing wheels and tires. I don’t have room for a proper lift, so that’s not an option.

    • @BoDean52

    People will spend 30-40 thousand on their bikes and then go economy on lifts. What am I missing? Anyway, maybe you know this already but anytime you put a bike on a lift, no matter how long, always release pressure from bottle so the weight rests on the safeties. Done correctly, bike can stay there all winter if need be. How many times people wine about bottle pump failure because of leaving weight under pressure!

    • @BoDean52
      @BoDean52  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Pressure was released just not in video, good advise though. Not going “economy “at all. As a matter fact, I have a $600 lift from Lets Roll and Dolly. Many folks though can’t afford a lift like that, so this gives them an option. Thats the idea of videos like this.

    I have a very similar jack to this. Paid around the same maybe 7 years ago here in Aus. I mainly use it to spin my road glide after a ride. Ride in, lift it, spin it, drop it. Easy for next exit. Curious as to how that one lowers to the ground. Mine is a bit quick, but manageable.

      @BoDean52 It's just a lift table with a wheel chock. My BMW has a center stand so it sits nice and straight.
      My Road King I place in the chok and sits upright. Just strap them down.
      Bikes are 3 feet in the air and a pleasure to work on that way.
      Wish we could send pics on here.
