Pheasant Fight

North Norfolk, the evening of May the 5th 2022. A kerfuffle in the field where where two cock pheasants are having fisticuffs.

I didn't know that. This particular species was introduced to the UK by the Romans thousands of years ago. They are very common now.

As far as I know, the crested ibis was the national bird of Japan.

The pheasants in the video are most likely Mongolian pheasants and the pheasants endemic to Japan are Green pheasants (Phasinus versicolor). He/She must have probably confused them.
