Geesh then make another one yourself. I like it
Biker: "let's roll, boys."
Roadrunner: "meep meep"
wtf is this a 90's action movie? why is there a helicopter involved
Ikr lmfao I couldn't stop laughing
They had to chase down and pull over those bikers for going 26 mph.
Michael Bay was probably involved.
@@Ogiv nah...something wouldve blown up
Cause the 90's were better
This has to be completely fake... It didn't say "Beep Beep"
LMAO
right ^^
RockandMetal645 well the car does it ,atleast when you press the horn
Lol 😂
RockandMetal645 its "meep meep"
That Acme helicopter crashed after it tried flying through a painting of a tunnel.
rofyle it really crashed, ntsb reports

Damn it, wil.e coyote!!
yes!
*MEEP MEEP!*
As an Australian I had no idea this was a real animal. Holy crap. This thing is almost as fast as Usain Bolt
I’m from the U.S., is a Usain Bolt a type of bird?, don’t know what one looks like.
@@willowwisp6401no it's a person
@@willowwisp6401 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I used to see them frequently when I played out in the desert near Del Rio, TX as a kid. Beautiful birds and magnificent hunters!
@@blandanteyit's a joke, man
Just so we're clear, these guys hired a bunch of bikers, a few police cars and a freaking helicopter to shoot a video about a tiny bird. Now that, is production value.
did anybody els think of the budget for this clip here? a damn helicopter. lol
Reid Woodman It was probably being flown by the coyote and the chopper must have been bought from Acme.
It's when I see clips like this that I realise the TV licence _is_ worth it.
XD!!!
That helicopter crashed with two fatalities in 2002.
It's BBC, so I'm not that surprised.
When he began speaking I thought the bird was talking lol
lol
Me too. I laughed.
My leg can move that fast
11 second im in track slow acceleration
same here! hah!
As a kid, I always pictured road runners to be 6 feet tall
That would be terrifying.
And also cool.
Ok but these shots are unironically insane
When I was a kid I heard about how fast roadrunners are and one day I saw one standing in my front yard so I tried to chase it to see how fast it ran. It flew away. =[ Haven't seen a single one since.
I saw one today, but it seemed to be more in the mood for some casual walking.
Hilarious!
SkippyDW i can run 30mph
+Benjamin Garcia Sure u can
It just runs to catch shit that's on the ground. It knows humans can't climb trees worth a damn, so it's easier just to fly 5 feet up into a tree.
The cartoon lied to me. The cartoon Road Runner is so much bigger.
This video lied to you. Not the cartoon.
How so ?
yeah there are like two spices of roadrunners
Patrick P yeah that thing on the cartoon looks like a fxckin ostrich lol
maned wolf the word is species... spices is what you put on your chicken for dinner...
2:20 when your mom says "make sure you get those chores done before I get back" and you forget but get that text "I'm on my way home"
WHY
Lmao
Fun fact: contrary to their depictions in cartoons, coyotes are actually way faster than roadrunners
Yeah, I remember reading that they can reach almost double speed, but roadrunners are still very skilled at slipping away so they are indeed quite challenging to catch even for a coyote.
This isn’t fun at all. It destroys my whole childhood.
Sure…while using ACME rocket boosters.
But if road runners were the size of coyotes they would be faster

Rafael Breban for reals
This is the first time i've actually seen a real roadrunner.Pretty cool.
What's funny/sad is how many people actually took the cartoon that serious. Smh
The effort this took has my respect
I'll never forget traveling through the Southwest and we came upon a roadrunner that had gotten stuck in the middle of a busy 4-lane road and was doing all he could to make it to safety. The speed and reflexes of that friggin bird just blew me away. I thought he was a gonner two or three times but he always managed to dart out of the way of the car at the last second. I've never seen any ground creature move with that much speed. Cheetahs and a few other animals will beat it on a flat track, but they'll never catch him....he's got too many moves.
Did it dodge any coyotes?
Yes they are agility
I just learned that road runners are actual birds. I thought that Warner Bros. made them up. They are very cool birds.
I have not seen a such funny and odd video in the same time these days like I saw now. The changes of camera showing the bird running along the helicopter and the action song... this is perfect
I like that comical I'm A Roadrunner song by the Rolling Stones and M Jagger ran across the stage in some video near as fast as that comical bird! Pretty good for and old bird of 79!
The roadrunner is a truly unique creature on the planet.
Imagine being born one of the very few animals that can fly and just being like "nah, I'm good"
@@chrisofstars The Roadrunner from Looney Toons wouldn't have been born if not for this unique creature.
1:12 I was expecting the frame to freeze and its Latin name pop up underneath
+Hairysteed yes, that would have been perfect.
+Hairysteed omg yes
+Paula Hasstenteufel 30#&(&
I paused at 1:14, wrote down the Latin name and put it under the road runner. Pretty accurate right?

A coyote's top speed is 43 mph. I just wanted to throw that out there.
yes but they never actually reach that speed due to all the Acme gadgets they lug around.
Hey, but can he fly? I just thought I should toss one back lol.
aznravechild6i9 Yeah but do they eat pellets that are the equivalent to gunpowder?
AzNrAvEcHiLd6i9 so does it mean that a Coyote can catch up to a Roadrunner?
Was that road runner metaphor really worth hiring 15 actors six motorcycles, I helicopter, two police cars, and setting up a barricade… What kind of shooting budget to do they have over there?
Never thought I would see a real life roadrunner
How are they getting these angles
Mini humans with cameras..
amazing
mangualc Another roadrunner with a SteadyCam.
Exactly! First thing that came to mind. Was obviously too old to be CGI. Surprised more people aren't asking. :)
THEY CAUGHT IT AND MADE IT RUN AROUND WHERE THEY WANTED.
Never mind Looney Toons, a coyote can out run a roadrunner. Coyotes can catch up to roadrunners easily, but roadrunners can outsmart coyotes by getting out of reach.
But coyotes can shop at the Acme Hardware store and get many gadgets that give them an edge in the chase.
@@chev6art 🤣🤣
I don't watch movies much anymore so I'll nominate you for an Oscar! 🤣🤣
🥸
Coyotes can reach 72 km/h.
It’s so cute and tiny! Real roadrunners are smaller than the cartoon
I wanted to see that "Coyote" wear "Rocket Propelled Tennis Shoes" 😁
MEEP MEEP!
Beep Beep
Nope!!! GOTCHA The Looney Tunes roadrunner says Meep Meep instead of Beep Beep.
is it Beep beep, or meep meep ?? You decide. i think beep
No its sheep sheep
it is meep meep
That's really deep deep!
"VIP VIP"
Its Beep Meep
Thank you for showing a running road runner, I've always been curious.
What is this quality bro, I'm starting to feel like I was actually there.
Also, why's this the cutest comment section ever. XD
This is European television. The difference is that's it's not just only product placement.
Road Runners live in the Ozarks. They have been found as far north as Jefferson City, Missouri when the winters are mild. We need to protect these critters from Wile E Coyote and other such scoundrels. They are our friends!!
1:58 Roadrunner: (sees police) Oh shit, the cops (runs the other way)
I love the roadrunner!!! I have a family I feed we just had triplets.....they are amazing birds!!
I thought Road Runner was just a cartoon character ! I didn't know they were real bird species 😲😲
It didn't say, "Beep! Beep!" Where's the coyote?

They are a species of ground-cuckoo. There are actually two Roadrunner species, the Greater Roadrunner, native to the southern Great Plains, Southwest, and Mexico, and the Lesser Roadrunner, restricted to West Mexico.
I don't understand how 'heating up' would give it more energy. Birds are already warm blooded.
Sorry it's been 3 years but I have an answer. They mainly do that in the mornings when the sun is rising because the nights of the deserts are actually very, very cold. There's rarely ever snow or ice in the deserts because its just too dry but the temperatures can go well under freezing at night despite that. They have black skin underneath their feathers to help absorb the heat after a freezing night time so they can be ready to start hunting again. They are made to thrive in the hot hot heat, running hot is their normal. They like to be hot, not cold.
New Mexico grown, mate. We literally have these beautiful buggers running along our fences and walls, but it's rare enough to be awesome.
That was fucking intense.
To be honest it was and for the WHOLE record this video is giving me the WEIRDEST Déjà Vu right now
I just want to know how they managed to capture these fascinating shots. So cinematic.
Ikr? The footage itself is great.

ROADRUNNER ROADRUNNER ......goes 26 miles an hour....with the radio on
Roadrunner once, Roadrunner twice I live in Joshua Tree CA and love these awesome creatures
If you see the darn runner in real life you will understand how they made a cartoon out of it. Its legs really do look like they go round and round like the cartoon.
I seen it. 💀 They actually do. 💀
I'm from Cali...we used to have these guys running down the drainage ditch on our slope.
I wonder how they got those bikers to sign up for the video. "Looking for tough bikers to chase a small bird on a desert road." I'm in!
Free Beer. That's how George Miller got Bikers to starr in the first Mad Max Movie because he didn't have Money for real Actors. But I doubt free Beer for Bikers is cheaper than semi-professional Actors.
Such a wholesome video. I'm downloading this. Best narration. Plus it's uploaded 10 years ago. Ah! Nostalgia
Now I know where the Lizalfos came from
I picked up a roadrunner that got hit by a car. I took it to the hospital but it recovered while it was in the car, and escaped. As soon as I opened the car door, it literally vanished in a split second like as if it was never there.
Run very fast!
Porkie pig an I have the original picture of the Road Runner, this is an imposter.
MEEP MEEP!
I remember the first time I hit 100 mph in a car as a teen. I thought that was intense. But this chicken can run 26 mph on foot and it looks way more intense. 😂
I’ve seen roadrunners in Palm Springs in the desert. They’re fast never knew what the actually looked like.
Road runners remind me so much of dinosaurs than most other birds
To be honest I never thought that road runners were a real animal I always thought they were just a cartoon character but now that I know Road Runner’s are real this is the greatest bird
Me too I thought Road Runner was just a cartoon character but they are real. They are found in the southwestern and south-central United States and Mexico, usually in the desert
( that's what the internet told me) I love up watching Looney Tunes and I so love watching Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote anyway

Do you want to find a miniature tyrannosaurus? Try a chicken.
+DevilMaster Yup. Also a turkey is very similar, the bones and the overall shape.
I think they are comparing the way it runs.
...I am *quite* positive actual tyrannosaurids (incidentally among the direct ancestors of modern birds) ran NOTHING like that. AFAIK paleobiologists aren't even in agreement on whether the big ones could truly run, in the specific biomechanical sense of the word, in the first place or if their sheer mass restricted them to just taking long and swift steps.
I think most if not all dinosaurs had air sacs like modern birds, so they would have been at least half of their original predicted weights! Juvenal Tyrannosaurs would probably have been very fast and agile. Even the older, fully grown, tyrannosaurs may have ran, just not as fast as the younger ones!
Dill Turner Land animals have no need for the extensive system of air sacs (extending into pneumaticised bones) at least two separate lineages of flying critters - birds and pterosaurids - evolved though. Also not exactly suggested in the skeletal evidence...
And the basic "flow-through" respiratory system is a distinctive and characteristic trait of all archosaurs - including crocodiles, which aren't exactly meaningfully lighter for that. Does give them unusually good aerobic stamina for exothermic reptiles tho (might also help them mitigate Carrier's constraint but idk).
broadbandislife Makes sense xD I thought hollow bones where found to be in sauropod and theropod skeletons though? It is fun to wonder how such massive creatures could manage to live on land!
One of the funniest birds ❤️❤️😂
Roadrunner hasn’t received a single penny of the royalties owed.

When we moved to our retirement home I saw roadrunners for the first time. Our driveway is half a mile and I see them often now walking to the mailbox. I get surprisingly close. Never seemed to move quickly.
I wondered how the coyote never caught them.
Then I turned a corner in the car one day. A roadrunner was right in front of me. I hit the brakes. The roadrunner took off in flight like a bullet. Just like the cartoon shape. That long shape.
When they want to be fast they sure are.
It takes energy and hydration out of them and makes them heat up so they use the speed only when it's needed
All this expensive film production just to show off a bird, I LOVE IT!
And the Road Runner was still the comedy star of the fun film!
Amazing direction and videography!!
Waooo...beautiful...A super athletic bird...
