I’m disappointed they don’t actually meep. LOL. It was my fav cartoon. Thing is I used to think they were lyrebirds when I was younger. Because Australian lyrebirds look very similar when running. When I learned they weren’t I thought they were made up. Then I found out they were real birds.

fun fact: The beeping came from Paul Julian a background artist at Warner bros. Who, while carrying large stacks of background paintings would make the iconic "Beep Beep" noise to clear a path in the hallways.

If you are one of those people that thought road runners say "Beep Beep" only because of Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner, I wouldn't believe a TV show where somebody can survive accidental falls from high heights, doesn't fall to the ground until he notices he's suspended in mid-air, and survives the kind of injuries he survives.

I was down in Campo California which sits right on the border with Mexico.
The three of us wandered into the desert and wandered into Mexico.
Each of us was armed, - each with an entirely different weapon.
For a very dry Sagebrush-like environment the number of different animals was amazing.
Out in front of me on the ground - at some distance was some bird 😐, - a big bird. But upon approaching it - it simply didn't fly, fly away, or anything.
But man could that thing move.
20 miles per hour ? Not even. But I will say that I swear, it acted just like Roadrunner. Statue-still one second, -
    and - 'FLASH' like a camera-flash - like,
zero to sixty in a second, that's right -
    just like the cartoon.
