Amanda's portrayal of Elizabeth was eerie. She gave life to her cunningness and ruthlessness so accurately that her Emmy was deserved. How ominous is that day for her.
That’s because they’re in it together. This isn’t reality.
Its not fair for the kids only bec elizabeth just had them to delay or reduce her prison term. She did the deed knowingly defrauding the public and put peoples health in jeopardy. Hard enough to be sick without people like her making it more difficult and dangerous.
She deserves all those jail time and more🤯

@@katharinewhits She spat out two kids *after* her crimes had come to light and while she was undergoing a criminal trial for fraud and conspiracy. Honestly, as an adult human with a functioning brain, do you think it's normal to "try and start a big family" (her words there, not mine) when you are in the middle of a high profile criminal trial and looking at a decade+ in prison? She probably would of spat out more if she had time. No better time to start your family, right? You get to not be there for the all important formative years of your babies lives, then try and be "mommy" a decade later to two kids who only know you as someone from a few weekend prison visits.
The scumbag's a conwoman fraudster; she knew exactly what she was doing, trying to spit out as many kids as possible before sentencing to just use for pity. Those kids were nothing more than another vain, self-centered attempt at getting a lesser sentence because of the age old "Oh, think of the children!" bullshit.

Amanda was phenomenal as Elizabeth Holmes! But she’s right, those kids are gonna suffer the most but Holmes brought this all on herself.
She had those poor kids to get sympathy, knowing what was coming. Psychopaths use everyone, even their own children. In the bigger picture, they'll be better off raised by hopefully more empathetic people.
Wait so if a woman has kids we should reconsider prison time? What a world we live in. No one says that about a male criminal. The message would be get those kids to safety away from the deadbeat dad. Why can’t we say thank god those kids won’t be around that horrible woman?
Imagine when the kids find out eventually that they were concieved to keep mommy out of jail for a little bit longer. Holmes is a very disturbed woman.
Elizebeth Holmes proved she would choose herself before children by having them. Really like do you see here as a parent?

Fantastic role for Amanda here. Thank you for such an honest and cold portrayal of a psychopath. So sad that the sentencing does not account for the real victims of her crimes: the people who trusted the tests.

She's such such an amazing actress, and it's crazy to think this was the same woman who portrayed Karen Smith. The way she played Elizabeth Holmes had me shook, I've never watched any other movies or series by her except mean girls and the dropout, but I instantly saw her talent.

As a parent all I first thought about Holmes going to prison was about her kids... She has a two year boy and a three month old girl...
You can argue she had them as a ploy to stay out of prison, but her kids are 100% innocent and will now grow up largely motherless.

I have very little sympathy for a woman who so easily without any care at all was willing to put literally millions of lives at stake for her own self-aggrandisement and enrichment. Not that she should be judged by the actions of her parent but her dad was one of the head honchos of Enron and its debacle. Does Miss Seyfried have a clue what Enron was all about? The point, anyway, is that the apple does not seem to have fallen too far from the tree, at millions of peoples' expense. Elizabeth Holmes was a total fraud. She and her bogus boyfriend endangered and threatened any people who tried to being light to the situation. She has gotten off with a relative slap on the wrist for what she did. She knew she was in trouble, had an opportunity to start pumping out babies in the face of some serious jail time in an effort to distract from the situation, her conviction. To say she didn't know what she was doing is absurd. No respect. She should have gotten more time at an institution of more "normal" operations so she can find out what the real people of the world have to go through - she might develop a little more empathy and care for others.

I'm a bit shook and disappointed at Seyfried's seeming compassion and pity for a sociopath ...all of her interviews I've watched so far seem to indicate she has "empathy", as she called it in other interviews, for this monster who cared more about her status and money than about people's LIVES. Those kids are lucky to be away from her. I have zero compassion for this criminal. She deserves all the jail time she got and more! Her comment at the end that "in some ways" the jail time is the fair thing floored me --really? In "some" ways? Um...you mean, in ALL the ways it's the fiar thing! C'mon!
