She's often talked about wanting to continue making music but the increased hate shes gotten over the last 2 years probably got to her & thats why she said that. The issue here is that they won't talk badly about those other performers but they will talk badly about Kpop if Le sera messes up.
They will say that of course Kpop is all about lip-syncing and not being able to sing. The girls and Kpop as a whole is gonna get dragged by people that are just looking for an excuse to hate on Kpop.
But I'm hoping that the girls succeed and prove everyone wrong. But it is still normal to be concerned.

Lucky Girl Syndrome is going up on the charts and I heard they plan to promote it as a B-side after one month promotion with Magnetic.
I have high expectations for their comeback when their webtoon lore will release details soon. With Midnight Fiction holding good quality it can only go up from there.
Hybe has planned a girl group for a Sailor Moon inspired magical girl concept since 2021. The concept was meant for ILLIT since their 1st mini-album fan meeting Moka was holding a Sailor Moon-esque wand.
I can now see why Wonhee, Youngseo (now gone), Minju, Yunah, Moka and Iroha were selected for the debut line-up.
But Magnetic feels out of place in my opinion. Another Bang PD song for virality and not much to fit members vocals. Moka and Iroha are overshadowed by this song when there are many low-range parts. We learn from RU Next they are limited to certain type of songs to shine.
magnetic is only like odd front / rosy MAYBE at best but i dont see the comparison at all they're just newjeans 2.0. i will forever hold onto the belief that magnetic couldve just been a newjeans comeback.
frfr like ik there are minor differences in the sound (newjeans having more rnb hip hop influences, illit being more dreamy, fantastical pop) but it sounds too similar... i dont mind having more newjeans style groups on the scene, but they gotta be doing sumn a little bit more unique ykwim

Personally Baemon probably the biggest disappointment for me so far. Everything pre debut was SO DAMN GOOD. And YG gives them Batter up... ( probably the worst debut i ever heard i my life ) not that its technically not good, its just so f**king bland and souless. That ballad... bruh... boring af. And then Sheesh.... omg as bad as batter up.

I have an opinion about ahyeon, although her vocals are good, even too good, I don't think it matches baby monster's songs, especially in batter up... I had a jump scare when I heard the second pre - Chorus because she practically screams, and in the other version the girls sing in softer tones. Although she's incredible, I don't think aggressive high notes will suit her vocals because she's a high-pitched voice... My ears really hurt on her high notes in Sheesh so... Idk...

And ima be completely honest i didn't even care to listen to the ot7 version of Batter up cuz imo that song is so trash, no amount of Ahyeon or whoever/whatever could make it good.

The thing about Ill-it and every other recent kpop group is that none of them have any kind of actual star power. Their vocals are mediocre just bare minimum at best, no actual stage presence, songs are starting to become even MORE formulaic. Yeah they're gorgeous and young but that's basically like every idol in the industry rn, what can make an idol different from the rest if they're all basically just a copy of one another?

Some thoughts i have:
•ILLIT's magnetic, as catchy as it is, is SO safe, short and simple. I wanna see HYBE be a lil more experimental because they haven't been as creative as they could've been imo. Newjeans by Newjeans is an example of something a bit more experimental and the stage performances were super fun! Anyways, back to Magnetic, I like the Pluggnb instrumental a lot and Minju's voice is super nice!
•ILLIT's album is very much like Newjeans debut formula. Ridiculously short (3 songs tf-), two vibrant songs with choreo and one chill song.
•Kiss Of Life is GIVING it all with their comeback 'Midas Touch'! Vocals, Choreo and confidence! The song vibe is very good! It's like if you combined Girl's Generation with Britney Spears and Girlicious!
•Babymonster is a great group, as expected from YG's training quality (Blackpink is another story- they ATE in their debut to 2020 era tho!) but Sheesh is kinda cringe imo.... It sounds like a 30 year old trying to make a trendy commercial song for a pair of sneakers to appeal to the younger marker.
•Wendy is arguably one of the best vocalists but Wish You Hell is kinda meh.
