Not a devastating storm, for Texas. Doesn't compare to Ike in 2008, or Rita in 2005, or Alicia in 1983 even! Only issue is that this is nearly the middle of summer, and if power grid fails there will be high temps once the storm clears and the sun returns... if anyone in Texas dies it won't be due to Beryl directly, but due to heat stroke later in the week because of power loss and thus no air conditioning as the sun starts to bake us again! That's the danger in this storm.

Hmmmm I wonder how people a hundred years ago and earlier were able to live without a/c 😂😂

@@beowulf885 And the Houston power grid will fail. Hell, we lost electricity yesterday when the it began raining with no wind.

@@beowulf885 Well I’m not 100 years old yet, I’m 73 years old. Anyway I live in Sulphur La. Southwest La. I grew up here without a/c. We had window fans and attic fans and we didn’t miss what we didn’t have.
It’s hot here with that terrible humidity we have. I’m originally from Aransas Pass Texas. I remember the gulf breeze that we got, over here there isn’t any breeze. A/C has made a sissy out of me cause I can’t do without it now.

Your soft ball analogy is silly. And when you're riding a bike and hit water it does not jerk you back. You continue forward. The bike doesn't though. Ffs Tony,
