Can anybody really celebrate England winning football matches in this way? Surely entertainment in the game of football should be more important than just winning at any cost.
Those penalties were pretty. It's not luck to get 5 out of 5. The goal Saka scored was pretty. Bellingham's two goals were both pretty, especially the second one. The media overhyped how poor England was in the first few games. They haven't looked worse than France who are one of the favourites. Slovenia gave Portugal problems. England have gotten better as the tournament as gone on and if that continues, they could win.
Harry Kane has been invisible for every game, we're playing with 10 men.
He's slow, not pressing, never there for crosses, and missed at least 2 headers which were easy.
Toney, or Watkins have to start!
Kane knows he's not playing well, and a good captain should put England first, and insist that the best striker play, over his own ego of wanting to play!

In all history England has never beaten a major football nation in a knockout tie away from Wembley in their entire history. Those countries include Brazil, Germany, Italy, Argentina, France, Spain, Portugal and the Netherlands.

Stuart Pearce is arrogant in the way he sees penalty shooout. It's a lottery because no one is sure of the outcome. Even good penalties can be saved if the goalie guesses correctly. How come you misssed your penalty, Stew, if you are so confident?
To a small extent it’s a lottery but like with most things you increase your chances dramatically with proper preparation, it’s that simple.

The way English fans and pundits moan about the way Southgate's team plays you'd think England has a history of playing free-flowing Total Football, reminiscent of the Dutch teams in the 1970s. England teams have *ALWAYS* played boring, unattractive football. It's an integral part of the country's footballing identity. The fans should just be grateful that the quality of players produced by the best footballing nations has decreased so *DRASTICALLY* over the last 20 years that England now has a realistic chance of competing for trophies, because they aren't so far behind any more.
