- This is the story of a 33 day, 515 mile walk on the ancient Spanish pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela, the famous Camino de Santiago. This is a 5 part series, vlogging our experience on the Spanish Camino Del Norte route, starting in Bilbao in early October. The tale is filled with lessons, history, mishaps, amigos, food, and learning how to let the Camino “be the Camino”.
Join us for Part III of this lighthearted adventure: The Beauty. Although the weather takes a turn for the worse as we are caught in the rain, the Camino del Norte shows us its beauty in the landscapes, the people, and the spirit of the Camino.
The hike across Spain is now in full swing, and we are committed to the accomplishment of the pilgrimage.

Collin, I’d love to know what sandals you’re wearing?! I love hiking in sandals and can’t find anything as barefoot looking as yours. I’m leaving for the Camino Francés again in August and would love to wear something like those you have!

Buen Camino! And thank you for watching Wayne! We hike in Bedrock Sandals and love them. I (Collin) like the “Cairn Evo” model , and Meredith wears the “Cairn 3D” model. Both are awesome-and last about 2000 miles/ 3000km. They have been on many adventures! I have to warn you though, you’ll get a lot of strange looks walking the Camino in sandals 😂 They are not as popular as we expected!
