    Can I use the Type 20 MK2 for mixing in an acoustically treated, small rectangle room size of 235x370x245 (Width x Length x Height), or is this monitor too big? This question is not about physical space, as I know they will fit, with a distance of roughly 120cm apart. It's a question of accurate sound, as I see a lot of conflicting advice about big speakers in small rooms. Thanks.

      Hey Matt,
      The Type 20 can be used as a near or mid field monitor. That´s why a lot of our customers actually use our Type 20 in small studios (like yours). 120 cm is totally fine one just shouldn´t go below 100 cm or the stereo image gets lost. As usual equilateral triangle if possible and tweeter on ear level pointing towards the back of you head.

      Thank you so much for your response! I have one last question, then - Is it feasible to use one in mono, until a second monitor is affordable?
      I understand the answer to be ‘yes’ for the type 30, but I’m only interested in the 20s. Thanks.

      @@Matt_Morgan You can choose installment payment (Klarna) when purchasing our speakers through our website. Buying just 1 Type 20 is not advisable.

    one of my HEDD 07MK's status LED suddenly appear in "dimmed green light" with no sound.
    This status doesn't explained in the user manual.

    Dear HEDD, some audiophiles such as myself are starting to become interested in active 3-way pro monitors to replace our passive speakers and amplifiers. I hear great things about the HEDD 20 Mk 2. Are you able to upload some audiophile quality music playbacks of them on to youtube to help speed up our buying decision?

    What about using hedd in linear mode and in addition sonarworks to correct room issues. Might be possible but what about the latency?

    • @HEDDAudioGmbH
      @HEDDAudioGmbH  Před 2 lety +2

      Hey,
      when using the lineariser with sonarworks one has to compare between sonarwork Room correction on + lineariser on and room correction off + lineariser on.
      The audio coming out of the speaker is completly phase aligned (with lineariser ON) so sonarworks has to "correct" way less (in theory just the room). However we don´t know how the program does it´s phase correction so we are in no position to say if it actually improves the sound image in the end or not (only talking about when the lineariser is on).
      There is no right or wrong in that case one simply has to do A/B comparison and decide which one sounds more accurate.
      The latency our Lineariser causes in our satellites is less than 30 ms.
      When using a sub this latency can increase up to 50 ms (at about 20 Hz).

      @@HEDDAudioGmbH Thanks for the reply. Gestern kamen meine neuen 07 mk2 an und der erste Eindruck haut mich echt aus den Socken. Die Oberfläche des Korpus für sich genommen ist schon wirklich sehr gut. Der Klang wow. Ich hab ein kleines Studio 16m2 und das Loend ist massiv. Kann auch mit Lineariser keine störende Latenz wahrnehmen. Ich glaube die Hedd und ich können gute Freunde werden. Auch schön das man die Box offen und geschlossen betreiben kann. Tolles Produkt. Danke dafür.

      Have you checked the XLR cables? Maybe one of the wires is broken which would result in an unsymmetric signal. Thus you‘d lose 6dB.
