    I bought a pair of sc203s when I had no space at all, I moved, added a sub and ... they are just amazing! Of course there's limitation concerning the volume, but in the building I'm working in, it's there anyway. Thumbs up to Eve!

    Good job and I'm glad you have made an improvement to your environment. They wouldn't help me as my skill and room acoustics are the weakest links and not the lp6s. 😁

    great review, was intending to get the lp6 wave2 myself like pretty much everybody else. while for that budget level price adam are now selling the t7v which of course has a ribbon tweeter. but the rear bass port on the back kindda superficially looks a bit inferior i have to say? at least in its shape. but then again what would happen if you decided to cut out a larger rectangular hole in the back and redo the bass port IDK. probably inadvisable and still wouldnt be as good as the bass port on the lp6s. but there you go. however those eve audio seem like a pretty great choice and still very competitively priced. really amazing value for what you get i can only agree wholeheatedly

    I have two pairs of the SC208s and have owned the A7X. They're definitely warmer speakers with less emphasised treble, which I prefer. They still delivered the same level of detail retrieval in the highs but were much more tight in the low-end, even close to a wall (front ports don't really solve for boundary gain). The DSP and superior build quality also help. Frankly, I don't see too many folks opting for A7X if they know these Eve's exist and bothered to try them.

      @adamsteelproducer  Před rokem +1

      The T7V demonstrably doesn’t perform better, it’s the cheaper speaker for a reason. Maybe you were having issues with your room acoustics if that was your case, also did you know the top end and low are adjustable on all these models if that’s somehow an issue?

    Do the SC207’s have the post mount on the bottom to mount them to microphone stands like the 205’s?

    • @adamsteelproducer
      @adamsteelproducer  Před rokem +1

      I don’t think they do, they’re getting a little big for stand mounting at that size

  • @AMusicalPsychosis

    Do they come w the spike mounts? Or is it something you added aftermarket? If aftermarket do you have a link?

    • @adamsteelproducer
      @adamsteelproducer  Před 2 lety +1

      The spike mounts I got off eBay, they’re not speaker specific but we’re the best solution for my specific wooden console top

      @@adamsteelproducer Thanks. Are they just adhesive? Do you not think the rubber feet it comes with provide enough decoupling?

    • @adamsteelproducer
      @adamsteelproducer  Před 2 lety +1

      Yeah just adhesive! In my rather unusual case, the top panel of my console can be very reverberant so I need the contact to be absolutely minimal. I’m sure it’s fine for most people

    Eve Audio all the way! I also use the SC207s and I love 'em.

  • @uselessoldman7964
    @uselessoldman7964 Před 2 lety +1

    You might prefer them I do not and nor do I think they are as good as the Adams T7V which whilst cheaper than the Adams A7X model they also come with a ribbon tweeter and cost me over £300 less than the Eve Audio SC207 monitors they also come with a full 5 year warranty. Down side there only offer half the volume but 70 RMS total watts each side is plenty enough for the room I use them in and anything over that would be overkill, thats why I also have power amps/valve amps and Marshall Stacks when I want to blow my ears to bits. When I bought my monitors I tested every pair I could get my hands on throwing all the music I mix and like and nothing came close to the Adams T7V for the price and the difference compared to more expensive monitors was certainly noticeable but there was no way I could justify the extra cost that made sense.

  • @tradehut2782
    @tradehut2782 Před 2 lety

    So much shilling. I've used the eve monitors for 3 years. They sound great but they do flatter the mix,make it sound finished when it's not.
    They are not a mixing monitor,but for creators who need inspiration.

    • @adamsteelproducer
      @adamsteelproducer  Před 2 lety +4

      Couldn’t disagree more. Firstly I’m not being paid. At all. I already had great monitors and have had other brands send me great monitors which I tried and sent back because they didn’t beat my old ones.
      If this was a paid video, you’d know about it because I’d say so. And if you think they flatter the mix, I think your assessment is way off…

    • @Hankblue
      @Hankblue Před 2 lety +2

      How do they make it sound finished? I find this a really strange concept, if you're a mixer you know there isn't just one way for any mix to sound finished. There are no magic speakers on which all professional mixes will sound good, but all unfinished ones won't. If your speaker has a flat frequency response, clean spectral decay, low distortion and flat phase response, it's a great tool for mixing period.

      @@adamsteelproducer Just bought the SC208. I have the feeling that they have too much bass for my, treated, room even with the bass all turned down. But comparing them to the SC207 in the shop I liked the overall quality of the SC208 much more. Have you got an opinion about having more bass coming directly of the speaker like my setup or like yours the SC207 with a subwoofer? Moreover.......Trade Hut's comment was understandable. But Adam remains honest. His latest video dated 18march2023 still has the SC207's on his desk. We just need to have trust in the goodness of people. Great one!!!
