    I have the same bike and the same colour. My speedo also fogs up intermittently. I've had the bike a couple weeks but so far it's my only issue that's noticeable. I've also flipped my mirrors but needed to buy slightly extended ones as the stock ones were hitting the tank at steering lock. I find the riding position very comfy for my height. I'm about 5'10. On long rides, my ass aches before my back. The stocky seat is pretty comfy if you are not out all day though and it looks too cool to swap out imo.

    Grew up in No. VA and then spent most of my military carer in the Northeast. Moved to the Southwest days after retirement. Just bought a '19 Fat Bob and love it. Especially with the extended riding season.

    I have the 2018 fatbob, I've had 3 replacement speedo's due to condensation, they got that severe i couldn't make out anything on the digital readout, i was told by a dealer that Harley do not claim these to be waterproof, which is unbelievable in this day and age and considering the money they cost. I love the bike, I've had the stage 3 done to it, got the Rinehart slip on muffkers which sound great but i an looking at getting the D&D fast cat 2-1. The only thing that really bugs me about the bike is the size of the tank, why they didn't leave the 5 gallon tank in baffles me, but you are right, by the time you need a break from riding it it'll be time to fill up. I had trouble when i first boggy the bike staying at speeds above 75moh while on the motorway site to the wind hitting my chest, it was very uncomfortable to ride so i sent off for a Dougz mini spartan fairing from the US, it makes a huge amount of difference. Its a fantastic bike, especially around the twisties, i run Avon cobra chrome tyres and they are amazing both in the wet and dry.

      Yeah, it's a trip of a bike, but it's definitely got its down sides. And the speedo is just a HD problem and not the FatBob specifically. Idk why HD hasn't fixed, since it's been an issue for years. Sounds like you did a lot of sick mods on yours though! Would love to see it sometime!

    Nice video dude, I've exactly the same bike and the same problems, most of them solved, excepting for the mirrors and the gaudget. I kept the mirrors in the same position for safety reasons, have to say that after some time i used to with them. Regarding gaudget, still have the problem. One more thing that i hated in my bike, the tires. I replaced the stock tires for Metzeler cruisers and the biker is much better.

    Haha the bright contrasted upswept mufflers are a perfect fit to my eye but there's no faulting the sound of the rineharts, the best actually IMO. My only real gripe with this bike is that HD's pricey cruise control should come standard on all harleys, tourer or not; looks like they know it too cos they've put it on the Sportster S.

    • @TheMrEdmonds
      @TheMrEdmonds  Před 2 lety

      Honestly I never rode dirt bikes. But I have ridden small Motorcycles. The fat bob handles pretty well considering the weight and tire size. Low speed is where all of that is noticeable. But even then it has a fairly low center of gravity so it doesn't tend to tip over compared to touring Motorcycles with large fairings and saddle bags.

    • @TheMrEdmonds
      @TheMrEdmonds  Před 2 lety +1

      I wouldn't recommend it. It's possible to do, but can be an added danger. I suggest anything 600cc or lower as a first (especially without any riding experience). I started on a Yamaha Virago 535. It was a beat up old bike that I could drop and not worry about.

    With harley having abandoning us in India the entire Indian harley community is facing severe problems including my fatbob. It fogs up even on a sunny day...the solution given to me by my chapter is "keep it in the sun and also use the hair dryer, and the fog will vanish". Warranty and extended warranty actually holds no value in India, as such business' is meant to cheat the customers. So i couldnt get a replacement till date. but then for their sun & dryer advice, i must say How intelligently dumb of them. even on paying them $17,000 i get a foggy bike. Sick.
