Fantastic breakdown! 😍A thought - what if Liara talking to Geth was simply a biproduct of the Synthesis ending in ME3? A geth's existence says "No" to the destruction ending. The Ryders were out of our galaxy for the end of ME3 so they wouldn't have been affected for that game.

The Geth have always been able to talk,no? Like in the archive footage, talking with their creators, asking what they had done wrong etc.

They have the possibility to talk in English (or rather the local translated language), but the mechanical Geth noises is a different thing I was addressing. And thank you!

Well, if this thing can't function as a pair of relays, it could be either a very big gun (potentially able to destroy planets or at least reaper-like creatures and Citadel sized hostile space-stations) or an Asimov style "jumpship" (one that reduces it's own mass, effortlessly de/acceletares itself by more traditional means and then restores it's own mass).

It sounds, to me, like the poster implied the Council was FOR AI. Sentience implies not just organic.
It looks like all creator content on CZcams has forgotten that Mass Effect Andromeda is in the lore of the game it was six hundred years at the future of the end of Mass Effect 3 until BioWare create the Missing Link between Mass Effect 3 and Andromeda it's hard to speculate.
For those who aren't following my thoughts, I will explain... How a Store or Technology will be accessed only for 4 years at the end of Mass Effect 3 if this technology and Store only exist in the lore of the game six hundred years in the future? I hope BioWare will explain this, for me the fusion of Mass Effect 3 and Andromeda it's important for I to be able to drive deep in the immersion of Mass Effect 4.

Tho my personal (baseless) take, instead of it being about artificial vs organic, I wonder if it's going to be about isolationism instead. Like the Milky way was driven to the brink of extinction, with massive lose of life, industry, and general progress, not wanting to open up Pandora's box to the unknown would make sense.
plus if i'm right and it's a type of mass relay to andromeda than opening up a doorway to another galaxy would be a hall of a box to open.
That's actually a cool take, I like it! Humanity has always been the odd child out of all the Council races so your thoughts definitely make sense, and the other races also may not be at all willing to work with others (Hell, Batarians got ruined so badly I don't think they'd ever trust others)
Well done. It's plausible that Liara has a SAM implant. We know she communicated directly with Alec Ryder. If she was, in fact, also the unnamed financial backer for Jien Garson and the Andromeda Intiative, she may have found a way to get her hands on her own SAM implant. Alec could have made an extra when he was making the implants for the asari Pathfinder. Or those plans could have been copied and sent to Liara for her to make her own.
It also could be that Synthesis has been designated as the canon ME3 ending, likely eliminating the need for Liara to need a translator to speak to the geth. It is ALSO possible that the dialogue of whoever Liara's talking to merely sounds like geth speech as a matter of encryption, and we're hearing the audio before the decryption is complete.
Theorizing is fun.

If Liara has any research that Alec had on AI, it most certainly would not have been obtained through Alec. The whole point of his research, as seen in his memories, to "Give Earth an edge." He even stated that other races, including the Asari were centuries ahead of Humanity. Giving Liara his research into AI would go against his very nature.
Personally, I hope the next Mass Effect game doesn't fall into the self-serving 'hero worship' of Humanity that some of the previous games did. Take the Citadel for example. How is it really the seat of galactic power when Humanity practically owns it now? One of the advantages the Citadel had in the original games was that it was located in a neutral space that no one species controlled. But as the Special Edition of Mass Effect 3 has shown, the Citadel is in Earth orbit with a beam that literally links it to the planet. Kind of hard to picture the council raising a fuss about Humanity when they have to work at the heart of their solar system.

I don't know if all Mass Effect 3 playthroughs get Shepard's realization that the Asari had prior knowledge of the weapon to fight the Reapers or not. A Shepard sharing that knowledge could really throw a wrench into Asari lording it over everyone else. I can see the humans and turians completing rebelling against the Asari because they were hardest hit. I have to be honest, as soon as I learned that the Asari use pheromones to basically make anyone they come across attracted to them I thought they would enough up being bad guys.
I still wonder if Liara gave birth to 'Shepard's' child. I never once romanced Liara in any playthrough but every ending she does a final 'mind merge' thing and says something about I can do this for you. So either she does that to gain all of Shepard's knowledge to pass on or she wants to make sure Shepard's genetic make up doesn't go to waste.
There is a simple solution for the Geth still being around no matter the ending. If they had gone dormant, completely shutting down/disconnecting from their power source so no electricity is active, the pulse used to destroy the machines would of ignored them.
Maybe Liara did the same as Alec, made a AI just like SAM, she is in black robes in the teaser, like if she is hiding. Maybe council is after her for what she has done or is doing.
Maybe Geth were on the Quarian arc.
They seem to be emphasizing Liaras importants in ME4, i wonder if she will be the main character we play as?

What about Sera and Scott? Lady Insanity what do you think of the Ryder family? there is something off. The visions, the lying ( Alex ), and "Early Adopter" ??? Are they ... CLONES!! Shepard has a clone ( Citadel DLC ), and Liara knows. She may have shared the tech with Alex.
Okay so full disclosure I may have ingested a brownie a little while ago, but hear me out.
So the wording Liara uses is " It always was their most defining characteristic."
Perhaps there is meaning in the "Was"???
So in all the endings to ME 3 we really don't see all that far off into the future, and the old man? For all, we know that could be 1000 years after this new game.
With the devastation of the war, lack of resources, and deployment of the crucible in the Sol system, what if the human race only saved themselves from devastation only to experience an inevitable decline?
What if the reapers essentially succeeded in destroying the human race and the Humans are now scattered across several dozen remaining colony planets all alone and left to their own declines?
I'm not going so far as to suggest that humanity was wiped out in the galaxy, but what if we went from say a 20 billion population species to a 2 billion population species over the span of several hundred years.
What if humanity experienced such a decline that they were no longer deemed relevant in the grand galactic scheme until BAM, a hidden pocket of Cerberus ancestors / possibly kept alive using tech show up through a previously unknown system (Santherium System) They go around using what we are all identifying as the mass relay destroying everyone believing they need to purge the galaxy of the nonhumans and those that go against them.
Thrown in a new species, perhaps an ancient precursor species far advanced that either cooperates or is somehow intertwined with the Cerberus baddies and now matriarch Liara is on the search for our god old pal Shep, or some sort of remnant to unite the humans take on the threat and uncover the mystery. Likely some new AI threat in some capacity, maybe a new species that went through synthesis, and somehow the Geth are involved? I'd imagine the galaxy would be against AI, and that Liara would do everything in her power to show the galaxy a different viewpoint.
As for Andromeda, my theory is that they come back to discover humanity is scattered, and basically either do what they can to assist or act they'd as some sort of anchor for humanity.

(Forgive my english) MR could be as well "Mobile Relay". Correct me if i am wrong, but i think that Milky Way in ME universe is discovered roughly in like 2% while rest 98% remains undiscovered. Now, you don't send ships in a one way trip and hoping for the best. You send ships and secure way to get back if something goes wrong. Now those mobile relays could have for example their own engine capable to send itself back from the system it originally jumped from, but rest of the fleet wouldn't have that, because it could be expensive to build. That is why they are building it, for rest of the fleet and then they jump using stationary relays to well calculated space in unknown regions to survey it.
Another thing is, but it's purely my speculation and my own opinion at this point. I think that if this device could be "calibrated" ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) and send ships to one location in a matter of seconds, what if let's say they try and use it to jump into Andromeda on purpose or not (doesn't matter)... and it will be way ahead arcs, before they will reach to it. It will cause some sort of paradox, but it's logically, since they couldn't build and execute that kind of technology right before reaper invasion in milky way. They took the best possible option during that time, and time was short.
Not sure if it'd be hilarious or not to be butting heads with the Council again especially when presented from this angle but it would certainly be interesting to be directly in their way this time (in terms of being a potential antagonistic force) . Also, nice Vtuber model.

Actually do you remember that Citadell is now on the Earth orbit. So it is possible that someone try to use it as a symbol/tool to influese others into submission. Someone from Earth. Let's be honest after Reapers and Geth, humanity is a biggest problem of the galaxy, look on amount of damage Cerberus did, and BTW they are not destroyed.

I would like for them to bring Shepherd back in the next Mass Effect for at least one more if they're going to get rid of them they can bring him back neutralized the new threat and at the end retires then he and settles down with a romance interest whoever that would be then he comes back and the next game is a non playable character but I would like for them to keep him around
And if the game is made in the far future maybe Liara put him in cryostasis until she's able to bring him back

Personally I don't think so, but since Absolution comes out the next day I wouldn't be surprised if we saw an advert for it. (But Netflix said they'd release something around Dragon Age Day so maybe not)

Some really great points and observations although i'd like to know why, in considering the Citadel poster, you consciously (or subconsciously?) made "Sentient life" mean organic life only? There was nothing to indicate the poster creators only meant organics when stating sentient life. Historically in the ME universe, and the genesis of the need for a "solution" to resolve this problem by the Leviathans, was the enduring conflict between organics and synthetics. The refusal of organics to see synthetics as sentient beings in their own right. The poster made no differentiation...it only said sentient life. You automatically took this to mean...organic life only. Why?
For sure, so in the vid I mentioned the Council’s preexisting bias against AI and its research. Even if a century later I strongly doubt they would pivot in that ideology. It’s cool if the future state of the Council is more progressive, but the presentation of the Council is often neutral or negative, and stuffy politics always gets in the way, so I considered this an organics vs synthetics issue. It’s only my perspective though and would absolutely love to see the Council be more progressive with synthetics, but since the Reapers did what they did… I imagine it’d be hard to overcome that trauma

I see the poster being less cynically propagandist and more on the genuine side if Synthesis is the path since it would reflect a new found understanding and acceptance between Synthetics and Organics. However, if another path was chosen... how to reconcile Geth if Destroy was the choice? Control's long term outcomes is probably the most vague because there's no true resolution to the conflict. If I am honest after the last two games by Bioware I couldn't careless that Bioware is making DA4 and ME. I have zero faith that bioware has the talent to make me excited about their games. The truth is your legacy of past games mean jackshit when you can't produce decent games, if you count Dragon age: Inquisition it was 2014 and many people found this edition of Dragon age lacking, wide as an ocean, deep as a puddle is how many people felt about DA:I is best summed up. I enjoyed DA:I but that was the last time I enjoyed anything bioware produced. i doubt they have the skills to make anything of value now because skills are only as good as your staff and their staff has long since been gutted not just on the high-end positions.
