While this cinematic didn't really give us much of anything new, I am so happy to see the return of the animated mosaic cutscenes! They were sorely missed in Inquisition.
One thing I can't seem to wrap my head around with this depiction of the Evanuris is Elgar'nan getting pushed off to the side. One would imagine that the leader of the gods would get the big central spot, yet it seems almost impossible that the sunburst-like symbol would belong to anyone other than him.
in one of the stories in Tresspasser we have a fight between Elgar'nan and Falon'din they seem to be quite equal in streights so do we interpret him as the most important figure with Mythal because of the Dalish stories?
I wonder if the order has some other perspective/meaning than simple hierarchy, since it's somewhat represented from Fen'harel's point of view. In Solas' banter commenting on Falon'din he *really* doesn't like him lol.
Elgar'nan had relinquished adjudicating to Mythal before, perhaps he did as well on some other matter to Falon'Din. Elgar'nan may still be the most powerful, just not the most clever, or something like that. Or perhaps it's as someone else has said, that the order is not based on a hierarchy.
I have a theory he’s dead, or at least his original state, but that’ll take a while to cover 😅
@@nieldoenn711 So far as we know, Falon'din never actually managed to outmatch Elgar'nan. But then, we clearly don't know very much about the actual history of the Evanuris, to that it very much a possibility. He is also probably the one elven god with the biggest motive for Mythal's murder. She was the one who repeatedly kept him from growing his power.

This trailer seems to officially confirm a well-founded theory that The Golden City is,in fact,a prison for the Evanuris.
But where does that put The Maker,I wonder?I've always suspected that The Maker is not who Chantry claims him to be, and that suspicion always sparked my curiosity. Although Bioware appears to be taking the story towards ,,Elves did it" narrative, I still don't want The Maker to be completely taken out of the equation and just turn out to be an Elven deity or something.
I'm pretty sure bioware won't ever give a final answer to weather the Maker actually exist in some shape or form. Whatever truths will be uncovered in DAD, they will suerly fit with the possibility that a Maker exists. To be fair I prefer that some broad lore questions (like the Maker existance) will never get an answer
@@wariorneverdie . Well, the developers said in the past that the Maker's existence would never be denied or confirmed. And that it would remain as a point of both; belief and disbelief.

I am so looking forward to all the discussion around new lore! It's always been one of my favorite aspects of the series.
I am curious to learn more about the golden/black City. I hope Bioware doesn't go full on 'It was the elven gods all along' but keep some mystery as to whether the Maker is real or not (or simply if there is some truth to the Chantry's version). I'm split between wanting some answers and wanting to keep mysteries unresolved.

I am really eager to see, if the theory of a double blight is true. Because I think that Solas needs the souls of the old gods to tear dodn the vail. Maybe they are even the same as the evanuris who are also seven when you don't count Fen'harel and Mythal.
Also the stuff with the cure is very interesting. Could even dive in on the wereabouts of Alistair's birth. (Nope him and Goldanna are not related at all)
Alistair is the son of Fiona and Marric.
It is said that King Cailenhad drunk a big amound of dragon blood and this got passed down in the line of Therins. So when Fiona got pregnant it cured her from the taint and conceve Alistair. It could be that Alistair as an unborn child was protected by the taint because of his fathers blood.
Also it is found that dragons are resistant to the taint. Just in rare cases dragons can be tainted, though the soul of an old god, becomming an arch demon or through force like Corypheus pet dragon.
We will see how it goes.

Thank you for this diagram - judging from what I see here and what I saw in numerous other drawings I think two upside down elven gods in a mural with the Dreadwolf are Falon'Din and Ghilan'nain. I wonder how many elven "gods" we will be able to meet in a next game. Imagine all the horror these lunatics will unleash on poor people of Thedas.

Falon'Din has been mentioned as being the most arrogant, cocky, and violent of the Evanuris. I believe the dialogue between Solas and Morrigan in the Temple of Mythal discussed this. I would be PUMPED if he was a mid-game Boss.
