Here's a short wrap up of the two things N7 Day brought us - the teaser trailer and the key art.

As soon as I saw the bioware video I knew you'd make a breakdown. I remember watching a lot of your Dragon Age videos back in the day. Great to hear your familiar, warm voice again! Takes me back.
Really encapsulated the style of "Speaking volumes while saying nothing" with this years N7 day
Can I just say, I am LIVING for the sass with which the line "Mass Effect: Andromeda is cannon, nothing will change that." was delivered.

Been so long since I heard your voice. i miss the good ole days when Bioware wasn't.......what it currently is. Anyway I couldn't help but laugh at the snark at the beginning of the video. It perfectly described how I felt about quite a few companies like Bethesda & Creative Assembly. Annoyed & frustrated at the direction things are going, but the moment a piece of meat is thrown my way I sigh heavily & walk on over to see what's going on.
Had to leave it in there 😂 Your last sentence is really spot on. I had zero interest going into N7 Day, but then all of the sudden... okay let's go. There's still a number of devs who love and live for the games they make, I'm not going to fault them for the toxicity of the gaming industry at large

What if Jardaan found a way to travel between galaxies in a matter of days or hours instead of hundreds of years.
This was introduced in ME 1. The catalyst. It took the reapers from dark space or beyond and got them to the citadel rapidly to carry out their usual ambush. The tech is there already.

For the poster, there was a theory on Reddit where the poster resembles Afterlife on Omega, and you can probably see some of the old comrades in this poster because they ARE in the "afterlife" you can maybe see Garrus, and on the far left there is a small shadowy figure with a cap on that looks reminiscent to Joker, and other companions in other areas
At 5:32 of your video is the perfect picture of the "welcome to Andromeda party" as the Tali'Zorah Quarian Ark finely lands six months after the battle for earth

I'm still sticking to my theory (no time dilation needed).
Liara is pretty young during the trilogy (~100) and asari lifespan is over 1000 years. Getting to Andromeda took about 600 years and Liara know and supported the Andromeda initiative.
Developing and building mass relays, setting up an relay highway to Andromeda could have been sarted a few 100 years after the trilogies ending. Traveling faster than the arcs and jumping back and forth via the already set up relays for maintenance, you're getting an established connection/highway right after the end of the envents of ME:A.
Trailers never showed anyone else than Liara from the old cast as she (and Grunt) are the only one still alive and not retired after 600-700 years.

What if...Shepard survided the Destroy ending, got put in stasis to heal and treatment finished a few years or decades later.
So just ME2 again, that would be very bad
He's half machine. He could have his life span extended well beyond that of a normal human. He survived the destroy ending. Also... Think Bioware cannot afford another failure so having Shepard in this game would be a massive win for them.
What if…. they just made a game without Shepard instead of stupid fan-fic tier ideas?

Yes, or if when Liara gave her "gift" to Shepard, she also preserved all of Shepard's consciousness and that's somehow uploaded into a clone body since lore established two ways to get a Shepard body back to us!

-not-joking aside, i do have a love/hate with these teasers, like they're FAR better than getting nothing for the next few years but at least with nothing i can just forget about Mass ENext until there's actually something to talk about.
I'm kind of the same. On one hand it's good to have this kind of ongoing theme of decyphering secrets and the like, and I can definitely spin theories all day. But these games tend to change wildly over the course of production that even saying something will happen may (and most likely will) lead to disappointment, even if we shouldn't have certain expectations cause they're fan theories anyway
If we extrapolate from the clues, we can come up with interesting theories.
First: The end of Mass Effect 3. Humanity will emerge as a major player in the war against the Reapers. The biggest battle takes place in Earth orbit, the citadel is in Earth orbit.
Sheppard was the beacon, the spokesperson for the entire Milky coalition. He was the one who unified the surviving species of the galaxy (whichever ending you choose), even the Reapers' AI saw him. They are at the origin of the Andromeda Initiative which was an "ark of Noah" and thanks to the Ryder will become the dominant species there too.
With the death of Sheppard (whatever the ending chosen), it is symbolically all the sacrifices of Humanity which are highlighted, and the legitimization of its future place in the galaxy.
Second: the teasers. From what we can decipher, Humanity/Alliance seems to be behind the reconstruction of the relays and major new projects. Given their victory over the Reapers, we can assume that they will have control over the council and over the technologies taken from the Reapers. The leap forward will depend on the chosen ending, but it will be important, since the Reapers kept all the knowledge of the harvested people (imagine just the Protheans and the Inussanon ).
Depending on the period chosen for ME 5, we can imagine that humanity dominates more than before in terms of galactic presence, and that the N7 become a bit of guardians of the interests of the Alliance like specters for the council. Or at least part of the N7 (moreover imagine in 200/300 years how many have become N7)
In short, we can imagine a larger Milky coalition zone under the control of the council, especially with the recognized terrestrial colonies such as the Attica Traves and certain terminal worlds.
If we are at least 634 years after the Battle of Earth, we can only imagine on Tutchanka (the krogans reproduce quickly), the Batarians, the geths, the Yarghs, etc....
If Jeff Grubb is correct…we won’t be seeing ME5 until 2029

@@Ladyinsanity no thank you for all your work in the bioware community. I still remember when you basically gave us an audio book reading of the dragon age book about Queen Celene. That ended up being so import to inquisition back story and enriched my experience 10 fold. ALL HAIL lady Ashe

The Scurge must be directly related to the blast at the end of ME3. Blast must have interacted with that rapidly aging sun in the Milky Way galaxy which must have been connected to the black hole in Andromeda. Conrad's PhD dissertation approves.

Don’t worry guys, we have TONS of time to theorize. This game won’t come out till like 2030 and I’m sure all we will get until then is vague teasers that tell us nothing, just like with dragon age
When the first Mass Effect game was released, I was a teenager. I'm afraid when the next installment will be released I will be in a retirement home, or... you know.

I love the design of the N7 character (I realy hope its not Shepard), but i allso expect there to be veary litle shown about this or the next DA game for a while as in reacent years meny dews have learned the hard way that showing too much of a work in progres game can couse people to owerhype themselves and then get angry when a game that only ever existed in their head failed mo materialize
Technically, I don’t think the what if part would work, because at the time that Commander Shepard was taking down, harbinger with the catalyst of the arcs, had just barely been a couple of years out of the Milky Way, and we’re probably still in the ballpark of our galaxy. Worked for over 600 years pushing 700 years so they weren’t very far away from home when the reapers hit.

Admittedly I'm thinking 2019 Balenciaga rather than their recent portfolio, but oh yeah I definitely agree with McQueen. Love Schaparelli but I think their latest pieces are more pronounced/flaired than sleek
Don't even start with the Renegade stuff. Ain't no way in hell modern Bioware is able to create something "mean spirited" in 2023 and beyond.

What an exciting premise. Saving a bunch of idiots who left the Milky Way Galaxy because they got bored. Possible reason for the distress call? They got bored with Andromeda. Just like I did when I played Mass Effect: Andromeda.
If you actually played the damn game, you'd know they left for Andromeda to escape the Reapers.
@@Jarino507 I'd argue that only a handful of people knew the real reason for the Initiative, and most of them are dead by the time the Ryder offspring becomes a Pathfinder. And depending on if that Ryder finds all the logs, everyone who is alive in this game has no idea what the real point of the initiative really is. Ergo, it was mostly made up of idiots and now the idiots are all that remain.

God dammit can't we just ignore Andromeda? it was a terrible game in all aspects and should just be left behind like the garbage it was, tying it to the main games worsens the entire franchise. But then what can I expect from a game company that pretty much have forgotten how to make games >:/

Exactly, even the terrible me3 ending was salvageable. I don't understand why they don't just play it safe and give us a post war version of the Milky way. I think this idea of merging the 2 galaxies or whatever is way too risky, especially considering how incompetent Bioware management is.
How does it even worsen anything, we got like two new races and those synthetic things, nothing scary.
