- We’ve waited literal years for it to come out, but the Flash is finally in theaters. The movie that many people theorized was the key to the rest of the DC Comics Cinematic Universe, DCEU, DCU, whatever you wanna call it, definitely left things in an interesting place. It even gave us a surprise cameo by a former Batman actor, which has people wondering what is next for the Dark Knight…
Spoiler alert: the actor isn’t returning. At least as far as we know based upon what James Gunn has said in interviews and such. But that doesn't mean that it is just a point less twist at the end put there purely for shock value! Neither is the post-credits scene with Aquaman. Those two things might have a lot to do with what is happening in the future. And it all comes down to the multiverse and all those cameos…

Just wanted to say that dark Flash is the incorrect name for that character. That would be the movie interpretation of Savitar.
How about Richard Madden, who was Ikaris in the Eternals movie and is in a new Amazon Prime show with Priyanka Chopra.

No, it was just a joke.
Flash and Batman will be recasted.
They won't admit that Aquaman will be recasted until after Aquaman 2 is released.
Remember that we only think Flash reset everything by going back in time. For all we know that’s still happening he still collapsed the fabric of space and time you can’t just go back once and done all that.
This has only just come to mind after seeing this film last night.
But i think the one mistake we all made was that we thought this was going to be the start of the new universe.
Whereas after watching this and reading a few comments, it's clear to me that Jamss Gunn planned for this to be the end of the previous one and the start of the new one at the same time.
And it's even explained in the movie during the spaghetti scene in which Michael Keaton's Batman shows us that some things will cross over and be unchanged and some other things will stay the same.
which explains why we see Jason Momoa's Aquaman in the post credit scene because that is the next movie in this universe
They need to re cast everyone in my opinion. I’m left wondering, besides clooney, what else is different in this timeline? 🤔
Am I the only one who thinks Clooney could actually make a badass old Bruce? He is a great actor that never got a good chance at playing a dark Batman.

I know we're not supposed to think to deep in these movies but they didn't show who originally killed his Mom. He knew how she died but didn't come back in time to stop that from happening. And why they did that in the first place. His Dad wouldn't have gone through any of that either.
They didn't do that because of reasons....
The theory they hinted at in the film was that a burglar thought the home was empty, panicked when he realized someone was there and killed her. So if his dad never left home then no one would’ve went in because it clearly wouldve been occupied, thus no one killing her or his dad going down for it. So he got rid of the reason his dad ever left without ever having to interact with anyone and possibly further effect the timeline.
@@MrBananaSamich - Even though the Burglar went into the home and did what he did the Flash knew she was killed by a stranger. He could've prevented that from happening. (Either way that Timeline was screwed and everyone was gonna die based on Zod anyway's)
@@TPRES_74 im sorry im not sure i understand what you’re saying. He did stop it from happening, just not by confronting the stranger who killed her. He prevented them from ever even interacting. If i understand, you wanted him to interact with the stranger because we theorize it is actually the reverse flash, but he didn’t know that and still doesnt. Why would he need to interact with that person if he can save her without interacting with anyone and hopefully (obviously we know it doesnt have this effect, but he doesnt) not impact the timeline any more than he has to to save his mom.
@@MrBananaSamich - I'm just theorizing it to much. Some thing's would make to much since and then there wouldn't be a Movie. Plus I'm sure there are plenty of holes throughout the movie i completely missed or went over my head.
No. I don’t think the ending of this movie is the universe which will be the DCU. I think the DCU is a different strand of spaghetti that intersects the DCEU strand at certain points to explain why some characters look the same and certain events still being canon. The entire Justice League should be recasted since they should be the main focus of the DCU.

But I wonder…….Barry found himself in an alternate timeline because his decision to save his mom changed the past and the future creating a whole new Barry.
What if him changing the the tomatoes on the top shelf “rewrote” the current timeline (the DCEU)? Some things changed and some stayed the same, while Barry remembers all of it. Batfleck never existed, etc.
How did the video serve as an alibi? Dad was at home when Nora died anyway so how does the video show he is innocent? Alibi means you can prove you were somewhere else when the murder happened, not that you did errands before going home. Why did Zod ask for Kal-El and even followed him to earth when they had previously killed him and knew he didn’t have the Codex? Zod found Earth the first time when Kal turns on the spaceship, therefore giving away it’s location. How did Zod find Earth this time around without that trigger? Dark Flash pushes Flash out of the speed force, an event that leads to old Barry giving powers to young Barry aka Dark Flash. How was Dark Flash already around when young Barry didn’t even have powers? You could say he traveled from the future back to the past but that means he was already created even before he pushes Flash out of the speed force.
Would have loved to see The Flash movie that was going to happen prior to James Gunn's announcement. Saw it last night, I enjoyed the movie. Imagine how much cooler it could have been if it all meant consequences going forward. Not anymore, just a one off "end of the DCEU" film. Oh well.
My theory is that if they make a Flash sequel (or a Flash film with Wally West as the Flash, in a flashback scene), it could revealed that Barry had to go back in time once more to reverse his father’s release from prison, which he could tell Wally West while training him.
The Clooney cameo while cute, makes no sense. Think about it. He is the second actor to take on Keaton's role as Batman. So...Keaton's Batman and Clooney's are the same Batman!
I think they should recast the role of Barry Allan and stick with the story line from Zach Snyders justice league with the build up of Darkside as the big bad or the anti monitor.
I'm trying to think of good Flash replacements for the James Gunn universe. One that came to mind is Joseph Quinn (Eddie) from Stranger Things. He has a funny sense of humor, can play serious parts that really stand out and most importantly is likeable.

There's no way that George Clooney is going to reprise his role as Batman since he appeared for a few minutes. They might recast him in the next movie just like they did with the Hulk in the MCU

DC has been playing cinematic catch-up since "Superman Returns."
So, there is a Prison in Russia the can hold Kryptonians, and Flash and Batman couldn't figure out just have Kara haul that over? First, go after and destroy the world engine, that saves Earth, speedsters give humans the weapons that were stripped from the battlefield to equalize the fight, then toss the leadership into the prison. Kara then destroys all the ships and tech.
So did michael keatons batman actually die? Or did flash just reset the timeline so all the events with super girl and stuff never happened?
Without Flash or a Supes, Zod eventually wins, but he can't terraform until he finds Kara, so that's one option. But I think Barry saving his mom actually changed events on Krypton too. so resetting it by letting his mom die allows the Keaton Batman to save Gotham and still retire and Zod never recovers the baby pod to get him directions to Earth and his army stays lost. No supes, no beacon on the scout ship either.
Honestly, just want to see more of Sasha Calle as Supergirl.

The constant year in year out changing of characters, having a Batman in this and another completely different Batman that came only months earlier just makes me want to give up with DC. All we get is reboot after reboot after reboot, it's getting very old and very boring!

Michael Keaton added some of the best fan service I have seen. Other than that, this movie sucked and had some of the worse cgi I have ever ever ever seen. I have witnessed better cgi on the CW and Hallmark Christmas specials.
