“She helps revive the speed force with the power of love.” 😂😂😂
Aaawwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! That's beeeeeyooootifoooo!!
It's also terrible writing lmao@@Stanlos
wait! you don't know the Love-Force?😂
@@I_unarcorrect
I started to laugh every time a villain turned out to be "a current member of the cast in disguise".
Not Julian.
For me it's the "permanently erased" part. Reverse Flash was permanently erased like 4 times lol
fr the formula got old by S3 and I think S4 or whenever the mind guy came I stopped watching because once again he was a friend turned villain or whatever
@@OoToxiToxioO yeah I think I stopped watching around season 3 and only watched it again to see the Crisis on Infinite Earths story arc... I had to watch 6 different shows just to follow along. 😑
Needless to say I'm glad I stopped... Also why is the DC animated universe so much better than the Arrowverse?
@@john2g1Because they actually kept careing
I never got past Season 2, but I swear, actor for Harrison Wells needs an award, he carries this entire show on all of his alter ego's shoulders
Good, watch season 3 and then stop
Tom cavanaugh and Grant Gustin are great actors, they really do be hard carrying this show
That and every second of Zoom's screen time in season 2
Also did you just forget about savitar?
You should really stay to watch savitar as he only has like 8 minutes of screen time
you see when you explain the entire series this way it sounds so much better than it actually is when you watch it
He did a great job explaining, however this is still not it. This show started to suck after awhile and watching this series recap you can see why 😒. Tragic cause I am a huge flash fan.
It started to suck after season 3
@@ravisingh5957 you're not wrong. I stuck with it through party of season seven though just because Flash is my favorite superhero. There were moments of fun, but man it was a tough watch most of the time.
Disagree he missed a lot of important moments
@@Slimynews try to fit more than 100 hours in to a less than an actual flash episode. Of course he’s gonna miss many moments but as an recap it’s really good. Alone the work to watch every hour of this tragic mess of a series is completely crazy
Season 1 - masterpiece
Season 2 - masterpiece
Season 3 - starts slipping
Season 4 - finally a villain without speed
Season 5 - what’s going on?
Season 6 - I’m lost I’m lost I’m lost
Season 7 - idk what I’m watching anymore
Season 8 - oh hey look ciscos gone :(
Season 9 - nostalgia carried a few episodes but still had no idea what was going on half the time
S1 and S2 weren't even that good if I am being honest, they were mediocre but people loved them since they were either kids when it came out or they are nostalgic. But compared to the rest of the show they were masterpieces
I enjoyed the show up until The Thinker was the big bad. I could barely stand finishing that arc and it only got a lot worse from there.
Who was the season 5 villain? What was happening during that season
@@SCP-469 season 5 and season 6 are blanks in my mind. I can’t remember half the shit that happens in them and I’ve watched both seasons through. Also you’re a little far away from the laboratory are you not doctor?
@@SCP-469 cicada, the "meta human serial killer" lmao. Prolly the worst big bad imo
Oh my god this has such comedic value though. "Iris shoots Savitar with a gun" "the power of love rescues the speedforce" "they ACCIDENTALLY CREATE A DEITY"
By season 5 I was completely lost. Your recap is great, just shows how insane the show has become
that's just how comic books are. Works a lot better on the page than in a TV show. They honestly should've just ended it after 2 or 3 seasons but the money grab was too strong for them to resist.
@@patrickschmitz4586i mean seasons 1-4 were all good, after that it went to shit
@@patrickschmitz4586 I think they needed 5 seasons 1-4 and then a good finale, (such as crisis but Barry dies like he was supposed to)
"the power of love" - nearly spit out my coffee. Thank you for this summary, I stopped starting season 4 and wondered how it ended but didn't care to watch and I'm glad I didn't.
Honestly same I fp myself very hard when i heard tht
Season 3 and 4 i did not like too much , but i am a fan of season 5 with jessica parker kennedy. 6 to 9 didnt watch it
This exact comment could have been written by me...
Feel you. Stopped watching after S4. Iris Trash completely ruined it and I dont have stomach to more 9f her BS. Plus this summary let me know later season are really not worth it.
To sum it up, of all the superpowers in the universe nothing beats the power of Love 🙄🙄🙄
He is the Paragon of Love
Yes love is the greatest superpower in existence literally. The opposite of love is hatred which is what rf has.. hatred breeds chaos and destruction.
Cool, Harry Potter logic.
As corny as it sounds, love is the reason for all our existence.
Anakin you breaking my heart!!!
Remember how much more lively Central City looked back then? Instead of just yk, the same four locations they use all the time.
i guess thats a covid problem
CW shows tend to slash the budgets the more the show goes on. Smallville had the same problem with reusing the same locations in its later seasons.
Props to this dude reading it all with a straight face. You can tell where each season ends because everytime things are ok. Barry catches cancers from using the force too much on the last fight and something else funny happens like a fish they flushed down years ago was also there at the explosion and it's name is Golden Wave.
I mean you could literally take team flash on a holiday in any May and you could avoid every single one of the following seasons.
Seriously. Season 2, Barry makes a clone to finish the season and then makes season 3 with the clone villain. He then goes into the speed force at the end, they bring him back, and then makes the main focus of season 4 by "infecting" the bus. They destroy the doominator of season 4 which then makes the villain of season 5. I don't remember season 6 and I stopped watching halfway through the mirror stuff but I'm assuming the exact same thing happened the last 4 seasons. It made me feel hopeless that there will ever be an ending. Not sure why they chose that
I feel so bad that this show never recovered after that mid fourth season. It didn't deserve to go down this road 😭
That's when I stopped watching mid season that season
Seasons 1 & 2 were some of the best superhero live action TV out there.
I still love the Pilot episode.
Absolutely 🔥
Honestly this was a god send. I gave up on the flash ages ago but it’s nice to see where the show went in the end
also gave up in season 6
Thank you for saving me some time👍🏾. I was curious about season 9 and how the finale turned out but I didn’t want to commit to watch it all.
Same
Literally and I really wanted to watch the final episode but it’s so mid😭
Good for you but I will say it did require Eric Wallace multiple seasons to muster the brain power to make 2 good episodes😂
@@bigreem276 Episodes 10/11 from season 9 are honestly better than the finale
Season 9 is great for other characters stories.
I like how season 6 is just “team flash does things” and Barry is just kinda there
Honestly this explains the final 3 seasons better than the show itself did
Great recap. I stopped watching at the beginning of the Mirror Dimension story arc. Just couldn't get past how much the writers tried to make Iris much more important than she actually is. When I learned from this video she was able to bring back the Speed Force with the power of love, I genuinely rolled my eyes. This show was amazing at first. Can't believe how terrible it became.
same i stopped watching there too
Oh shit. That's literally where I stopped and I was a diehard fan. And I stopped for literally the exact same reason. Good to know I wasn't the only one 🤦🏽♂️
anyone else notice that at some point the villains would have all of this build up, Barry would fight them and lose one episode, then win the next with relatively no effort. The first half, the villains felt as though they mattered and were there, but later on they served as little more than slightly inconvenient road blocks that were ultimately easy to beat.
Season 1: Okay, this seem pretty solid
Season 2: Oh yeah, this is getting exciting
Season 3: Still solid, straying a bit, but solid
Season 4: Okay, new direction, seems promising
Season 5: Uh, okay. Seems interesting?
Season 6: Starting to get lost on what the original premise was supposed to be
Season 7: What????
Season 8: What???? x2 + no more Cisco :/
Season 9: Oh good its over, my brain hurts
this is asccurate . I stopped watching with the blackblood angle , to stupid for me. First 5 Seasons are solid for me . Even with arrow decrease in quality , people watched the last season with hopes , the flash could not do that
for me 2 seasons was enough
Bro S1 was a masterpiece
Agreed, but I think season 1 should get a bit more praise. Season 3 I would say the same but I genuinely didn't understand the timeline story until years later and 3 rewatches. Might be because I'm dumb but it was unfairly confusing. Savitar was cool regardless
I was a fan since this show started, I was only able to tolerate all this until season 4 and half of season 5 so THANK YOU FOR THIS.
want to die of Alcohol poisoning? Do a drinking game where you take a shot every time the reverse flash somehow comes back or the day is saved by the “power of love”😂
How did he not breakdown laughing even once. Like. This is genuinely impressive.
Unbelievable that the entire show could be summarised in a video the same length of one episode
Reversed Flash was permanently banished 1 million times!
It started getting contrived and ridiculous 😂
Even the actors stopped acting.
Reverse Flash was the real main character lol
I really appreciate how you didn’t inject a bunch of negativity or opinion into it, just a straightforward recap
For as bad as this show got the first season is still great and Grant is a great Barry.
"...and is once again erased from existence".
This is great i just have to correct something the Jay Garrick that was captured by Zoom wasnt from earth 2 but Earth 3
Also, someone had to fill the speedforce prison. Not just to pay for time travel crimes.
I can't help but notice you left out the female villain with rainbow powers that wanted to cure poverty by throwing gold bricks out of a blimp onto a stadium full of people.
I promise I'm not making this up.
I did notice Joe quit the police force in 2020?… wonder if that’s a coincidence
Wasn't there also the knockoff joker and his jokermama that didn't have superpowers but still had several episodes
@@EaterOfGeese the trickster?
bruh she forgot inflation exists
"They had us in the first half, not gonna lie" the show
29:32 I died laughing. The power of 'love' seriously?
really like the savatar design. it's a nice change from flash recolor, plus the concept of a jurggenaut running super fast is terrifying
savitar is my personal favorite villain tbh. great plot and story line but the flash plot armor was wild
Thanks I was looking for a video like this the day after the series finale
after a while i noticed the formula, it kinda killed it for me. i asked my brother if season 8 (that was the next season coming to netflix at the time) had any of the formula in it and he laughed, saying it happens twice. once in the first 5 episodes and then again throughout the season. it goes like this:
barry will lose his powers, regains them, learns a new thing he can do, a beloved character will die, a much less deserving character will survive, iris will have something wrong with her, someone goes into a coma, a friend becomes a foe, a foe becomes a friend, time travel shenanigans, barry will not know what's going on for much of the season (even if it's obvious to everyone), everyone levels up.
it's not in any particular order, but every one of those things happen in every season, twice in seasons 8 & 9.
idk why the last season wasnt just all about cobalt blue and the other speedsters
New drinking game:
Take a shot every time a new speedster shows up who is faster than Barry.
Take a shot every time a new Harrison Wells shows up.
Take a shot every time they time travel.
Take a shot every time they say “Run, Barry, Run.”
Take a shot every time Barry could have saved someone but didn’t.
take a shot when Team Flash says, "Level up!"
I heard that music. Tuutuuru Tuutuu Tuutuuru Tuutuu Tuutu, and then que Smash Bross music
Might I suggest Madvocates Flash recaps?
Take a shot every time Barry says " I dint know if I'm fast enough" or "I need to get faster"
The whole list would fry your liver, the last one will kill you in a single season that happens twice an episode 😂
Many brain cells died while watching this recap
Thank you for this.
I've watched the first 5 seasons like, 5 times and always start getting tired of it, but still wanted to know what was going on, but couldn't bring myself to do it again XD
I always wondered what happened after I stopped watching. The show was my favorite thing to watch after high school. Waiting every week staring at the CW refresh feed then reacting it and reviewing it with my friends during high school class. But after watching this, ngl, I wish I still wondered lmao. Great video btw.
Flawed as it was i loved the Flash and Grant Gustin's portrayal of Barry. Still it's a shame that the show went down the road where i didnt know what the hell was going on lol
Season 2 was peak Flash. I still remember the Jay Garrick reveal
I loved this show, but got burnt out on it but mid seventh season. So... recap it is!
Thanks for the video!!
I don't know how you did this recap while staying serious. I nearly died after hearing "the power of love" because that's what the show really was after season 3
Lol the power of love 😂
8:00 slight correction zoom catches the jay garrick from earth-3 he was not from earth-2
Fantastic recap!
Thank you!! Great video 👍
definitely sounds a lot better in a recap, but damn things really did go downhill from season 4 onwards, to be more specific the writers seemed to write themselves into a corner that only the power of love of frienship could pull them out from lol, but honestly the flash is one of the hardest heroes to write stories for, the fact they were able to go 4 seasons with top tier writing and 5 seasons with a range of meh to pretty good writing is a feat imo
Thanks alot for this recap
you are truly amazing. outstanding work!!
I gave up on Flash sometime after Nora first arrived, so I appreciate the recap. At least I know what happened
Best Soap Opera ever!
Thanks for the review.
Season 1 was great! I rewatch it alot!
Kudos for pushing through this.
Despite this being a really good recap, it shows how disjointed so many of these arc are, how often the solution is overly simple after a whole season of trial and error and new (and sometimes old) characters never appear again without consequence.
Barry, both as a character and a superhero, hardly evolved in the show just for the sake of otherwise becoming too overpowered, too experienced, kept repeating the same mistakes...
Crisis made an even bigger mess of all the DCTV shows, and while it served a purpose in the comics, it was just something that happened in the shows - the consequences often being contradicting or just being there for an episode of two, but often the results being completely ignored moving forward (same with lots of Barry's time travel, that only served for a few episodes of drama or when the writers remembered it to be a thing). Why they made a point in the crossover Crisis to have all DC heroes end up on one Earth when they then obviously didn't have the budget or logistic means to actually use it, is a mystery to me (just so they could use and market a famous comic book event?); Crisis was pointless and inconsequential aside from the narrative plotholes it left [in DCSG it resulted in essentially nullifying the first 4-5 seasons; e.g. a flashback added on that Prime-Earth Kara had been using her powers (incl. flying) as a teen, so the very pilot should have happened differently and she had a bf who knew about her powers then which would also have changed many many of the character driven plot points about both her romantic life and double-identity issues in the earlier seasons]. Even in the Flash there were some later throwbacks to earlier season that should not have happened, several characters should not have remembered them, either due to Barry's time-travel changes or Crisis, while other times it was used as a handwash short-route to explain "well, it must have happened in the new past". Because of Crisis aliens did exist alongside meta--humans from the start. And, oh, don't get me started on all the arbitrary ways they kept bringing the Reverse Flash back, when he previously was supposedly defeated for good...
...somehow I watched the whole series, so despite all my complaints it was entertaining. But oftentimes it was like watching a car-crash happening in slow motion...
I love how literally nearly every relevant character in the series just develops a random ass power
Tnx brother for the suffering you endured, so i don't have to(stoped watching after season 4), this video is more entertaining then the whole series
I dropped this shit around season 4... Just the phrase "restore the speedforce with the power of love" is making me glad I did it... God damn it CW...
The series was soo painful to finish. Fell off hard but every once in a while we got a bangar reverse flash episode. Eventually it wasnt enough.
on paper it all sounds so good...but reality is often dissapointing
It's like the writers Scooby-Doo decided to write for the flash of DC comics I'm so glad I didn't waste my time watching the whole series
4:32 I thought the black hole was the universe freaking out at Eobard getting deleted despite being critical to the new history.
Thank you for the recap
the show ended in a mid way tbh, i was expecting more bad stuff to happen but everything happened in season 9 ended with the power of love and friendship.
Would love to see all the other tie ins to this series on here.
Dam I keep seeing the flash clips on shorts and I used to keep up with the flash the arrow and supergirl at one point but it was too much to watch so hopefully this can satisfy my knowledge thirst to know what happened
Watching this saved me uncountable hours of my life. Thank you!
3:15 it wasn’t the time travel that sapped Eo’s speed, it was the paradox of changing Barry’s life path so drastically by killing Nora Sr.
Jay Garrick was the flash of earth 3. Which was kind of a plot hole or just something never explained as it implies Zoom/Hunter had a way to travel between worlds prior to the singularity.
The show was so good for three seasons! Then it slowly lost its identity and it felt like the writers gave up and just wanted the show to end, but because the audience was still invested because of the great first three seasons, the show kept getting renewed. Really wish it ended sooner and didn’t drag this long.
glad you understood these seasons
The rainbow of Forces and rainbow of Lantern Corps will forever be peak derp to me
I will ask for an Arrow recap, also maybe supernatural. This makes way easier to relive series that watching it all over again
29:33 power of love . wwwah , what genius
Thanks man you just saved me from wasting my time for 6seasons
Damn. Great recap.
34:14 DEATHSTORM from BLACKEST NIGHT!!!! Awesome reveal!
“She helps revive the speed force with the power of love.” . “She helps revive the speed force with the power of love.” .
I wish each season was this simplified!
"Power of love" lmao 😂
Could you do other recap and chill video for the other two arrowverse shows, please.?
bro explained The Flash in a length of a flash episode
as someone who watched the seasons until season 6 cuz it was trash this really informed me
Cecile was the worst thing to happen on The Flash
Why?? Lol
@@jakemaloney8513 If she wasn't in the show, how would the show change
watching this I realize why I never made it past the second season.
Season 3 is good and 4 isn't negative. I understand 5-9 though. I stopped halfway through season 6 because it got annoying
The power of love solving issues made me laugh out loud lmao!
Some villains from the earlier seasons would have easily be perfect villains for the later or even the final season.
Season 1 reverse flash moments up to zoom's times were the best.
Take a shot every time Reverse Flash gets erased from existence
WITH THE POWER OF LOVE 😂😂
After powering through all the seasons of The Flash, I think I've developed super speed too! I can now finish a season in a flash!
Great break down thanks
I got so much 2nd hand embarrassment from this
for real season 7 and up are INSANE LOOOOL WHATR WAHT WHAT
The last episode I saw was the finale for Season 01. "The universe will always need a Wells" is literally why I watched Flash to begin with haha. The initial "team Flash s01" cast carried this show.
EDIT: 36:15 this "creating a blue-haired evil deity out of the brunette goodie" is literaly stolen from the Angel tv show... Damn what a throwback
This was a pretty good series, I only got to see up to the point were the thinker guy was stopped, and like a season after that because I don't have money. But it was pretty nice watching while I was in college n stuff for a short time.
I was a fan of Flash early on I even managed to get to the Mirrorverse season. I think what hurt the storylines and creativity was really after the Covid hiatus. The show was never able to regain momentum and the storylines became too repetitive. The cast and crew did well while it lasted tho..
Love how absolutely dead inside he sounds when he starts talking about the first Arc of the final season. Why couldn't they find a better actress for Red Death?!
i mean... you couldn't find a valid reason to whine about the show so you went with this
@@BlackbirdRXBut it was genuinely terrible. Almost like you want to infer OP is racists despite the character being awesome in the comics but bad here
@@A.Froster did we watch the same show? cus in the show **I** watched, Red Death was fine. you really cant use the comics as an excuse cus guess what, THAT IS HOW ADAPTATIONS WORK! changing things from the comics to fit the context of the story being told
The acting felt way too over the top and not in a good way. It could work if she was playing a version of BWL and with a better script, but Red Death isn't suppose to be that.
Please do the rest of the Arrowverse. 💕
Lordy those last few seasons... I watched up to, um, the middle of Iris in the mirror?, and still didn't remember stuff I'd seen lol
