My dog and I have a “language” of our own. When she wants something, she just comes in front of me, stares at me in the eyes, and wags her tail. Then I go through a list of words she knows, like “food, water, walkies, busy, pettings” etc. And when she hears the word she wants, she’ll do a little happy dance xD

My dog literally never barks... like once a week. She’s not depressed or anything. She just sits their and smiles and loves playing ball. I also live with 7 other people so she is always with someone (and petted). She just doesn’t bark. Btw she is a poodle mix

Can someone help me with a dog problem? I want my mother's dog to run free and every time she comes back when I call I give her a treat and praise her and I don't put her leash on every time, as she may not want to come back if she knows I will put the leash on. I am afraid my mom a sister don't do this. Even after all this she sometimes won't come back especially if she is in an area she loves or there is another person around. What can I reward her with other than treats and praise or are there any other tactics? I am not the dominant one in the household as it is my mom that lives there so maybe there is a way to make her see me as a more dominant person she needs to respect and not just love?
