My cousin fell through ice on a pond behind my granpas, random stray dog managed to pull her out of the water. Needless to say he found his forever home.
What a terrific story. It seems that lady was surrounded and helped by angels, although that begs the question of why she fell! One of the angels was her pet dog. I hope this happened as told without embellishments. It's so life affirming. She should bring her hero animal and give a TED talk. Kudos too to her rescuers, who listened to the dog, and risked their own safety to save her. This story warms the heart. Humans hurt eachother and animals so much, yet there is another side to us. I hope this lady makes a full recovery. It would also be nice to have a statue and story of her dog in her hometown.
That guy still lived. But yes, very sad he killed the dog he found over there that was his companion. The saddest part is his stomach couldn’t handle the meat and he threw it up anyways obviously meaning he would have survived either way. I can’t fault him in desperate times though. None of us know what we would do in that situation until we’re in it.

Perhaps hikers should wear a pedometer with similar attached. The hiker could press a button that alerted authorities if they needed help, or, if the device sensed danger signs such as long-term lack of movement or a falling pulse rate and body temperature the alarm would activate anyway. If connected to rescue providers they could quickly and accurately locate the person. I hope the brave pooch is in canine paradise.

There was an episode of animal planet/discovery channel show called I Shouldn't Be Alive about this. I remember watching it in 8th grade and telling my classmates about it.
