    Oh yeah, two more to add: The Guess Who. No original members in the touring version of this band. Original drummer Garry Peterson records with the band but does not tour with them (when I saw them earlier this year, Tesla's drummer Troy Luccketta sat in on drums). They have a new album set to be released this summer. Original bass player Jim Kale occasionally records with them, but has not toured with them in a very long time. Also Whitesnake has no original members except for lead singer David Coverdale, whose health is somewhat questionable.

    I'm surprised they didn't mention Toto . They start, then stop and each time they did that, they'd return with new faces in their lineup. Steve Lukather is really the most active original member that's consistently on stage. As for David Paich Toto is still his band but he doesn't tour anymore (make sporadic appearances on stage) and Joe Williams is the 3RD primary singer in the high tenor position who came after original Bobby Kimball and 2nd singer Fergie Fredericksen. Joe Williams is NOT an original member.

    Little River Band is another band that qualifies for this list. They formed in 1975 with Beeb Birtles on guitar and vocals, Grahan Davidge on lead guitar, Graeham Goble on guitar and vocals, Dave Orams on bass, Derek Pellici on drums and Glenn Shorrock on lead vocals. Wayne Nelson joined the band in 1980 on bass and is now the longest tenured member in the band. There hasn't been an original member in the band since 1997.

    • @waltersimmons946
      @waltersimmons946 Před rokem +1

      @Steve Gallo Your information is correct. But Peter Beckett did NOT join LRB to become their lead singer . That never happened. Years before Beckett joined LRB, he was in his own band PLAYER from 1977 to 1982, which made 4 albums and broke up till 1996 . But Beckett was actually writing songs for LRB for years up until he joined in 1990. He joined, replacing a guitarist who had left . I forget the name at this moment, but no, Beckett did NOT become the lead singer. They actually featured him in their concerts when they played "BABY COME BACK." Some of those concerts are on CZcams. But again, Beckett joining LRB did not alter the structure of LRB or who the singers were.

    • @stevegallo8483
      @stevegallo8483 Před rokem

      @@waltersimmons946 Beckett must have joined to replace either Birtles or Goble who were on guitars or possibly lead guitarist Davidge. LRB did go through a number of lineup changes starting in 1980 when Nelson took over on bass. Birtles, Goble and Shorrock did all reunite a few years ago but are prohibited from using the name of the band they founded.

    • @waltersimmons946
      @waltersimmons946 Před rokem

      @Steve Gallo You're mostly likely correct. Beckett joined in 1990 so like I mentioned I couldn't remember his predecessor by name , but that's how Beckett came in. See, his band PLAYER ceased by 1983. So Beckett started writing songs for other artists like the song Olivia Newton John sang on the"TWO OF A KIND " movie. The soundtrack song was called "Twist of fate" that was written by Beckett and he's played that song with his revamped version of PLAYER in the last few years but he doesn't sing it Jawn Starr a guy, the keyboard player in his band sang that song. But Beckett had written songs 🎵 for LRB for years back then, and obviously, they felt his writing and singing plus guitar playing fit their style. Wayne Nelson played bass on Becketts 1991 solo album which called BECKETT it was his first solo album ever. I bought it in early 1992 and it really is very good . If you get the chance go on CZcams and he does a version of "BROTHER LOUIE" which was done years earlier by that group THE STORIES. I believe you'll like it
      Beckett officially left LRB by 1998.
