I am genuinely so excited to spend a good portion of my life exploring Starfield and creating a ship that feels like home. The ship building is in my opinion what this genre has truly been missing.

There are a bunch of letdowns from recent reveals, but I'm still pretty stoked about this one.

@@yupperdude1 I guess I'm mostly disappointed about the small things, some of which I mentioned in this video about piloting through atmosphere and doing your own docking.
But also having no land vehicles or mechs to explore with let me down a bit as well. Custom building a land vehicle would have been such a great time.
@@Michael_BryanI understand why people are upset about no land vehicles but I honestly quite like that there are none, land vehicles in No mans sky were virtually useless and never used, and it takes the fun out of exploring the planet. But on the bright side there’ll always be mods for vehicles.
I think the system for building is so much better because it's not strictly aesthetic. You can tank up your ship or make it look nice 😂
Definitely! Also with the different manufacturers I'm sure there will be really cool aesthetics depending on what manufacturer you prefer

Dude, you’re enthusiasm alone made me preorder. I get intimidated by games that seem complex in their systems but I’m really excited to explore and learn and play this one

I'm wondering how far modders are going to take it. I reckon downloading prebuilt classic ships is definitely going to be a thing.

This looks like everything I want Star Citizen to be. Which is to say I guess Star Citizen isn't for me, but when I was playing it I had a bunch of stuff I wanted it to be and Starfield covers most of it.
I see that, I just wish I could play Starfield with a couple buddies in co-op
Apparently not only can you not manual land, but there is no flying at all while in a planetary atmosphere. Without a cut scene I mean. I'm just really hoping that there are land based vehicles that can be stowed on our ships. Base game, DLC, Mod....whatever. Maybe a mod will give us the ability to manual land and fly around the planets/moons etc....
Unfortunately there are no land vehicles in base game. We get the jetpack but that's it. I reckon modders will probably make land vehicles happen. Or maybe a dlc
Most players will probably play this game as law abiding citizens. I heard that 3.14% of players will be space Pi rates.

I wouldn’t put it past Bethesda to make a DLC where you can make your own capital ship. Just a mobile home base that can be attacked at random intervals.
Yeah that can hopefully house your fleet so you can view them all at the same time. I would also hope that any DLC comes with a really good story reason for the addition
@@Michael_Bryan indeed. Plus I’m sure modded will figure out amazing ways to do things. Like making 1 man fighters and carriers for them. The games going to have a really long play life like Skyrim and Fallout 4 thanks to the modding scene.
@@clintcook8691 100%. The only thing that has me a bit nervous (and only because I have no idea how it'll work/how it's worked in the past) is paid mods are going to be a thing in this
@@Michael_Bryan I’m sure paid mods will be a thing at some point though the free mods will be much more prominent.
This is the first game I'm actually looking forward to for mods, I really hope that just like Skyrim New Beginning mod(the one where you start in prison but with a statue of Mara in it allowing you to skip the vanilla starts. I hope someone makes the same for Starfield
Oh that'll definitely be a "within the first month" mod I reckon. Love a good Bethesda opening, but they do get real tedious on replays.
Based and Oblivionpilled. But yeah, making your own ship is definitely gonna be the best part, if its anything like the system they had with the base building in Fallout 4.
Oblivionpilled 😂 Todd had me the moment I left that sewer. Another thing I'm interested in are the populated areas. There was a very brief shot of a city and it looked densely populated. One of my gripes with games for a long time has been how un-lived in they can feel. Looks like they might have done a good job with making the cities in this feel alive.
Can't wait for the mod that lets us build inside cities. I'm gonna block doorways like it's Minecraft up in this bitch and I'm stealing the best house in the village.

To be fair, that's statement is just from everything that I've been able to find on the subject. There isn't a direct Bethesda statement. So it's should be taken more as speculation than fact. I really hope I'm wrong.

Just about everywhere I look it says highly unlikely. I'd be very happy to be wrong so I can bust out the HOSAS at some point. but it kind of makes sense.

Incredibly buggy at release?? Read reviews so far. Very little if any bugs. Just cause other games had bugs, doesn’t mean all will be filled with em. Jeez.
Dude, it was a joke as a diehard fan of Bethesda games and having grown up with them. No need to take it to heart.
Basing on facts of the people that are REALLY playing says that the bugs are very rare, with no impact on the gameplay. So, you now can educate yourself in that topic. Thank you.

@@Michael_Bryan Sorry, my bad. Just I'm so tired to listen people claiming before get the game on hands that it will surely be bugged as hell. I played all Bethesda games before (except F76) and not even once have a game-breaking bug... just a few funny ones in all TES or Fallout sagas... so, when people talks about bugs are forgetting that first of all, your software in your PC is mounted on hardware. So, if you have a shitty PC, its obvious that you will have shitty performance (like people complaining with Cyberpunk 2077). Secondly, your version of your OS, the patches applied, the controller of all your hardware, can mess with the performance in ways you couldn't imagine. Can you see why my respinse was hostile? Sorry for that though, you are just being one more off the hole bunch of people saying the same stuff of how this inceedible game will be full of bugs. I hope, when you play it, if there aren't a lots of bugs, you upload a video saying that you where wrong.

I spent the vast majority of the video really hyping how excited I am for the game and how much I'm going to love it. As well as mentioning that I've been a Bethesda fan since the launch of Oblivion. So the bug remark was meant as a joke for my fellow Bethesda fans in this community that have loved this company for as long and longer than I have.

Space Engineers. just saying. there is literally nothing new in this game. its just Bethesda doing all the best parts at the same time.
I tried space engineers but just couldn't get past the walls of text to play the game. A personal thing for sure, because I have a lot of friends that really enjoy that game.
I think what Bethesda is doing well here, is taking the best from all the games in the genre, polishing them for 2023 and hopefully telling an amazing story at the same time.
@@Michael_Bryan agreed. all the best space sims do a great job with certain things, but fail at everything else. and none of them have a great story, except X4.
