The fact that Chris Jericho has the honor to meet THE TRUE GEORDIE is crazy to međđ
All Jokes aside, super proud to watch the progression Geordie. Leveling up all the time
Yeah I remember the good ol' FIFA days when he was raging. Shame he's taken that content down lol
Itâs so crazy how far Geordie has come⊠he has podcast with the biggest people in almost every sport
he aint the biggest in the sport lol
Started with a dream just slagging off joe kinnear, pardew and Ashley with an iPhone on an ironing board. Look at him now
Real: There was a time, and still is, where Chris Jericho was an absolute superstar. Stop being pedantic, you peenarse.
Calibre of guests is A list
@@Real-wr4tw Jericho? Heâs an icon of the wrestling business
Ok Brian. I'm officially jealous lol, first Undertaker, Shawn Michael's and now Jericho. If you get Stone Cold Steve Austin then that's a different level.
Man, imagine Stone Cold throwing around beer cans and shouting "GIVE ME A HELL YEAH". đ€Ł
Austin would do it aswell he is open to do interviews he did one with pat macfee not long ago aswell.
Triple H
Roman is bigger than all of them combined. And thatâs why Iâll never come on this podcast
Just IMAGINE if he got Hornswaggle.
This. Is. Mental.
Fair play lads, great to see how far the podcast has come. Congrats.
The way Jericho would steer the conversation back towards him when Geordie would ask questions that pertained to other wrestlers and their controversies was amazing. Itâs really respectful of anybody who knows the purpose of the podcast and tries to help give to the podcast, even if it is just because itâs to personal to discuss in Jericho eyes. Much respect to him đđ»
Geordie acts like he works for the sun or some other trash rags.
Hes like a gossiping housewife.
Jericho saw straight through it
Could be that plus he's a narcissist. He's talented and has had a great career but the past few years he has really been tarnishing his legacy. Still great podcast and interview
But it did appear to come from a place of respect for sure; he's just made it difficult to like him lately
@@InsShogunGage he also has this tendency on his podcast. love him as a talent but soo many red flags lol
@@InsShogunGage the guys giving great advice and telling good stores and his career hasnât gone down hill Jerichos one of the greatest
It's mental the first Video i saw was Gerodie ranting over Newcastle losing to Sunderland 3-0 and here we are Interviewing Y2J Chris Jericho it's fucking insane đđđđ
What about QPR 2 Newcastle 1
Up to now, Chris has had the most attitude of all the interviewed wrestlers - heâs a funny guy, and clearly speaks his mind
Great podcast. Chris is a tough cookie to interview as for any "deep" questioning he always gives a "man up and deal with it" response so you both done well to keep it flowing and get some great information from him!
It's also because he has his own podcast and speaks about those things very often.
I thought it looked difficult too. The Shaun Michael's flowed nicely and seemed way more friendly to interview.
Geordie's pull is fucking crazy. such an insane range of guests on the pod over the years and I would of never of expected Jericho that's crazy. You guys are killing the game fam.
I've loved the ones with Taker and Shawn but they're never as good as when it's face-to-face like this one - so excited to watch!!!
Chris Jericho is one of the greatest minds in the history of this business. This man could get any gimmick over. Phenomenal performer in ring and psychology wise. Any aspiring wrestlers, like myself, ensure you study this man, and watch his stuff, so many gems in his matches and segments.
Good luck on ur career bro
@@ballisticbanana1481 appreciate it bro đđŸ
You really should read his books too, eye opening and very useful. Taught me a lot that I still remember unironically.
Great interview. Jericho is so confident and just doesn't try to overly praise or kiss ass. Great to see. Best True Geordie wrestling interview so far. Kevin Nash would be a great interview too.
I have been watching and admiring Chris Jericho for the last 20 years, I have been watching and admiring Geordie for the last 8 years! Never in my wildest dreams would I've predicted that the two would ever be sitting at the same table! MASSIVE respect to Geordie, the guests for the podcast the last few months have been nothing but sensational!
Heâs very aware and seems to be very honest and has no delusions about his position
Jericho has a genuine shout at being on the Mount Rushmore of wrestlers. Technical ability, charisma, microphone/promo skills, longevity, evolving moveset, brilliant as a face or heel...
mount Rushmore? Jericho?? đđđđ you must be the ultimate MARK
Heâs the GOAT
@@MattyisaG an actual goat. Jericho most over rated and the only bigger mark than him is his fans.
@@maur_sault750 He's a shout of being on there, for the reasons I listed. I never said he was on mine. For example, Hogan would probably have to go on Mount Rushmore but there are many ways in which Jericho is superior to Hogan. In terms of 'overall' ranking, it would have to look something like Hogan, Flair, Austin, Savage - Mine would change depending on when you asked me, but Jericho would be on, say, a 15-man shortlist.
@@rickredmanwallart1766 I wouldn't even have in my top 50. The guy after how many years in wrestling is still sloppy as hell in the ring. His gimmick changes that are so heralded are just cheap comedy acts. He lives of the fact he was friends with Eddie, Chris and won the title even though it was dropped pretty quick after. As Vince McMahon famously said to undertaker 'you know when the business is going down when Jericho's champion' đđđ
Really enjoyable listen, and the fact that it was in the same room had a lovely feel to it. Such a relaxed conversation between 3 people that gave the feel that theyâve known each other for years, the way a proper podcast should be
This easily couldâve been a 2.5 hour pod! Absolutely loved it
Just wanted to say that you (& the TG team) are literally bringing out childhood dreams to life by interviewing these OG-level wrestlers. I have to say that The Undertaker & Shawn Michaels podcasts had alot more of "formalised" presentation (understandable as it was over video) but THIS was just another level đ
The way Chris spoke and the topics you'll cover were excellent and fair credit to Brian and Laurence in being such comfortable hosts and creating the environment for Chris to speak to well & openly..
Brilliant work to the entire team!! â€ïžđ
Killing it with these wrestling podcasts! Would love to see Jim Ross on one of these
JR would be awesome
The stories that man would have would be incredible
@@jackrobinson6602 This ratio is incredible
Jim would probably think he's too good for it, hayseed
â@Jack Robinson he has his own podcast if you're interested in hearing some his stories. Called grilling JR
26:10 âvince might run the company for another 20 yearsâ 12 days later he announced his retirement :(
From where it started and now. What a amazing journey to be apart of. Well done Guys đ
From the days of recording videos on an iPhone balanced on an ironing board to getting the best guests ever. Thank you for everything you do Geordie! Absolutely love it! â€ïž
This was an excellent interview. I have been a diehard wrestling fan for 30 years now and Chris Jericho has remained in my Top 5 favorite wrestlers of all time. Jericho is simply timeless and his morals and overall outlook on life in general has so many lessons that so many can benefit from. True Geordie now has a new subscriber in me. Keep up the good work!
I really really like seeing the organic way in which the conversation started. Thank you for leaving that in!!
Loved this. Great interview. Love the unpredictability of the guests. Great job boys â€ïž
That was absolutely phenomenal. He is an incredible guest and you definitely need to have him on again
This is legendary. Jericho fan from day dot. Well done lads!
Great podcast. You played that perfectly Brian. You impressed Jericho with your knowledge and asked really great questions. Well done. Jericho is the GOAT.
This will be on in the van tomorrow
This is probably my number one celebrity guest podcast I've ever listened to! Well done! I am a musician, singer-songwriter guitar player , wrestling fan since probably birth, and I'm now completely inspired! This was literally amazing! Thank you so much! And thank you Chris Jericho for being completely real and also entertaining us all these years!
Brilliant podcast with one of my all time favourite wrestlers. It was really interesting to find out more about Chris Jericho and his career so far. You've come such a long way True Geordie from your rages on fifa to now doing your own podcasts and I look forward to future podcasts
Oh boy! It just gets better and better here! Loving the guests, keep it up!! đȘđȘđȘ
Laurence: â⊠are bonita fish big..?â
Jericho:â⊠Well, Laurence. They are whatâs called a trophy fish, so, yeah. Theyâre pretty big⊠I-âŠâ
Basically Laurences contribution to every interview heâs involved in.
Best wrestling interview you've done by far, loved this whole episode. Jericho is up there for me as one of the all time greats
Keep the Podcast coming, Brian. Chris Jericho, is everything and more I thought as a person he would be. And, yes Chris, rest assured you are entertaining me. A true professional man. Thank you to all the crew who make all the Podcasts happen.
I met Chris at his one man show last Wednesday, a top guy who has done pretty much everything. Always love listening to his stories. Great interview!
28:05 it's Roy Keane all over again đ€Łđ€Ł
Good commentđ€Ł
Didnât know if Jericho was liking Lawrenceâs little side jokes or if he wanted to snap him in half lmao.
No idea why he was on this one considering he donât even like wrestling and you could tell that here. Annoying melt he is
He ruins every podcast
Exactly what I felt.
One of the greatest showmen ive ever seen live. Seen hundreds of bands live but Chris and Fozzy are genuinely one of the best. Was lucky to catch them in a small intimate room and got myself a High five from the man himself. Great job TG team.
Amazing guest to the show. Could listen to him for more hours and podcasts to come. Amazing . Love the attitude era in WWF as it was known back then
THIS IS MENTAL, YOU AND YOUR TEAM ARE SMASHING THE PODCAST GAME
Welcome to Raw is Jericho, loved this podcast, Jericho is part off my childhood.
Always been in my top 5 list of wrestlers.
Absolutely fantastic podcast đ And I'm not having a dig about some previous ones (maybe a little), but I'm so glad you let Chris just chomp away with his stories without any interruptions.
This is an absolutely fantastic podcast! Great job and Chris was really awesome to listen to. I especially loved when he talked about his kids and letting them find their own way in life.
Taker, Micheals, Jericho, great lists of interviews. Some of these interviews are very deep and I'm enthralled by it. If you got a guy like Edge on here, that would be wicked. He was involved in some controversial events the last 20 years. Plus his comeback story etc.
Y2J is my all time favourite wrestler and I can honestly listen to him talk all day, you can hear his love for the business all the time. He's such an inspiration to me and I really hope to meet him one day đ
"DRINK IT IN, MANNNNN"
So happy to see jericho on this channel , top top guest and a legend in and out of the ring, keep up the great work Geordie
bro whoever does your booking deserves a MASSIVE raise, the guests keep getting better! well done lads
Jericho will always be one of the greatest performers of all time, incredible performer and can change it up whenever he wants and still remain one of the top guys around đđ»
he truly is legendary, definitely one of the greatest of all time
I grew up along with many others watching chris in ecw,wcw and wwe and now in aew. How chris reinvents himself time after time. Great interview Brian
Big fan of podcasts and watched a ton of them featuring many different people. This is the only one that I didnât skip a second. Chris Jericho thank you for being who you are. Man of class and certainly the greatest entertainer of all time! Huge fan since childhood!
Respect to Jericho for batting away Laurence when he tried to downplay Middlesbrough. These podcasts are much better when itâs just Brian and his guest without the constant untimely interruption of Laurence
Lawrence has no social awareness or social maturity.
As much as I like him, I feel as though he tries too much to be funny and witty when thereâs no need...JUST LET THE MAN TALK đđ
@@josephkeenan9143 He's David Brent lol
Keep the wrestling podcasts coming! Loving these., great job guys!! big up!
Theyâre great but can you not tell that Brian and Laurence donât actually watch wrestling? Certainly in this day and age. Neither of them could name 5 AEW wrestlers
This entire episode has been
great, I've been glued to it from start to finish.
Amazing lads keep them coming! Missed the regular podcastsđđ
Boy Jericho really loves himself.
I wasnât sure if this is actually how he is or if he just is being a heel.
@@ZackBackpackingAroundTheWorld itâs how he is.. u can just tell . Heâs a smug bastard I know people r going to say â oh itâs his heel persona â but I guarantee heâs a prick in real life. Heâs definitely putting on some persona but thatâs him . Heâs a smug guy who really thinks highly of himself
The coffee situation đđ.. but legit, just past half way through this so far.. fucking incredible interview đ !!
Keep it up lads, doing amazing with all these big names and very well put together interviews đŻ !!
Brian this was just awesome dude⊠To get Chris who is a living legend come on here just shows how far you have come⊠keep it up bro

Brian again with another one of my personal WWE legends on the best podcast out atm. Smashing it like always Brian mate!!
Keep the wrestling podcasts coming đȘđ»
Chris seems like a good person, very good interview as always guys, very cool to see a wrestling pod in person. Undertaker and Shawn Michaels were awesome but the whole table set up gives it a different flavor.
Really enjoyed this interview thank you!

The description: "This week WWE Legend, Chris Jericho (a.k.a. Y2J) speaks to True Geordie"
Now this will be a banger đđ» perfect time to upload away to get tea startedđ
Geordie, Iâve been watching since the phone on an iron broad Nile ranger days, ranting about Newcastle. Youâve now the best CZcams in the UK hands down.
So glad they spoke about MJF, truly the future of wrestling
Just my opinion but I honestly think the podcasts are so much better without Lawrence.
Million times better. No idea why he appeared on this one when he clearly donât know a thing about wrestling. Donât even think Jericho liked him much
6 people agree with you đđđ
Unpopular opinion
I agree what happened to him
I agree too
He was just present
This was great. I work with the guys over at Ickonic, absolutely love your podcast set up and production. Big fan of Jericho and pro wrestling. Great work
Looking forward to this! All time wrestling goat, no-one has had career longevity and reinvented himself multiple times like Jericho
WHAT A LEGEND
Jerichoâs one of those guys man... I grew up through the Orton/Edge/Cena/Batista era of WWE and I hated Jericho... now Iâve grown up I have immense respect for him and heâs ahead of all of them besides Orton in my eyes, tremendous talent and his attitude towards adapting truly is ahead of absolutely everyone in the game heâs good at everything he does, if you havent heard Fozzy check em out
Big respect to you Geordie... keepâs pushing and growing while maintaining top quality content đđ»đđ»đđ»
Everyone has their favourite wrestlers for different reasons but I think if you were to look for who is objectively the best of all time Jericho is the only real option. His ability to reinvent himself over 30 years in the business, win championships and be at the top wherever he goes is completely unmatched.
@@Rocky-dx2tg Not just that, but putting over young talent as well (Orton, Cena and Edge eventually followed in Jericho's footsteps somewhat).
People talk about Triple H burying talent and being a belt hog, but I was so bored of those 4 passing the title around every other month (or so it seemed).
This is such an amazing interview/podcast
This is surreal. We were just featured on a magazine with Fozzy on the front cover and now Jericho is on one of my favourite podcasts.....killing it gents.
Love how honest jericho was about aew and how he knew he had to make stars out of the gate, while he still keeps up on his OWN character. this man is a legend and clearly the goat. he is the demo god. best podcast w jericho ive heard in a LONG time. great job geordie.
Respect for showing up in person to Y2J đWould love to see an interview with Sting
Just the whole aew crew
At this point true Geordie I listen to you everyday man
I remember watching the Newcastle career modes and you could tell he didnât like doing them but to now see him with the likes of Chris jericho undertaker Shawn Michaels itâs levels man
Big Up and Shoutout Lawrence
Massively underrated
Keep it up
Great podcast! First True Geordie Iâve watched. Subscribed! đ
Back in the day Chris jericho was my favourite wrestler. He beat stone cold and the rock on the same damn night!
First undisputed champion baby! WWF and WCW champion
It's not real though đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł

Donât watch much wrestling anymore but Jericho will always be my favourite wrestler. Always find myself watching random bits heâs doing.
That MJF deflection was godly omg
I was tearing up towards the end hearing Jericho say that he wanted to be remembered for giving it his all, heâs such an inspiration and a great example of being confident and working hard
And humble, he doesn't act like he's the-end-all-be-all. He knows that he's only 1 cog in the machine of life, but he's a cog that the machine wouldn't work as well without him.
I love your wwe interviews mate. You know your wrestling, not many interviewers ask them the right questions
Big up the big geordie
Wwe/aew
Oh wow youâre really getting the big guns in, first the heartbreak kid now Y2J, love it.
Chris Jericho "There's no such thing as a botch"

I love these podcasts.
All the guys I grew up watching, some brilliant insight.
So many catch phrases and so many great moments from Y2J one of the G.O.A.T. đThis is one of a kind podcast coz youâll never everrrrrrrrrrrrrrr hear the same again....
The GOAT meets the GOAT. Love this Brian keep it up!!!
I'd love to see Geordie interview Jim Ross, that's one that could easily hit the 2/3 hour region
Congrats on all your success man. You're a very good interviewer.
Your đ Bro!!! These guests aren't disappointing whatsoever!!
Congrats on the new contract man
This is so fricken sick! Like I've been watching Jericho since I was a kid, I even followed him to AEW aha... And like Brian, I've been watching him forever, even up until the KSI commentary and then now he's fricken killing 2022. Laurence I love you too aha. This is so sick!
people hate Jericho for his ego, but that is the thing I like about him, he doesn't care what people think and will gladly do what he does best and what he loves to do, some wrestlers are different, some want to be respected and some are respectful, Jericho isn't one of the best without any reason, he worked hard for his creativity and helped other guys and those guys helped him, one of the most realest guys in the business alongside Undertaker, Cena, Orton, Edge, etc they are willing to put guys over and yet their place will remain in the top for the years to come, a legend in the wrestling business without a shadow of a doubt, what a great podcast.
(Context of wrestling) Everyone whoâs successful has a HUGE ego. Stone Coldâs was enormous, and for good fucking reason. You canât get anywhere without enormous self-belief. Jericho wears his on his sleeve and it commands respect
