Looks like a solid fix, I gather this is one of those "not just me" problems. My '04's tail lights had been given the works prior to my ownership. Tabs missing, and they'd been poorly "smoked". Polished out the latter, but have assorted zip ties and oversize washers holding what's left of the tabs to the car for the moment.

Well done, any quality repairs done cheaply on these money pits is bloody well done! However, they arent that expensive if you shop wisely. You can buy them individually, left and right BUT you can also buy them as a pair of "dark" or tinted compared to the standard lamps and they are actually a two for one deal. Sure they still arent "cheap" but you pretty much get one free if you buy the tinted pair from Eurospares UK - dont know if there are issues with USA / UK regs on taillamps like there are on your dicky LHD headlamps though. Now theres something they need to do a two for one deal - headlamps!!!!!! Geezus, you need a bank loan for two of them!
Thanks for the info. Still a pile of money compared to a couple of hours of tinkering. I hope the headlights hold up haha. One friend bought one and it had the US red indicator, then he got another one that didnt colour match so he had to buy the matching one. His one ejected on the motorway hehe.
I only have the one tab designed , I need to do the rest so I could supply a kit. Keep an eye on those lights. A few people have lost them at speed haha.

Yeah, all the tabs on the grilles and lights go with the heat cycling. Check them before they fall off on the motorway haha

So when can I order a bag of them? The tail light tabs on my Superleggera have seen better days...
