There is so much time and care into the story mode. The dojo is such a nice addition i never thought would have been added. The mario maker team is blowing me away at every corner. Good Job to all of them!

That switch is fine nintendo products tend to have legendary resilience built into them
Props to the interpreter here for making a genuine attempt to translate as much of what was spoken as possible. It's often easy to just gloss over the parts where people seem to be speaking to themselves and not directly at Tezuka. Sam made a lot of little comments about what she loved about certain level designs or what she found difficult, and I think developers are genuinely curious about this inner voice and they often have something they want to comment about those thoughts.
For those who don't know, the man on the left is DAN OWSEN, who basically translated & localized the original Link's Awakening (and a Link to the Past)... and a dozen other serious classics.

Developer of this game is such a lovely person! No wonder why we get such a game, where every game mechanism has a meaningful touch!

hmm well i have cerebral palsy and can't hold or use joy cons to create levels, but if i can use a switch pro controller i wiill try to make fun courses! one of my courses got on youtube if you type kirbywordy mario maker

Well actually, if you pre-order the game through the Nintendo e-shop, you not only get 12 months of Switch Online(!) as well on top of that - but also a custom Mario Maker 2 stylus (they’ll actually ship it to you, and you don't even have to pay for the shipping itself lol)!
I wouldn't know obviously if this would be the case, but maybe something like a Switch stylus would help you make levels in the game more easily with your condition? :-) might even be the complete opposite of that for all I know (I have very little knowledge of the condition), and maybe I’m an idiot for even thinking that would be the case, but idk, it's just a suggestion!

Normally I would follow by mocking but honestly this guy is damn amazing... I want to start learning Japanese as a third/fourth language, already being fluent in English and French and half good at Spanish, but even in French which is my mother tongue I wouldn't be half the translator this guy is. Kudos to him.

Yeah I watched the animal crossing Treehouse and that translator looked like she was having a bit of trouble at some points. But then again this is a two way translator so they have to be more skilled.

That first course is actually so well made. Scroll stops and built-in clear conditions are going to make levels seem much more official. I also like how the person playing was competent at the game and even figured out that cat Mario/banzai bill trick.

Really cool to see Nintendo having the ability to listen to feedback quickly and understand the community and breakdowns that you usually only indie devs have. I look forward to more content!

They probably will, but with the number of pokemon getting bigger, importing them all gets harder. It's bound to happen, that there's too much Pokemon to import they stop making new ones

It sounds like it might just be for the story mode. If not, they'll definitely get the message that it needs to be optional.
Yeah, this feature is... bad. The only way I can see this being avoided is if your placed enough items to fill up the item limit. Maybe you can't use it anymore?
I don't see how it would work in course world, it would make clear percentages meaningless (which also determine course difficulty in endless mode). Also people carefully design their stages to function with a certain amount of power-ups, this would essentially negate that, puzzle levels in particular. It must be an offline only feature, like just story mode and downloaded courses only, really wish they would clarify it though.
