#Mafia #mafia3 #Kevduit - Hry
Mafia III was The Punisher of the Mafia franchise. In my experience, it’s alright. Not blow your socks off game of the century, but it had fantastic music and what Mafia does best, is the story and the world it’s set in. The 1960s were a turbulent decade, but also a very intricate decade. 👍
He always did give me punisher vibes
Beat me to it
Dont forget my boy Donovan, that man was a complete savage. Especially the ending part if you know what part i mean
@@ricardomeijer7164 Also in the No Stones Unturned DLC. Donovan showed his true colours. My man!
The games story has an identity crisis. If it had nothing to do with the mafia it wouldn’t have been so borderline cringe at times.
I wish Mafia 3 had more character interactions with the main 3 underbosses.. and not just Lincoln getting closer to his underbosses, building bonds with them.. but having Vito, Burke, and Cassandra interacting with each other and becoming closer. Building a literal family or whatever..
I also wish it had less repetitive missions like Mafia 2 and Gta did
They DID NOT like each other. Its pretty obvious they just were together strictly for business. They would kill eachother if you even suggested any of them to take eachother out for a slice of pie
GTA has plenty of repetitive filler. It has better driving, shooting, boat, and plane mechanics. I played Mafia one, and two. Mafia two kept things concise. Good shooting and bullet physics. I liked playing the character in three. I will say again, the story and character animations are awesome. If you skip the open world drivel, and unfortunate AI, this game is a masterpiece.
@@roberthadley1560open world drivel is not that bad
@roberthadley1560 repetitive is an understatement for gta and I'm not sure which one you mean
To me, this has a great story and characters. That final scene where you finally confront Sal is so well done in my opinion. Unfortunately the gameplay is repetitive as hell, but at least it has one of the absolute greatest soundtracks in gaming. I will also add that I appreciate the narrative choice as presenting it as a sort of documentary, something I have never seen before or since in gaming.
Funny thing is if that you fail the opening mission, the agent at the center of the documentary is looking over in his documents in confusion. Saying “I don’t understand, that can’t be how it happened.”
They literally accounted for a time paradox in game.
The soundtrack got censored
This game doesn't have 'very little to do with the mafia'. It has everything to do with the mafia, that's the whole plot, it's just from the other side. You aren't *in* the mafia, you're *fighting* the mafia. It's still a mafia-focused story.
Fr
But you wouldn't call The Untouchables Goodfellas 2
While making you do the same activities over and over.
good take but very very very bad take repetitive story is okey I guess 1 and 2 loved 3 aint mine
That sounds boring as balls
It was basically Assassins Creed 1, repetitive but damn the music, cutscenes and atmosphere made me fall in love with it. Im glad Alexander Hernandez found more success after this game
more of the same ol' general consensus/Perception regarding AC1s gameplay structure...
it wasn't 'repetitive' just because it was 'repetitive' - and nothing more than that, to put it shortly, the 'repetition' is a part of the games narrative getting exemplified and intertwined with the whole 'repetitive' part, being the fundamental essence of meaning to take liberties with the overall experience of AC1.
This transpires into Desmond's part in the overall narrative as well as Altairs and how that corresponds with the gameplay structure, and so the Animus is supposed act upon as a mere catalyst for the story to progress forwards, both Desmond, Altair and the Player undergo the same progression through it's overall narrative structure, and with its interconnectedness with its gameplay structure...
the gameplay loop/structure is 'repetitive' at a surface or basis level, and every game shares that sentiment, but difference with AC1 is that there's layers to the 'repetition' that Ubisoft specifically prioritised for thw overall experience of AC1 compared to any other AC game after AC1...
The key to enjoying mafia 3 is to think of it as black Rambo the game. A Vietnam vet who’s been crossed out to get vengeance.
A Vietnam vet who was also in Special Forces
I put on the outfit with the flat cap and mustache and pretend I'm the Equalizer set in the 60s and you what if it was an Equalizer game set in the 60s it would have been a GOTY contender for sure
If the way to have fun with a game called MAFIA, is to think of it as Rambo with the MAFIA element left out, then something is not right here.
What's next, Assasin's Creed without the Assassins ? Ohhhh... wait... ubi already did it ;_;
Yes, but no. If you've played DLC, Lincoln is written like Arnie, not Sly. One liners, jokes, no PTSD, face expressions as well as being mountain of a man. It's Dutch, not Rambo.
@@2lazy4this90 yeah, it was called Black Flag and was received better then most games in the series. You didn't think this comparison through, did you?😂
The best way I can sum up Mafia 3 is: “amazing story, lukewarm gameplay.”
The cutscenes are absolutely incredible in every sense of the word. But they aren’t enough to hold up game play that boils down to one of two missions: drive here and destroy x or drive here and kill x.
The boss missions tend to be much better with the set pieces. The clan meeting and the river boat were some of my favorite parts. And the DLCs, especially sign of the times, shows that they COULD have made the game a lot more varied if they wanted to.
But as it stands, it’s merely an ‘okay’ experience.
*edit* I know this goes against the spirit of open world games, but I feel the game would have benefited from a much more linear storyline rather than open ended ‘move at your own pace’ missions. Have each racket feel unique in it’s disruptions: like ruining street races for the car theft racket, passing on investigative info to the feds to put pressure on the southern union, expose the officials involved in the bribery rackets so they’re forced to cut ties with the mob, that sorta thing.
Mafia 3 is still a solid game, the setting alone in the late 60's makes it relatively unique in modern gaming, which is honestly the biggest factor into why I love the game. Sure, it does have its flaws and bugs, and continuity mistakes, but its still a great game.
The gameplay is so damn fun I just wish they’d remembered their bread and butter and kept the variety of missions we had in 1 & 2
7:41 very kind of Kev to regard Soulja Boy as a “singer”
Or, very delusional.
First rapper to be a singer
He's as much of a singer as Mafia 3 is a Mafia game.
"Damn, you're scratching the paint!"
I’ve played this same game countless times. But for some reason I really loved how it came together here
I think I actually prefer mafia 3 over the others. I don’t quite know why I enjoy it so much
@@Batt-man The stealth is fun
Watching you play troll-like is hilarious. “Burke, Burke look! I parked in this parking spot on the line so that whoever is next to us can’t open their car door all the way. BE AFRAID!” Lmao
It was a fun game, not a memorable, but fun.
This was so amazing, it was like watching a documentary or a docudrama. It reminded me of when I was a kid walking to school in the 3rd grade, used to get into shootouts and had to out run the fuzz on the playground almost every day.
...../BUZZER Nah.....try again, maybe?
The ending part with the CIA agent is top tier
3:54 for a brief moment, that security guard turned into Ghost Rider
Cop: Lookin good, chocolate puddin!
Lincoln: 🏃🏿♂️🏃🏿♂️🏃🏿♂️🔫
🤷♂️ I loved this game, put it off forever, and then got sucked in. It was a blast. Maybe a little repetitive but… reminded me of a Scarface TWIY sequel or something
To me it feels like a Punisher kind of video game, U.S army guy has family killed by gangsters and now seeks revenge to kill them and avenge his family. Fits the bill pretty well.
@@captaintaurusva1999 oh ya I definitely agree, I guess I just meant Scarface TWIY based on the mechanics and gameplay loop really
@@captaintaurusva1999 zzzzzzzzzzzz
@@walkerwhited I agree, story like the punisher, gameplay like scarface, a nice combination to me
Been sitting on my PlayStation account for months. Maybe I should finally give it a try, especially since I loved the first two games so much.
Loved the Gameplay and taking out the Mob Business’s Loved Stealthing and Loved the Characters
Damn, you're scratching the paint!
i still remember the bar scene and painted black started playing,,, i had a gut feeling something was off
Lester, Lester grandfather really cracked me up 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I loved the Mafia series and this game as well. I remember having to dump my R9 290X cause it couldn't really run the game and go buy a spanking new GTX 1080. Didn't need to upgrade again until 9 months ago. That card was such a beast.
I do replay this game about every year, always loved it and it’s fun getting into the story and having some mindless fun in between. Always loved some of the fun cutscenes like when Lincoln scares Donovan, or when Grecco is running away in Lincoln’s car
It's funny. Every summer when it gets hot out, I find myself doing another playthrough of this game.
My favorite thing about this game is the soundtrack, I love classics and this is packed with them
This game has the best soundtrack of all time every once in a while I hop on just to drive around and listen to the music.
Driving like the average Vancouver driver in the mission with Burke 😂
Once I was done with everything in the game I used to ride around in the cars just to listen the radio playlists they had😂😂
You mentioning Whistlin Deisel was the crossover I didn't realize I needed.
Kev, I've gotta know cos it's driving me crazy- what's the track playing at the end??
I love that game man, after 8 or 9 years it still gives me chills
33:33 - 34:33 You absolute madman! How are you even driving like that?!
We’re tailgating had me dying
Do not let Kevduit take the wheels. He will drive like a average American Pilot in War Thunder.
5:07 I’m just now noticing this guy is Rahm Kota from the force unleashed
33:02 “who’s they? It happened tonight” LMAO
Bro I literally just ended the vito quest like an hour ago and all of the sudden a forgotten game got a video😂
29:09 This is called the Assault Spiral.
thats. just. how. mafia. works! 😎😎😎
It’s worth getting on sale for like ten bucks or so
I completed this game multiple times in the pursuit of getting one achievement that was bugged. Sucks that I still haven't gotten it. I genuinely enjoyed this game, but not being able to get the last achievement really soured it for me.
cant lie love this game, you feel like a badass when ut isnt buggy asl
Lincoln jacket tweeking in the cutscenes is funniest bug tbh
Playing game for first time n I love it. It’s a culmination cuz now you get to be the boss. Mafia isn’t just Italians every race really has one
I appreciate the Elden Ring soundtrack on 33:45
How do you play so many games so quickly???
Also where is Baldur's Gate 3 Act 3?
This is my favourite mafia ironically
This is more of a the Punisher game and if you see it like that its actually fun to play
That's the most fun anyone's ever had with Mafia III.
Maybe this is just because It was my introduction into the series but personally I loved Mafia 3, but I suppose I also appreciate the Vietnam war era for America and what that meant, how impactful it was in terms of narrative for him to basically still be in the trenches when he got home, but also I enjoyed the gameplay, I love GTA and Saints Row, and without Mafia 3 I probably never would have thought to try the first 2, mafia 2 is probably my favorite because it has a lot of roleplay elements involved that just make the world feel that much more real and alive, 3 was missing those, and 1 didn't have them, 1 being the first and most simple, I don't hold it against it, there's individual things I like about each one, 3 in particular I like the feeling of growing your gang and getting resources, just the whole way it works, it's dope, do I really feel super "Mafia" as my character compared to Vito for example no of course not, hes an Italian mobster, but it is important to remember plenty of other forms of the mob, and organized crime in general certainly did exist, I love their general desire to maintain historical accuracy for all 3 of them (although some of it is still inaccurate in each one)
8:06 I don’t think so-oh oop, ok… I thought it was a knife.
Id love to see you actually do a series of this, or any other game. Like, i really like watching you play with your commentary, but it would be cool to have some part 2s to keep going through
This game left me conflicted for a while after I finished it whether I liked it or not. In the end I came up positive about it. The gameplay itself and the gameplay loop are not exactly riveting but it really nails the atmosphere of the time and place and together with the driving, the characters and the whole presentation I had an awesome time with it. I got to admit though that I have not yet played the other two Mafia games.
I liked this game so much tbh
The vibes were immaculate, especially when you like the aesthetic and most of all the music 😌
Putting aside the bugs and repetitive side missions.
The main missions and their writing was great imo.
18:10 I thought that was a jump too..
That was some good gaming ngl
12:01 didnt knows you can ride the best thing
I love how swearing in videos will get you demonetized BUT violence and gang crime is fine, anyway. Love the vid
I really did love the story.
Personally I think this game ks underrated. I had a great time especially with all the DLCs.
Sammy really be a Dollar Store Giancarlo Esposito
Decent game enjoyed the driving and loved the music. All Mafia games have great music 🗿
i loved this game with its revenge story but gameplay became too of a loop that i just got bored
The intro for the game. Was nearly perfect. The betrayal and everything. And gave the player a reason for vengeance. But then the rest of the game was meh
That setup was unbelievably good, and just flowed straight into fetch quests, so unfortunate
@@Kevduiti still think about that scene any time i hear the song "paint it black"

I mean mafia 3 auto saves are messed up its 50/50 if your save will be deleted for no reason when you take a break after doing half of the story and then i forces you to do it from tutorial again...
@@ulgrineh1can confirm this , 2 times it happened to me. Already was at 50+% progress ig , but it just disappear like a wind.

Man, this game had the best soundtrack
Mafia 3 had though the best radio, I played the entire game 2x times so far for mostly the radio
This game has a lot of copyright issues. Some scenes I wanted to clip from my Xbox would not really work if it had music in it. It would be like a black screen and maybe some audio. Can't even stream the game with the built in twitch on the Xbox. Awesome game, love this game because of the 60s music.
Psychopath game playthrough with Kev doing a Kermit voice for the entire video when?
Mafia 3 felt a lot like a mix of GTA 5, Saints row and GTA 4. To someone who’d never played mafia at least. Still a great game. I’d probably enjoy it even more as an adult having watched a lot more mafia media
If it was a stand alone game not tied to mafia, I think it would have had better reception. I like how they made Lincoln like the boogie man.
Ah yes. The world renowned singer, Souljaboy.
If you are into the 60's then go for it! It is underrated imo.
Ah yes that classic by Bon Jovi, "something something copyright"
Anyone know the outtro music?
Will we ever get a Crysis video from you?
I was wondering if you play another fallout game can you at least add a mod that every range weapon Will shoot mini nuke
29:59 average Floridian man, wait where the alligators?! …or was it crocodiles? I think it’s alligators, *was alligators.
It was a good liked the cars an handling an shooting good game worth a replay when the tile comes
30:12 no, it a lightning strike, just slowed. I think.
Hes made of steel he took a .45 to the head at point blank range.
33:40 I must be a uhhh I dunno, something? I rarely drive psycho in games.
When those failure cutscenes happen, what are the writers implying? That there's some kind of alternate universe? Where the guy knows the other-alternate timeline but now is suddenly in another? We need answers to this, it has gone on far too long
i bought it on steam and the first mission would barely work for me, with glitching textures and crashing.
The biggest thing this game has against it is that it's really unfinished. Otherwise, everything else ranges from solid to just bland.
Kevduit should really do a fallout 4 psychopath video
More like kill everything run bc most of fo4 dialogue is 4x yes
I think the closest part to Mafia is Vito Scaletta being in the game. If they ever make Mafia 4 i hope it's about a Mafia.
Such an underrated game
I've just started the video but I actually really enjoyed Mafia 3, was a big fan of 2 also. I didn't mind the departure because as everyone who played 2 knows, there's no outdoing the story of Vito and Joe. Repetitive tasks is always a fair criticism tho. I suppose it comes down to how much you enjoy those tasks you have to repeat.
I think I would've liked it a LOT more if the story felt less "hostile takeover", you know? You feel like this unstoppable super hero almost, and it kinda took away from the feeling of being the expendable but useful mafia errand boy
@@Kevduit Definitely feel you on that. The world building being so grounded but the main character being so non-grounded doesn't add up. Still a lot of fun being that powerful. Mind you I did play on the hardest difficulty so I wasn't so godlike. I remember dying A LOT 🤣
Mafia 3 is alright if you aren't expecting anything near what you got in Mafia 2.
I loved it when Lincoln said "It's over, Marcano, for I am going to take over your Mafia 3!"
Truly one of the games of all time.
This game is great imo it focused on world building too much but I love it
I actually liked the story they were trying to tell
You *accidentally* stole a car for the first time, have to commit mass murder so you can drive away
So judging by the title that means the game is just called 3
If you need a more accurate title Lincoln vs the mafia would work
Do you think he'll ever get it?
