I think death itself gives them the hints and visions that leads to them escaping death. Like death is just bored so just wants to make things interesting
My theory, it is Bloodworth. He is some form of demon, or spirit that escaped. And is messing up Death's plan.
I think that was it for the first time, but Death had no clue it was gonna mess up deaths schedule, so bad. So since then, it's been annoyed and running trying to fix things.
The visions could also be like a mandela effect where they live through their death but then get thrown back to the current timeline.
@@tsubakiofmelancholy6297 I don't think he's a demon since he isn't active enough even in the films he's in to be directly involved with the deaths for any malicious intent to be gained from it, but I do think he knows a little too much to just be some random guy either.
My thought process is that he is probably Death himself, not the force that is killing everyone but probably the being that designed it to work as it does, giving some information to the soon to be victims to at least give them a bit more time while he knows it's almost impossible to escape its design without following through with a death and finding out a way to undo it. Most people die to it anyway even if a few bumps are avoided, so telling them how it works doesn't hurt the grand design.
Now the only reason I say he isn't the cause of all of these movies is because the movies don't make him that important and he never seems happy about anyones deaths, if he was a demon that wanted to mess up Deaths plans he would have taken up more of an active role to save peoples lives and if he was the thing directly killing these people he would show some form of enjoyment by toying with all of their lives in each movie.
Death does love cats, he'd be fond of apex predator hunts and the chase.
Final destination was a good idea for a movie. but was wasted on bad acting, bad riding and bad directing.

no but frfr it’s an amazing concept. instead of the person having to stay alive, the parents have to keep the child alive & it would be an amazing twist if the single mom was the one to keep her child alive 🙂↔️
Just realized that if Molly never got back with Sam she would have never died; we never saw her die in the first vision because she canceled her ticket.
We could’ve had a sequel with her 😢
I wonder if death gets more annoyed at people messing up his design or by whatever keeps giving out hints.
Maybe Death is bored and decided to turn up the difficulty of the game.
He gives out the hints. He’s playing chess with himself. Eternity is a long time 😅
Everyone loves a game. Many depictions of a “Death” figure involve games.
In this franchise, it seems almost that Death is reluctant to play and wants things orderly. The clairvoyants in the films seem to muddy the works, then he uses his oldest and most sure-fire trick, fluids.
It would be neat if they went full Black Parade and gave Death a real personality shown through these types of hints, but that doesn’t seem overtly present.
Shout out to Wendigoon’s Black Parade video, it’s very cool and an interesting take on the record.
What is giving out the hints
That's what I think makes the deaths more and more over the top as the series goes on
Bro this movie franchise is hella smart thinking about all those deaths, how they connect, making them thematically similar and handling the lore. Thank god czworld love your work
Makes you wonder what's going to happen in the sixth one that's being filmed, huh?
@@alyssamorgan747hopefully it actually comes out
Final destination was a good idea for a movie. but was wasted on bad acting, bad riding and bad directing.
I know right ☠️☠️☠️☠️
I agree for all except for the 4th.
I think Death was actually going to visit France for his vacation but ever since the first movie survivors it got called back to work. That’s why in the movies when we see anything with France , it’s just telling us that it still angry on not getting its vacation. 😂
Underrated comment 😂
I would be annoyed if someone was in the way between me and my vacation 😂
This makes a lot of sense
i read this while picturing the character death from family guy
Maybe Death wanted to visit the catacombs for old times sake.
So, I grew up with the superstition that horse shoes have to be hung/placed with the open end facing up. The logic is that the horseshoe holds the luck in it. If you tip the shoe upside down the luck can pour out of it making you "unlucky".
So, the guy with the horseshoe hanging in his car, was hung upside down. He didn't have any luck to begin with.
I really like that
Some ppl believe the opposite tho. That u hang them upside down so the luck falls on you when you walk under it.
@nomdeplume2213 oooo! Thank you that's so cool.
When I was a kid my dad had a sign made with out lastname and a horseshoe, which was hung upside down. I dont remember how long after, but I had mentioned one day "hey did you know that's bad luck" and he was actually shook and kinda froze. He told me how since he got the sign he was having bad luck and noticed he was always being watched/followed by a crow. He flipped the horseshoe around and never mentioned bad luck or being followed again
@TommasoFirmini oh wow! It always amazes me how things happen sometimes. Crows in my family are messengers trying to get someone's attention about a truth they're avoiding. Their truth can hurt, but paying attention always leads to healing and growth.
Maybe the crow was trying to let him know about his luck, who knows huh? I love thinking about things like this, it's all very subjective and people's experiences help shape and grow superstitions like this. I love it. Also, very glad your dad's luck changed for the better ^_^
I noticed that at the beginning of FD2, when it focuses on the keychain, it also says "Road Trip", with the "T" covered up to make it say "Road RIP," which is most definitely a reference to the opening highway crash.
The characters don't react because it takes a second for a human to react after seeing something, and if something falls on you top speed, you don't have time to react, only to see what's about to kill you. (and yes, maybe it takes 3 seconds to happen for us the audience, for theatrical effect)
51:48 So, interesting psychology fact: This is realistic because people often feel an urge to change clothes after traumatic events. The clothes a person wore during a traumatic event often end up being associated with said event for the next few hours or days. People often aim to change out of them ASAP because it ends up making them feel uncomfortable and reminds them of the event further. Now, going purely off of the writing standpoint: You're probably on point saying they changed because of the blood stains. Just thought this would be interesting to point out.
Interesting 🤔
not to be even more morbid, but sometimes victims of SA that don't report right away will often trash the clothing they were wearing during the attack. They'll associate it so much with the event, that they can't bear to have the "tainted" clothing near them. it's also why they'll often shower immediately, they just... feel dirty (personal experience as well as noted in some cases that had later reports/books about SA victims)
@@DEATH-THE-GOAT I wouldn't say it was too much more morbid, but I am curious on where the SA is brought in. I originally mentioned this fact to respond to the time stamp which involved the witnessing of her friends' death. I don't recall SA being involved with that part, however I haven't seen the video in full for a while. Is this just an addition to dark psychology facts or does it relate to a part in the video?
@@dwfc775 it was not I who brought up SA. But it's okay.
@@DEATH-THE-GOAT Oh shit, sorry about that! Wrong person, meant to reply to @elliephantom! Apologies for the mistake!

Did anyone else have the final destination dvd that let you pick their fate? It was for the one with the rollercoaster
No but I totally remember commercials for it.
Yea I rented it from a library for fun. It’s dumb and you can only save the dude with the camera.. he’s literally the only person you can actually save. All the other deaths are just cut down versions of the original. It was totally just a marketing gimmick with no real thought put into it. The studio probably did it without the actual film makers being involved.

Also at 5:03 it is good to mention the airline of the cancelled flight to Paris is Sauver which is the verb Save, hinting they were saved
Also volée has a more common translation of "flight" I've actually never heard of it meaning stolen but I am not a native French speaker
@@gills2794 yup, it is; robber is voleur and volé (masc.)/volée (fem.) is stolen. Like for example, car is fem in french "Voiture" so if you want to say your car got stolen you say "ma voiture est volée"
@@GlitterRain15 and voler is the verb for to steal. Learned something new today!
@@GlitterRain15 Also the movie was originally intended to be an episode of The X Files. 👽🛬🛸🕵
There is a show called Dead Like Me that may be Final Destination from the reaper point of view. The 5th episode of the 1st season explains what happens when Death's design is messed with. AJ Cook (Kimberly) makes a cameo in one of the episodes
that was such a good show
my mom and i use to watch that back when it first came out
I loved the show but the Finale TV movie was mostly awful but had its moments
How old am ? Old enough to have all seasons burnt to DVD.
Okay, here are a few more small details:
- The pigeon that Goth Ian (FD 3) shot is also a clue to Tim Carpenter (FD 2).
- When Kimberly sees the pigeon, she sees the premonition through the glass. Tim dies with a plate of glass.
- Ian works in a "build it" store, Tim dies in an unfinished construction site. The bridge in FD 5 is also still under construction.
- Olivia Caslte's death in FD 5 is similar to Tim's death in Denstist, which also ends with glass. She also tried to get a laser eye so she wouldn't need glasses, but oh well....
- Another Office reference is actor Nicholas D'Agosto, who also plays Hunter, Jan's boy toy.
- A lot of fan references, in FD. Alex throws the porn magazine through a fan, in FD 3 Frankie dies by a motor that looks like a fan. FD 5 Candice dies next to a fan. The tourbine of the airplane explodes. They also look like a fan.
- Tod means death in German.
Amazing video by the way! Sub directly! 😉
Years ago, I took the train to college every week. My mom drove me to the train station that Sunday. The weather was unusually stormy and I later heard there were even small tornados, which almost never happens in my country. As we were waiting for the train, already spooked by the weather, I saw an ad sign next to the tracks and the tagline said "Think again." Luckily nothing happened, lol. I'm still alive (knock on wood).
22:44 I dont know if that's also a secret, but holding a horseshoe downwards is also considered "bad luck", like you spilling out all the luck inside the horseshoe.
I remember reading Death of a Salesman in college, and the most memorable part of the book was the whistling. Someone in a chapter was weirded out that a character who was not successful was whistling. It was the creepiest read.
A correction for the necklace at @24.13 It's not a demon tail, it's a fish hook. That style is common in Māori and Pasefika art, but pendants like this are traditionally carved out of bone (or pounamu [greenstone] in Māori culture) of course not metal. In te reo Māori they're called hei matau.
“MCR and Misery Business” killed me every single time he said it 😂
love all the song name-drop jokes too for both mcr and paramore 😭💀
Even though Ian more resembles Billie Joe
Thousands of people's fight or flight response is dull enough that they 100% would watch something like that fall on them, and he was high from his surgery.
It's because FoF is false - there's FOUR basic reactions: Fight, Flight, FREEZE, AND FAINT
@@JC_CaliReally? Didn’t know that. I always thought logically it’s freeze, fight or flight…
@@JC_Cali it's freeze or fawn. Fainting would fall under freezing.
Plot twist!! a group of Death's grim reapers are bored so they make a game over who can kill the survivors in the funniest way.
Death Note in a nutshell but with a twist lol
The limbs with hooks on them are prosthetic limbs, they're what people who lost an arm in an accident can use as a replacement hand. Yeah it's a bit weird that he's rolling around a cart filled with them, but maybe he's delivering them to someone or cleaning out a storage, or maybe he's just a kooky collector.
Thank you! I wondered if someone else had commented about that. If I hadn't found yours I'd have said something. Its not really that odd if you think it through. Maybe he repairs them at home for a shop. Something like that. Never really know without a context question in the movie which they didn't have.
The small statue in final destination 2 was not a demon. It's a Gargoyle, know as protectors of buildings, churches, and houses from external threats.
Adding onto this, gargoyles serve the purpose of rerouting water!
Oh wow i didn't know every premonition in FD4 had "It's here" somewhere in them. Crossing out "its coming" and replacing it with "It's here" is cool. You know they thought of that first and retroactively added all the other "its here" messages
That’s crazy

Another thing about wolves you skipped. A Black Wolf is actually connected to the Devil in folklore also. So a double connection to your list of links.
Oh heck no dont make a final destination with babies or children. Im telling you this movie and its sequels gave an entire generation of people extreme anxiety disorder and that generation is the generation that has been having children lately. We already have a final destination way of thinking about the worst possibilities that could happen to us and our children as is and many of us are already extremely overprotective to a point of messaging up our children's futures cause mom and dad were always over protective so its definitely not a great idea to show that and ruin even more children 😂. Plus its probably because dead babies is way to sad and harsh. Very rarely do any movies kill small children or babies because it can absolutely ruin the experience of the viewer along with more issues
I can’t wait Final Destination Bloodline
What is that
@@Bgdk aka Final Destinantion 6
I'm trying to look what it's going to be about. But I can't find much.
@@sandrasierra3560still early in development but Wendy from FD3 is rumored to return so it seems like her and maybe Kevin and Julie lived through the subway crash after her premonition, probably just her, she got a bit more pep in her crawl with a broken leg knowing another train was coming
Really hoping Kimberly and Burke show up too (yeah yeah yeah they were said to be dead in a newspaper in a Choose Your Fate scenario, most of us assume that the multiverse of Choose Your Fate isn’t inherently canon, if we don’t see Kim and Burke die on screen, they’re alive until proven otherwise imo, just like with Alex and Clear until FD2)
All of the previous survivors (including maybe one or two from lists we never saw) should be brought together by either Bloodworth or Wendy to help a new group of survivors, add new rules that make sense and add more lore that isn’t too egregious to Death, maybe add an opposite force that is responsible for the premonitions
@@Gibbypastrami okay cool I was wondering if the title was alluding to Isabellas Hudson son from 2 he was never given a name and is a survivor. Looking at the wiki should now be around 23 or 22 years old now.
It's all part of Death's game like you can't die until your turn, signs before someone's next, etc.
I think Final Destination is a interesting concept
There is another urban legend about Love Rollercoaster. The model on the album cover had her modeling career ruined because her legs were maimed on that shoot, and she was later murdered in the studio by the band manager. The honey she poured over herself (on the album cover) reacted with the fibre glass platform she knelt on. When she was removed from the platform the skin on her legs came away. She confronted the band manager for compensation and he killed her while the Ohio Players were recording.
in case anyone else (other than me) read this with horrible reading comprehension and thought this was real, the model, ester cordet, was not disfigured or murdered and is still alive at 77 years old. additionally, the scream in the song is from the bands pianist
@kais3297 I should have made it clearer it is just an urban legend and is completely untrue 😅 Sorry if it was a bit rambly too, I was um....relaxing 🍃 😶🌫️

honestly i’ve always thought that making the statue that commemorates the teens that died on the plane a bird that looks like it’s about to take off kinda morbid because they died on a plan that just took off
25:27 CZ just have to point out the painting is of a woman in a red sweater with one knee propped up on a stool. If you look really closely you can see her head in the far left corner of the frame.
CZ, smoking on the treadmill is expert mode, she is trying to make it harder for herself lol
4:47: the reason why the train is red white and blue is because that was the paint scheme of BC Rail. The BC Stands for British Columbia and this movie was filmed in Vancouver BC
I watched all the movies as a kid growing up.. but it wasn't until I re watched all of them as an adult to really understand and grasp that last scene on the plane from the very last movie... My mind was blown.
I always thought the bridge reference in Final Destination 2 and the Mt. Pleasant thing was a reference to The Mothman Prophecies, which was released a year earlier. That whole movie was about the Mothman being an omen of death coming to Point Pleasant- trying to save people from a disaster. Kind of the complete reverse of this movie where they seek out clues to death coming, in MMP they’re being warned to avoid it.
Its heartbreaking what FD1 is inspired by from an aviation point of view. Nothing was so haunting than being up in a North Jersey marsh in the meadowlands seeing a memorial placed for TWA Flight 800. Definitely give it a read when you get the chance
"Monkey demon statue" is the gargoyliest gargoyle. Gargoyles are actually supposed to ward off evil so kinda weird to have it there.
Adding onto this, gargoyles are French, AND their dual purpose is to reroute water from the roof! Additionally, the gargouille was also a sea serpent in mythology!
13:49 it says get it together, not get together which have completely different connotations
1:15:58 - FTR, that Corona Beer Brand was seen in FD2 when Evan returned to make Mozzarella Sticks which resulted his Apartment Fire. It could be considered as a neat-o callback, yes.
That Shrek bit caught me so off guard, I almost inhaled coffee, thanks! 🤣
I rewatched the FD franchise and honestly it is my favorite franchise. I remember being scared watching these movies when I was little and honestly I am still terrified of these movies as an adult. I think it’s because these movies revolve around everyday occurrences like going on a plane, cooking, riding a rollercoaster, etc which is why the franchise feels very fresh no matter how many times I watched it.
1:10:01 Honestly his death seems to be similar to the death of James Byrd Jr. A black man who was brutally murdered in Jasper, Texas in 1998. He was hooked to the back of a Ford pick up truck and dragged for 3 miles til his agonizing death. The three men responsible were also avowed white supremacist 😅. It has been so long since I watched “The final destination” and now knowing the franchise has many Easter eggs that were related to real life people and events it totally wouldn’t take me by surprise if his death could have been inspired by this. I definitely grew tired of the franchise over time, but this video has definitely given me a new found appreciation of it! Thanks for the video 🙏🏽👏🏽
Us horror movie fans are grateful for work u put into these videos
Jojo siwa as the maternity ward nurse killed me
Small detail in FD2 regarding Evan's "good luck" horseshoe ring: when you hang a horseshoe, the ends are supposed to be pointing up to catch and contain good luck. Hanging a horseshoe with the ends pointing down indicates losing all your luck. When Evan takes out his ring to admire it, he held upside down.
Don't know why but Terry's death scene just gets me everytime when she gets hit by a bus and proclaims to everyone 2 seconds before "Than you can just drop fucking dead" and she does. Very chilling scene 😮
still not over the name "Tod"
I wonder what's going to happen to the character who's called "Death" in German XD
Finally someone else saw this
I think final destination is so scary because death is like relentlessly chasing them down and no matter what they can’t escape it. Like they are truly doomed.
Just like we all are being chased everyday and we don’t know when we will be caught
Death: " Stop it CZ , you're making me look like a hack!"
I'm really hoping Tony Todd isn't revealed to be death in the next movie. That would be the saddest, most predictable cop out ever. Just let him be a really weird dude. He's a mortician. He works with dead people. Let him just be socially awkward. Most of his advice ended up being wrong anyway. He's not the grim reaper or some otherworldly force. He's just weird and lonely. We all know that one guy
Technically he’s only be a speaker for death. Morticians are the closest to it, next to hospice nurses so him knowing so much about death makes sense
That quip about the Falcons was uncalled for… but oh so true 😅
What about Final Destination 1800? Someone gets a premonition of a ship getting taken down by the Kraken. Deaths shenanigans ensues.
What !? 😂
"à la Volée" in french can mean also on the fly => "en vol" (ex volley in tennis/soccer context) , and in some context can be directly translate by Flight when talking about stairs.
You missed the football jersey Lewis is wearing in FD3. It has 99 on both sleeves then 99 on his chest, 666 666 when flipped.
When I was a student, I had penciled my own outline for a final destination finale (mainly because I didn't like the last movie). In my head, everything led back to the coroner. I would be discovered that he was the one causing all the premonitions of the main characters across the franchise as a way to keep death distracted and away from himself as he had found his own way to predict the designs and his own demise. So he'd mess with said design in a way that forced deaths attention away from him and give him extra time. I had made up a lot of dumb explanations like those disasters being indirect catalysts of his own death long time later, kinda like a bigger version of the constant domino effect accidents from the other deaths, so death itself didn't give him much priority even if it still kept making all the preparations for him to die in a way worst than all the other franchise accidents.
So, you already extensively covered my two favorite franchises: Saw and now what I consider slapstick horror. Many thanks!
Okay, slapstick horror is a genre I absolutely can get behind 🤣
1:01 in and i am just now realizing James Wong directed the first film? You learn something new everyday

I feel like the idea of final destination being a movie in universe would be similar to the stab movies in scream, based off horrible tragedies, but make the movies follow a more Hollywood formula, or making these movies campy even though the actual events resulted in many people dying in these massacres

Cool fact/blooper for Final Destination 2: they reference that this happens in New York State. The accident on US Route 23 which doesn’t even go through NY State
I keep forgetting that when it comes to reactions to touma or in this case something deadly going on people recognize only two out of 3 big "F"s- fight and flight, and completely forget about the third one which is freeze, and very common reaction. When it comes to the Final Destination this might be an unpopular opinion, but 2 was always my favorite.
I'm suprised you didn't mention that Shreck was a reference to Max Shreck who played Nosferatu. Did I miss it?

@@danjonmills Also I think this was mentioned before is that at the airport while Alex and everyone see the plane explode through the glass which shatters in the background reveals upcoming deaths such as the bus that will run over Terry Chaney etc. Wow talk about your foreshadowing. Notice after Tods death how death retracts itself? It's the only time we ever see this happen in any of the Final Destination films! Tod spelled back words is Dot but could this also have a meaning? Death Of Them? Dead Of They? Clear makes a Michael Jackson reference in regards to Tod when she and Alex sneak into the morgue to see him. M.J. would die 9 years later!🤔🔍⏳🕵
You remind me of Stu Macher. Not Matthew Lillard- specifically Stu Macher. But not in a bad way!!! Not like, serial killer Stu lol. Stu *before* you know he's a serial killer.
Olivia from FD5 was such an icon, R.I.P Queen
One thing I just realized is that Nora Carpenter is wearing a similar sweater of Mrs. Pamela Voorhees from Friday The 13th (1980) who is known for getting decapitated as a trigger to launch Jason Voorhees' killing spree, so maybe that sweater is a hint that she's going to lose her head just like Mrs. Voorhees did over 2 decades before
I wish you would slow down a bit. You talk so fast. No rush, please. We all love your video's.
0:45 Hey, I think you met Gioulettine, not Gallows. During the French revolution
Final Destination series has one of the most innovative villain/antagonist in movie history... we can't see them as physical being but more of an invisible sinister force on environment
Whenever you have a video on Final Destination, I’m going to bring up the FD3 DVD Special Feature ‘Choose Their Fate’, which has alternate death scenes for characters and some information on the fate of the survivors of FD2.
Might be lame, but this movie is the one that got me into special effects! I was always interested in the process and wanted to know how in the hell they made certain things happen in horror movies, but it wasn’t until I watch the behind-the-scenes of final destination three that I became really enamored with special effects. I remember how they made the “brain splatter “ Being nothing but mush bananas and strawberries🤦🏽♀️ I was 9 and have been invested into guessing out how they did certain cool scenes ever since
BRO THE GOT EEM WHEN DUDE GETS HIT BY THE AMBULANCE HAD ME CRYING
These movies taught me to look for any signs anywhere
What a coincidence, I just finished watching all the Final Destination movies last night and I noticed this black man shows up in all of them. I'm assuming he's "death" just by the eerie feeling he gives off.
He is the angel of death there is no coincidence
IT'S TONY TODD!!! He's a goddamn legend
Nah. According to the directors, William Bloodsworth is not death, but has played death's game before. I think one of the articles that came up on the sixth film, was hinting at William's past. Maybe we'll finally see the connection, after all, William did say "I"ve seen it all before."
@@alyssamorgan747 That would explain why he was gone after 2. He seemed very tired of death's game, maybe it finally took him
The ending to 1 FD was perfect. I didn't know about that song! Is it ever explained why these people have the ability to see into the future? Or just THEIR death?
This channel is not only calming but informative. I promote it for any film buff that wants to truly know the depths of filmmaking. Bravo on making yet another gem! 😊
I saw the movie in germany when it came out and when Tods name came up i thought it meant "Tod" the german word for death.
11:53 didn’t know Boeing made a 474 😂
Volée also means "flight", so it makes sense for an airline name
Bloodworth was that one character who made death sound far scarier than anyone else 😂
You think I’m gonna watch almost 2hrs of your video? Cuz I will sir
I seriously love all your horror analysis videos, keep it up man!
I KNOW that everyone is suffering from hero movie fatigue, but this is how I expected Hela too be introduced. Like, she has a vendetta against Captain America for surviving beomg frozen in ice and that is how she's introduced. (And that she would be Thanos's love interest). Or that she could have been introduced as an entity not yet seen that Thanos converses with who later comes out of hiding once she hears that the Avengers were going to undo the Blip.
I just finished up to FD3's end credits songs. The vast majority of these details I missed and I'm honestly blown away by both the amount of detail that went into each film so far and the laser focused attention you dedicated to finding them and connecting the dots.
You would think that with all the work the crews put into these details, with crews from future installments actually centering kills around little things from past films like the fish getting stuck in the oxygen tube, that they would have gotten better actors or directors for some of the really bad moments of this franchise and also better writing in the screenplays as almost every film would have benefitted from another draft or two to make it more cohesive and the dialogue more natural.
The franchise is still a lot of fun even at its worst because the premise absolutely makes it fun, but these films could have been a lot better if they were just tightened up in a few areas and we could probably have at least a couple more instead of the franchise just dropping dead, especially after the way the last one ended, which I thought was really smart. The premise is one that actually allows for near endless possibilities as Death is likely always trying to play catch up because of some people getting away from their death, which creates the butterfly effect and constantly changes the design.
An hour+ vid HERE FOR IT
I love the 1st and 5th Final Destination movies the Most. I also like that Final Destination 2’s over the top acting, and Final Destination 3’s back to the rules of the 1st movie kinda take, but I HATE Final Destination 4, luckily the 5th movie was a breath of fresh air and had the greatest character development of all the other movies.
@jayster3.0 The Late David R. Ellis Directed Final Destination 2 and 4. Albeit 2 was a bit better then 4. At least they used real cars and people driving the cars in the pile up for part 2. By the fourth it was all CGI generated and it shows LOL! 🚗🚙🚚💥
