Had this happened in the U.S. the shoppers and workers would be forced to leave the store by corporate security and drive home for fear of being arrested for loitering.

Yeah they were super lucky not to be left out in the cold and they had warm beds and food, couldn't have picked a better place to hold up

This happened at Mattress Mac's here in Houston, several times so far I believe. People fleeing hurricanes from New Orleans and people w/o power last winter for two.

In Melbourne, Australia, IKEA shoppers enter the store which follows a route so that you have to travel the whole shop. There are a few short cuts to bypass some sections. My wife loves IKEA, I live in dread that we will be stuck in there forever. It is my biggest nightmare, not even a snowstorm would convince me to stay one minute longer than I have too.
I wish I was there...
We have Ikea in LA it would make a great homeless shelter.

I heard that horse meat is suppose to be better for you health wise and that's why it was ruled illegal to eat it. There used to be a kind of red bean used in American Chinese food that was so good that it lowered heart problems. They made that illegal too.
