A round-up of raw footage from my summer 2018 carping campaign. There's something magical about the city and many mysteries to boot. Follow my channel for more carpy content!
Really enjoyed watching this mate, very well done to you and for putting such great effort into your short days angling sessions, lovely fish, good effort, proper wholesome attitude, your a shining example to the younger crowd of how to put yourself over, and you presented this so well. I'm off to watch your next video now !
Great to see a young angler with such enthusiasm and fishing in areas, like I did in my youth, astounding people with what and where I caught. Well done Jacob, brilliant video.
came across this channel by chance great stuff mate keep it up theres some nice fish to be had in london iv fished the grand union for 20 years and had some nice old fish out
Just found this channel. Quality stuff mate. I'm an all rounder but I do like catching a few carp out of unusual places - random streams, canals, urban areas etc. Keep it up!
Jacob, for a 19 year old, this is a tremendous effort. The editing is spot on as is the commentary. You will have big success in future with this attitude and the fish you caught were absolutely beautiful. Well done!! I'll now join your Instagram page and follow you there. Good luck with your studies in London and thanks once again.
It’s like watching alan blair , but very real and genuine , likeable and skilled . Nice watching urban fishing without all the ego , the silly big ups and slightly wierd laugh . I agree with the comments . Very likeable talented kid . GOOD LUCK to you Jacob !!! Don’t sell out 👍👍👍
Well done congratulations on a brilliantly put together video. Iv fished canals for years pal im 45 now and still push bike it down my local canal proper English wild carping at its best top angling and some stunning carp hope fully we will both have another great summer this year. 💯👌👊🍻🎣🎣🎣
Brilliant video Jacob Brought back memories for me Great captures The extra effort that non drivers go to amazes me ,but I bet you don’t struggle for a seat on London’s public transport on the way home
@@jacoblondoncarper4857 my fave carp wood carved mirrors and commons the darker the better I target specific carp on 4 privately owned lakes it's hard work but very rewarding the carp in my pic is a 40lb mirror I've been chasing for 5yrs she is called Mary's sister I banked her last September Iim now after Mary
you have Fish in some of the places I used to surface fish the docks. Why don't you try the River Thames Chelsea Creek on the four Shores not sure if you'll be able to get into the very back basin anymore as it is been refurbished round there but the fish are residents there must be so many chunks now. And more or less not fished for go into the park nearby need a boat club get on the foreshore down the ladder try and go a bit right and the world is your oyster. good luck
I use to dream I'd catch a record carp from the basin, love fishing there early morning steam coming of the water and as hot as a bath, ive fished on the shore last year but no luck, used a rope to climb down and back up again, also fished where the small park is, all at low tide, im local so will try again , but we try when the tide is coming in this time. My uncle fished the in the 60s and i spent the 70s and 80s fing there, ive seen carp that look over 40lb + in there and have not given up my dream of catching a monster :)
@@EODM1 marvellous get there as soon as you can when the tide is going out so you can just get on the foreshores it goes down get a full day's fishing. just go across the sewage outlet jetty so you're nearer to the mouth of the creek and you can intercept the fish as they are leaving the creek they are monster sized grass carp huge cats and many 30 + carp a lot of Commons but there is a fair few mirrors I've had loads. A good little tip when water turns it starts coming back up plug your lead into the bottom especially where they are boulders dip areas and just walk back these produce quite well. It's best to fish with your tits up Skywards to avoid the flow and all the debris that comes through as much as possible and used it least 4 ounce leads flat ones are the best. If you sit by the park an hour or so at the right time you will see a lot of carp jumping especially near the jetty that goes out by the sewage works good luck
@@EODM1 if you find an old advance carp magazine I think it was 2003 maybe two there is an article there I did called Up The Creek all is explained in there. Carp over 30lb+ and grass carp 38lb cats 26lb which were babies
Hi mate love the video best one I have seen to date I live in London and would love to catch a urban carp Would be able to list a few places to fish Thanks dan
Thanks mate. Shadwell Basin is good for a bite. there’s a few park lakes to check out, all the canals and rivers hold fish. Just go searching and youl find some fish😊
@@jacoblondoncarper4857 I tried it at KX in front of my college but only had the odd bream :D Then went on to fish The Serpentine. Anyways great video mate, good effort. I am returning to London end of Sept but doubt I get out often, last year of the BA, very stressful :/
