We delve into the life of rising carp fishing star Jacob Worth as he goes in search of some proper old warriors right in the heart of London. Hopping on buses and taking the tube to scout his swims, Jacob fishes the canal before finding some hidden gems on a park lake including a really special fish which had previously been rarely seen.

Really well spoken! The cinematography was incredible too. So good to see a youngster holding down a job, whilst being commited to what he loves.

This reminds me of a young me effort involved in fishing. Having to walk 2 miles to the lake with heavy gear 30 years ago, too easy to roll up in a van unload the value deminishes more effort the reward is greater. Pre baiting wading out in undies along gravel bars cutting your feet on swan mussels, fishing under an umbrella in November on a shitty bedchair. Every fish caught had real value. Today everything is easy, rigs don't tangle equipment for everything. I'm not knocking it advances are great but I do miss the old days. Brillant video btw

Good old days. My local was the river smite. Used to walk miles and miles stalking chub and that's once you had biked 2 miles to get there
You should get a Vango camp bed 20 quid pretty heavy for its size but it fits into a bag about half the size of them folding picnic chairs everyone has

You did a similar thing to me moving from Cheshire to Lon Don ( Hot Fuzz ref).
For me it was the lakes on Clapham common, then Crystal palace which had more tench than carp back then.
Well presented video without "too much" music overlay and boring time lapse stuff.
One thing though, please dont describe canal mid twenties as not big fish. They are huge for any canal and anything 30 plus a monster.
Just enjoy what urban fishing has to offer and the surprises along the way. The way we are going with predation in future it may only be our urban basins which are relatively free of Otter and Cormorant anyway!

Quality Jacob, I work in London so appreciate the effort you go to, I can’t imagine carrying my gear on the tube, obviously you avoid rush hour! It's such a great shame,by sharing experiences, pleasure,places with an amazing insight to our fabulous and incredible sport we call Fishing...how certain individuals use it as a roadmap to free dinners.....
They have a total disregard for the law and the crime they commit
Pillage and plunder.......
With a total lack of care or conscience........
I fear that some of these superb specimens may never be seen again.....so sad.......
And all because we fellow anglers love to share experiences.....and bring such pleasure.......to almost everyone. ...

We did our best to try to hide the venues and swims Jacob fished in the video which was, as you can imagine quite difficult as we also didnt want to spoil the entertainment side of it. Its a difficult balance but we would never not publish content as its video's such as this which help attract and hold new blood into the sport and give angling a future. We also like to think that the majority of those watching this video will be responsible anglers who take fish care and our sport very seriously. something which we are also passionate about as anglers ourselves. We hope you enjoyed the video
