It’s way slower than its advertised wattage rating. Appears to be a 1800w hub motor.

Isn’t it funny how all of these review videos are people with no experience on bikes in general or on the particular bike they are “reviewing”… I don’t want their ignorant opinion about a bike they don’t understand after five minutes, why don’t they ride it around for a few weeks and then give us an actual review, maybe after they figure out how to mount the handlebars correctly 🤦🏼♂️

It's always scary buying the first generation of anything there are always bugs to work out. I was getting kinda nervous because the delivery date was coming and I still hadn't seen any videos on CZcams. I'm excited again. Can't wait to get mine. What State are you located in? It kinda looks like SoCal.

Thoughts on Range? My current ebike has 1000w hub motor and goes about 24-27miles on throttle only with 48v 20ah battery. I believe this one can do better

I am about to make a a video soon. I ended up deleting the pedals. You can replace the cranks with 8mm threaded Harley Davidson Shift pegs.
i can hear your breaks rubbing loosen the break mount just enough to move it then hold down your break lever . and as your holding that down tighten thee break mount back

Hello Manny, what do you think of the Freego dirt bike. If you can share your top speed you were able to reach and the maximum range you were able to get. The reason I ask you these questions is I place an order for this bike about two weeks ago and I didn't have any source before placing my order.
If you can tell me more about the bike especially the maximum range you were able to get. The reason I want to know because it was advertised a range between 56 to 60 miles on a full charge. What you stated in the video 11 kilometers you reach then I may have to reconsider my order
I had the EKX 21 the model before this one . And it definitely gives you range , but the top speed on the model before this one was only 30 mph even tho they advertised at 34 mph top speed .

Why are you titling the video X3 ?
I've owned several ebikes many of them went over 40mph. The dispay is in km and he got it up to 40-41mph. Now most displays read faster then the actual speed. From what I see looks as though it's 38-39 mph. Makes me question the advertised specs. 60v battery and 80 amp controller.. The bike has 100-110 nm of torque that's the same as a goat v3 and this bike is about 20 lbs lighter with 30 more amps then the v3 goat. Not trying to bash the bike but the specs are not adding up. The goat v3 has 3000+ watts and this has 4800+ watts. The v3 can hit 43-44mph and the new updated one is supposed to hit 50. My bike now has a 60v and 45 amp controller and has hit 44mph gps verified. Perhaps the settings aren't set up right?
I keep questioning the heck of them and none of their support people have any idea about the Actual specs... It took me forever just to get confirmation of the 80amp controller. Very skeptic of the rest...
@@nortizz The company that first made this bike is EKG, it looks like freego rebranded this bike and doesn't look like they even rode it. They changed the side plates to say freego and put the bikes in boxes to ship out

One other person bought this and said it hit 47mph converting km to mph. however how accurate is the display and he also cannot change the settings in the display.

Hi Manny, I have been checking on this bike for awhile, I have just one quick question, have you got a chance to test the actual top speed of this thing (flat ground)? 50MPH is about 80 km per hour. caliper rubbing?
What is that grinding noise when you are accelrating?
Rotors, caliper needs to be aligned.
It’s my front rotor. It’s rubbing a bit, I think I need to loosen and recenter it.
Update: I just fixed the noise. It turns out my rotor was a little bent and was rubbing on the caliper. I bent it straight and she’s running 100% now

What was the fastest km you reached?
So far I have hit 70km/h (43mph). I think it has some more speed on the top end in it but I haven't fully wound it out just yet. I attempt to hit top speed around 8:30 but then get scared when that van almost comes out the driveway.
The speed setting may have to be adjusted in the settings and freego hasn’t given you the instructions to do it yet. Thanks for being the first to put out a video!

How is the suspension and comfort?
Suspension is great! Out of the box it was really bouncy and felt like a trampoline. I had to adjust the soft/hard setting to be harder and also adjust the fast/slow rebound setting to be slower. Now it feels perfect for my weight and riding style.
How do you turn the bike on & off ?
Flip the red switch under the battery cover. Then hold one of the included NFC keys to the symbol that appears on the screen. (The NFC keys are the black little circle key chains)

Unfortunately those instructions don’t work. Most of the ones I have seen for this display type require you to hold a plus and minus button but this bike doesn’t have a plus or minus button 🤷♂️

Classic Chinese false advertising. 3000w nominal, 6000w peak? HAHAHAHAAHAHA. That's nearly 8hp, you'd be doing wheelies and burnouts. Back down to Earth and reality? That bike is pushing around 1500w at best.
The lyric graffiti x is 3000 watts and peaks over 7000 and cannot wheelie. I had a 5000 watt stealth bomber and probably peaked over 7000 watts and couldn’t come close to a wheelie. It’s about the torque and design of the bike. Mid drive motors are much better for torque and wheelies. I had a mx3 talaria sting and that thing would wheelie from just a twist of the throttle. If this bike can hit 50mph then the specs are probably correct. 80 amp controller and 60v battery is 4800 watts. Though you are correct that e-bikes have a lot of false advertising that’s for sure.
@@E-drive-vq4fy That's because your Lyric and Sealth both made less than 2000w. I personally imported a VDM-10 60V scooter from Titan that'll go 45mph on the GPS all day long. It'll burn the tires off. That's 2400w nominal (peak unknown). Bikes have bigger tires and less rolling resistance. To go 55mph with a gas engine, it takes a 50cc making approx. 5hp. That's 3800 watts. The Freego X2 could barely hit 40s, so it's less than 3000w. Most likely the same motor as your other bikes, around 1800w. A REAL 3000w/6000w peak e-bike would be as fast as a 80cc dirtbike. 8hp and 66lb would be a death machine.
@@TexasStormChaser dude watts is determined by voltage x amps in controller so you disagree with that? You disagree with all the manufacturers and e-bike experts. You know a lot of displays show wattage too, you disagree with that. But respond with a scooter you once had?
Also remember electric motor speed and torque is not the same for motors even with the same wattage depending on the turns in the motor. I had a talaria sting and that was 3000 nominal and peaked at 6000 and it went 46-47mph. My bike know peaks at 3000 and goes 44mph. The torque and acceleration on the sting was much better.
@@E-drive-vq4fy Well then you got a major problem. In a GOOD setup, you should be about 75% efficient, so a 6000w draw at the controller should be putting down 4500w of work to the ground... or approx. 6hp driving the wheel. That would mean the Freego X2 should have a top speed of over 65mph. If it's really drawing 6000w at the controller, and only doing 42mph, the motor is only doing about 1800w of work, and 4200w has been lost to heat. That's only a 30% efficiency. So it has a major design flaw either in the wiring or the motor and is a massive fire risk. You're literally just driving around a 4200w electric heater. You could keep a small home warm in the winter just by riding the bike indoors.
Even if you use the 3000w nominal rating, it's still only 60% efficient, which indicates that either the wiring is undersized acting as a resistor, or the motor itself is of a poor design.
My scooter on the other hand, rated for 2400w, and doing approx 45mph, is putting down 1800w of work to reach that speed. It is exactly 75% efficient, where it should be because it's a very high end product.
