@@Epheli.@Epheli, that sounds about right. It makes a lot of sense. There are a lot of conditions: this bike is dealing with a hilly area and the rider weighs 260 pounds. It's windy, and he uses the brakes a lot while trying to ramp up, which cuts the power to save the pads or motor, or whatever it is that the power cuts off on the e-bike I have now. You can unplug the brake cable though, so it doesn't cut power.
Got confirmation from freego that all future bikes in the US will read in MPH
This bike is an absolute beast. I’ve had it for about 2 1/2 months now I can tell you when you first get it you’re gonna be excited and want to put it together put the handlebars on and get riding I can’t stress enough take the Allen wrench and screwdriver set and tighten down every single bolt on the bike. Even the ones that come pre screwed in.
Be patient and take your time and dial in the front and back brakes. I’m telling you the bike will not squeak or make any noise. It’ll sound like an electric car. People on bike pad will not hear you coming and I’m telling you right now that it is the most fun machine that you will have.
It jumps and wheelies just fine. It’s got an insane amount of torque. It’s faster than the talaria. Battery last longer than the Surron.
My only complaint is the suspension. I wish it was a little bit bit better but if you’re a smaller lighter guy, this bike is going to be so much fun for you.
Trust me when I say Freego was insanely pleasant to work with I had some trouble with my charger and they sent me a new one. I can’t say enough good things about this thing. Whether it be a daily commuter and adventure bike or even just a toy for around the ranch. This bike is perfect and everything that you could want.

I preordered the EKX X21 Max on Alibaba which is the equivalent to this Bike. Got a great deal...now the waiting game starts. I confirmed with the manufacture directly for EXX and he said the display can be changed. They might have forgot to send you the =/- controller. We need more videos dude! Ive been coming here everyday. With all the Surrons being impounded and banned, this bike with pedals is looking better and better. You are the goat.keep it up

@mannymonroy you are right. No remote for display settings. Also syccyba x21sport on russian market comes without it. But comes with front fender. And my seller from alibaba send me fender

Let's be honest guys, in this over-pricing ebike era, $2,399 with all these settings (3000wmotor+controller, frame, battery! brakes, fork, suspension, wheels+tires), the price is pretty crazily reasonable! I have been trying to build a similar setting bike myself but that will at least cost me $2,900 (before tax), conservatively.
I couldnt agree more. I paid about 50% of what I would have for a surron or talaria but I feel like I am having 90% of the fun!
@@mannymonroyyou will also have like 90% less chance to get into trouble with this thing compared to a Surron. There is no way you can comfortably ride a Surron on the road or in a park, at least in my area, but I'm pretty sure this thing will be fine on the road.
You are absolutely correct that anything under 3000 for a bike that can go 50 mph is a good deal. So their is no reason to have misleading pics. The bike will sell on that only. So why can't they just take some pics of their bike and put it on their website. That is not hard to do. I know I'm not the only 1 who would be upset about getting a bike that's different than advertise. Those full twist throttle can be dangerous if your not an experience rider especial when your talking about a 60v bike that goes 50 mph.

The EKX 21 is literally the same bike with the same specs and $600 cheaper. Like they didn't even bother to change the frame or anything it's an exact carbon copy of this bike.

Thanks for providing the videos. It was nice to get some additional information while waiting for my order. I just got my FreeGo X2 today. I charged while assembling it, but couldn't wait for a full charge before testing it out (maybe 80%). I set up a GPS speedometer on my phone to compare with the bike speedometer. I took it on a 1 mile stretch of straight and relatively flat paved road. I read 88km/h on the bike speedometer, but the GPS Speedometer app maxed out at 49mph. It seems the bike speedometer is a little off. I'm about 185lbs btw. I thought I would share for other like me who are looking for some additional info/feedback.

You could probably put pegals on it for that peg question. Those transform from pegs to pedals. Pretty cool design.
I actually just completed a DIY peg conversion. I just used my old pedals as temporary "pegs". I am waiting for my real new pegs to come in the mail still: czcams.com/users/shortsQnGU40i2o_g?feature=share
Those pegals look really pretty! But At $360, they are a bit too costly for me. I just ordered a $10 harley davidson shift peg part that is compatible replacement part to the threads where the current crank attaches. I'll post a video of them soon, I think it can be a good $20 option for someone to go from pedals to pegs quite easily. My option will look more like surron style foot pegs.
Great vid. The speedometer is about 5km/h too fast. I don't know if it can be adjusted without the control buttons though. 80km/h is 50mph.
Some bikes go into settings if you hold a button or button combo when powering up the bike, just fyi

I could have gotten a talaria, Surron whatever I wanted, but I ordered this bike specifically because it has pedals so cops can’t bust my balls! They are strict around my way! So for the price not a bad value I thought!

idk if people get or know this guy weighs 260 pounds weight plays alot especially in electric even on gasoline bikes on amazon say speed may vary depending on road conditions weight etc so that saying this guy has reached 44mph and 46 mph downhill both times he stopped ramping up so I definitely think this thing gonna get to 50 mph if not higher if u weigh under 200 pounds

@@robertmair1682 I definitely think it will help. Both times he braked, it cuts the power to the battery and has to ramp up again. You can unplug the brakes so it doesn't cut power. I did it on my 500-watt e-bike.

Thanks for the updates man! Would you mind I ask what's your weight? as well as any idea what is the actual controller maximum amp? to achieve the 6000w maximum motor output, the control needs to be 60v and 100amp maximum current (50amp nominal for the 3000w normal output) .
I’m 260 pounds, I feel like it pulls me very well even uphill. Not sure about the amperage, I’ll see if I can see any info on the charger brick when I get home.
Controller is only 80amp. You'll never get the full 6kw advertised. More like 4800w.
@@nortizz thats still good. The original x21 only had 28amp controller and couldnt even reach the full rated 2000w of the motor.

This may be better than a surron reason why because there is no connection between the motor and the bike no resistance so that gives it more power

I ordered it on Amazon, waited one months and get nothing! First they said the item is shipped, my money was charged from balance, next Freego said it will be shipped next month and two more month to wait. I try to cancelled my order and there is no way to do so, money is not refunded.

LOL get your money back, and just deal with the Alibaba supplier of this bike EKX. Freego knows nothing about this bike, and you are paying extra for them to dropship this bike to you with their name on it. Thats what I did, and I saved a lot more then buying from freego.

@@dbf16. I'm kind of annoyed that I have to wait 2 months. But if you check the comments, this guy ordered it 2 months before he received it, which is about the same as what I have to wait. I ordered on June 13th, and it was supposed to come out on July 15th. However, they texted me saying it's a low batch or something, and it's going to take until August 10th. I'm pretty bummed, but they took $100 off. If this guy and another guy got theirs, I'm not too worried about it being a scam.

I believe you must use the included you to unlock the battery under the battery door. Once unlocked you pull it up and out.
But you dont need to pull the battery to assemble it!

Dude thank you! I ended up needing to flip the bar and mounting plate around and move the throttle and stuff from one side to the other. That part was preassembled and came backward from the factory 🤦♂️

Being honest most police departments in other states don’t care as long as the bike has pedals they won’t mess with you
wish there was a way to measure the torque on this vs something like a surron or talaria. I want to ride off-road and send jumps!
Freego claims the motor has 200nm of torque vs the Surron’s 250nm.
talaria will be a lot better offroad, doubt this one with a hub motor will be great.

Can u wheelie the bike??
brake squeal... when you were fixing your rotor the rotor may have been contaminated and got on the pads. you're supposed to use gloves when handling rotors to avoid getting fingerprints. some people remedy this by sanding down the rotor and reinstalling with gloves and replacing the pads. you can also try isopropyl alcohol on the rotor but if you use the existing pads the squeal might not go away.

I actually just ordered some new 180MM rotors from alibaba. I feel like I tweaked that poor rotor so much I just want to start fresh. I also got some cool red screws to match the red accents on the bike haha.
Perhaps I should spray some brake cleaner on the pads to remove any contaminants from the old rotor?

I ordered mine on May 2 for the June drop on the 15th then I got an email saying that I would not get my bike until the July drop July 15 but on my confirmation for my delivery it says the bike is assembled packaged and labeled for the carrier to pick up and that’s on May 5 so now they say I will get it after the July drop on the 15th so I don’t know if I’m supposed to receive the bike on the 15th or they’re sending it on the 15th tired of waiting!!!

The goose neck is suppose to go the other way.
I just realized they sent it from the factory installed backwards. I just flipped everything around and the bike feels much roomier without the handlebars as close to me

Thank you very much for the continued review. I know that you were hesitant to take it off road but do you think the suspension is capable of handling full speed on bumpy terrain? I'm afraid it has the same suspension set up as the previous model that's only intended to go 30mph...
It honestly feels very capable. The rear shock is adjustable and I feel like it does a lot to absorb bumps. I’ll try to do some more and extended off roading in my next video!

Highly unlikely. What you see here is Exactly what you'll get. The controller is unable to put out any more power.

@@mannymonroy thanks. This was a good follow up video. Someone mentioned it was 43 up a slight hill. You should do steep hills speed and completely flat if you haven't. Also, is this like a 7 speed bike or something? Any shifting involved?

Hay man got it late yesterday by 4:00 this morning I was gps verifyed at 50 it seems to hold you there cuz I was picking up speed all the way and at 50 it stayed. And to tell you the truth that's fast enough " sketchy"!
Congrats bro! Yes this thing is no joke and fast. I didn't really feel comfortable going fast on it until I got my full face helmet delivered.
@@mannymonroyMy brother got a 50 mph scooter and has already fallen twice. Thankfully, he was wearing his helmet both times. I've ridden the scooter up to 45 mph uphill without a helmet, which was really stupid. But man, you definitely need a helmet at that speed. People tend to underestimate speed. Even 30 or 20 mph is fast, so if you fall, it's no joke.

How does is drive with the chain/pedal delete . I’m cinfused how it drives without having a chain? I wanna get this and remove the pedals and chain but don’t want to destroy the bike
it has a wheel hub motor and not mid-drive
Is the one you have a review unit or some kind of early demo model cuz its different from the pics on their site. You also got yours earlier than may 31 which is the release date on their website. The pics show a half twist throttle which is what I want and it also has turn signals and the + & - buttons controls on the left side. That's the bike I want and if they send me the one you have then i'm returning it.

Lol the pictures online are not entirely accurate and what you see here is Exactly what you'll get. Those controls you referring too are Only on the previous, slower model.

They're a mash up of the previous model and the one you'll get, which Manny has shown. No I don't. But I have asked countless questions to Freego and EKX and know absolutely everything about this bike now lmao.

It has a lot of torque, the acceleration is good too.
I bet if you would tuck when going for top speed you would get 45-46mph. You were sitting straight up and that will slow you down.

hi. I'm only going off the battery and controller information from the manufacturers website.60 volts x 30 amps = 1800 watt/hours
1800 watt/hours divided by 20 watts/mile = 90 miles. (potentially)
Probably running in eco mode, and a little pedal assist on your part.
Does it have power to wheelie?

Not that I am aware of. I believe 6000W is the peak power. There is a switch on the right handle to switch between "ECO" and "POWER" modes. I am driving in power mode during the speed test part.
@@mannymonroylooks like the same power output as the talaria xxx so that’s exciting. Ripping around town at 40mph is plenty of power especially if I’m planning on losing some weight lol.

The advertised 6000w is a straight up lie and impossible to achieve. The controller is only putting out 80amp.
6000 watts peek definitely lie. They should refund a percentage of money to buyers for false advertising. They have the nerve to say top speed 60 mph . Then 50 mph & now unless he does a test of lifting up the back tire & full throttle only then will we know top speed on this bike . But he got a top speed of 44 mph that still very good . But bike companies have to stop lying on consumers about what the top speed of there bikes .
still a great e bike no? And powerful….. they aren’t necessarily lying as the battery may have a peak output of 6000 watts…. Odds of you ever hitting that is 0 but the fact he hit close to 50 on a slight upward grade shows me that it is not only a great contender for top pedal assist e-bikes but also the best and most powerful bike this company has produced…… excited to see what they will have to offer in there next models and or versions…..
