Drop wires here has metallic messenger wire and the hangers are also different as well. NAP boxes of course are put to utility poles. Again despite the cleaning of dead wires still going on there's wires and cables still dangling low up to ground level. In fact I had to cut those dead wires off or just throw it back up become it can cause accidents.
I love actually seeing this video to be honest with you.

I have been out in the field since 2008 and it's interesting seeing how other ISP's want their drops done. That is a lot of midspan clamps used for a span of only a couple feet, lol, but I know what it's like being at the mercy of the parent company making the decisions. The one we work for just requires us to snip off old zip ties and zip new/old drops until you need a midspan clamp.
Thankfully FTTH is becoming more common around here, especially in new builds, but most of the area I cover is still fibre hybrid requiring RF drops to the house. Good stuff, bud. Pretty decent job imo.

Thanks man. Personally I’m a fan of the clamps keeps everything neat. We aren’t allowed to zip past the waterfall.

I dig you're following specs. But the salesman that sold your company on needing so many span clamps is laughing all the way to the bank. I've was a VZ Fios installer for 5 years and never used the amount you have to. I got moved to splicing. Learn splicing if you get the chance. Mass splicing is even better as you progress. Stay save. Like the vids. Hauling that ladder around is a young mans game.

The goal is always to find someone to stick with it and do what I do for me. But mainly they’re just ground hands for efficiency.
