    I use the EF 24-70 with the .71 speed booster and I love the the quality that I get from it not to mention the almost full frame look. I'd say it a pretty good compromise.

    I was looking at 24-70 rf but end up with ef 24-105 f.4 and 0,71 adapter.
    I often find myself filming in tight spaces and in that scenario 24-105 on ff is most universal lens for me

    I agree with everything you said here. I wouldn't run out to buy the 24-105 2.8 but I did mess with it a bit at CES. I thought it would be irritatingly oversized and hefty but it's kind of perfect for what it is. Check it out when you get a chance.

      Good to hear! I have a feeling that lens is gonna be really popular

    Really appreciate all your c70 content, as a fellow c70 owner it's been extremely helpful. Do you mind if I ask where you sold it? I love the camera, but I'm looking to switch camera systems as well. Hoping to get as much value from it as I can.

      thanks! glad that it's been helpful
      I sold it to a friend of a friend over IG. Selling private party will definitely help you get most value out of it
      You can always sell to MPB or BH but they'll undervalue quite a bit

    I got rid of this lens last year as I wasn't using it too much, but boyyy do i miss it now : (
    Would be interesting to see you rent the 24-105 2.8 with the power zoom adapter (purely so i can live vicariously through you haha)

    This is my favorite run n gun RF glass for the C70, R3 or even the Komodo X

  • @amatomariano
    @amatomariano Před 5 měsíci

    Hey Thomas! I would use the c70 mostly handheld. Then would you go for the speedbooster and ef 24 70 or the rf 24 70 IS.
    I really don’t go less than 35 mm, but I want to hear your opinion.
    Thanks

    • @thomas.kovacik
      @thomas.kovacik  Před 5 měsíci

      Can’t go wrong with either I think
      I personally went RF for autofocus, IS, and the linear manual focusing. As well as not adding more optics (focal reducer)

    RF24-70 is my second favorite. The 24-105 F2.8 just took that spot. Those fast zoom pulls you are doing here are not a thing. Looks smokin. But I use the 24-70 on my other C70 for 2 camera shoots. Everything is seemless. Keeping it for the RED cam??

    • @thomas.kovacik
      @thomas.kovacik  Před 6 měsíci

      heck yeah, that lens looks pretty solid! Internal zoom is so nice to have
      I sold it not too long ago! Going all EF on my komodo- primarily bc of the kipper tie revolva.
      I'm sure I'll rent it here and there for specific projects!

    curious whats your input on the 28-70 or the 24-105 f/2.8

  • @creativegreatsvisuals

    What are the setting u need to have manual focus override when on continuous auto focus ? I wanna use continuous auto focus on c70 and manual focus “without “ using a switch on lens to switch back and forth between manual and continuous auto focus

    • @thomas.kovacik
      @thomas.kovacik  Před 4 měsíci

      I forget where it's at! it may be simply that you just manual focus and it'll go back to af once you're done focusing

    • @creativegreatsvisuals

      @@thomas.kovacik will this ruin the motors if you use manual focus in auto focus mode ?

    What is the focus throw on this lens?

      Haven’t calculated, it feels solid for video use
      There’s no hard stops so it’ll just keep spinning
