It’s a shame lady only had 2 appearances I hoped she returned in the cgi series but that’s not happening

I love that Thomas looked absolutely livid on helping Lady. I feel like if she were introduced in CGI (pretty unlikely), that would have been EXACTLY what Thomas would look like if he had to help her like that.

Wow, thats a really good job you did there!👍 I've been wanting her to appear in the Bachmann range for a long time, but given her irrelevance in all modern media, she and D-10 are dreams that I don't think will ever come.

3:37 I love how Thomas has a grumpy expression in this instance, suggesting that he's embarrassed about being pushed along by an engine who's basically half his size.
I think it's more like this:
T: You work on Sodor now, Lady. You shouldn't need us to help you for everything.
L: Give me a break, Thomas. I'm still new here. And I'm out of coal and water again.

Pretty interesting build with interesting problems. Lady herself is a looker, and your repaint and rebuild makes her look even better.

I have a RWS headcannon in which Lady was actually a Wellsworth & Suddery engine. The paint scheme matches up with the fanmade W&S fleet.
Been wanting to do something similar, haven’t had the time to do it just yet. Congrats on getting this far 👍

That's really impressive. I have an ERTL lady (bad condition - much loved and played with) but I can't see myself daring to attempt this sort of thing, even if she would see more use this way.
If I did it, though, I'd personally opt to have her painted dark red, giving her the WildNorWester canon livery where she's an industrial engine.

I heard that Lady was a narrow gauge loco that was gauged for standard kinda like Hiro.
Bit of info on modelling with UK OO gauge, the couplings do have an official name. Instead of being called "hook and loop", they're officially named 'tension lock' and are the standard model railway coupling on UK model trains. I know this too well as I prefer tension locks over other couplings despite living in Australia, a nation which strongly uses Kadee couplings.
I´m honestly surprised nobody (including Hornby themselves) ever tried using the Holden for Lady.
You know what I´m copywriting that idea as I´m sure I´ve got a spare one lying around.

If you're planning to make a motorized truck for lady, onshape ways you can buy a custom HO scale motorized open wagon for lady, though a hanazano motor bogey is required because the motorized open wagons are usually for ho non motorized coffee pots from shapeways. Or to make a motorized van you can use a Bachmann Toby and remove the top shell and replace it with a shell of the ventilated van and do some modifications on the lower half of Toby shell and you've got yourself a motorized ventilated van or Troublesome van if you want to add a face on it
Huh, didn't realise the Ertl models were of a similar enough scale to OO. Neat.
(I must commend you for being willing to destroy an old Ertl toy for this, as that's something I probably couldn't muster up the courage to do. The model turned out great!)

This is one of my faintest memory, but I think I have a toy model of Lady I had when I was young and the storybook "Little Engines can do Big Things"

I do have to say, this is definitely a fine locomotive custom. It isn’t everyday you see a Ertl model into HO locomotive. Great job Trianboy.
