Same! Band-Maid is the first band where I’ve started to focus on other parts beside vocals. So now, I’ve even started going back to old favorites and listening through heightened ears.
This song is a hard rock banger from the first note. Fast-pace, high energy, right down Band-Maid's alley. It is for an anime that popular in France. (It's why there are so many Ou lala, lalas or it's a Japanese interpretation of "We're gonna kick your ass!"). Congrats on getting over a thousand subscribers. Keep it up. Yes Band-Maid is bass heavy, but on purpose. When you have a world class "lead" bassist like MISA, she needs to be free to perform the way she does. Her riffs are always perfect for their songs.
Yeah, MISA MISA MISA, is the real thing for Band Maid. If you go to the BM concert, I was fortunate enough to attend 2 shows In the NY area, MISA's bass just dominated both shows. She is just mesmerizing both sonically and visually on stage. If you enjoy her playing, there is a fan cam video of a BM concert from the Chapel, I believe in SF, in 2019 that was shot at 6' from MISA that captured all of her playing. The video was well mixed with a prominent display of MISA's playing showing how she was integral to all the songs by BM. It was videoed by the YT Channel Benjamin. Most MISA fans probably have heard it. Go give it a listen. Highly, highly recommended.
This song just keeps getting better every listen. Bass rich indeed. This is what happens when a band lets an artist free range and not be held back by usual Rack Band narcissistic tendencies. Every member here stand on the same height pedestal.
Band-Maid put Misa to the forefront deliberately. As you dig further into their catalogue your attention shifts to different member each time you listen to the same song.
Band Maid! 🍺🤘🏻😁

Ouh là là, Band-Maid! Thx, Jacob!
Other bands have two guitars and a bass. Band-Maid has three guitars, one of which is a bass. Very different division of labor.
