I used to work at burger king. The mayo comes in 5 gallon buckets. When assembling a sandwich, you reach into the bucket, grab a handful of mayo, and slap it on the sandwich.
The mushroom double swiss was one of the most awesome burgers ever made by BK. Didn't quite look like that - it was a burger with swiss cheese and musrooms dumped on top of two patties separated by more cheese. It was greasy, messy, looked unappetising but it was really good to eat.
It was,in the early 90's when it was the mushroom double Swiss.

You're the best food reviewer because you can tell you're not a picky eater. I hate watching reviews when someone is like "I got it with no tomatoes because I don't eat tomatoes." If you don't try it as advertised to me it's an illegitimate review. You never modify any items you try and I admire that!

It looks like you usually hit up the same Burger King. Have you tried switching locations? In my town the Burger King is an absolute trash heap. The food is terrible. The Burger King about an hour away though is a totally different experience. The food is great there.

One thing I appreciate about Burger King is that they use paper to wrap their burgers. Not styrofoam boxes or aluminum foil. Just my ecological side coming out. I think paper is more environmentally friendly.
It is a mystery worthy of a Raymond Chandler novel. This menu item has come and gone 3 times in Australia as a "special", often paired with a bizarre Mexican burger. I asked a friend who is a Hungry Jacks (Burger King) Manager as to why it comes and goes. He said it is there to increase interest/even excitement and push up client traffic for a limited time only. It will never be a standard food item.

We don't have the King variant of this burger in Canada, it's called the Mushroom and Swiss Whopper here. And instead of mayo it's some sort of mayo blend called "Royal Sauce". I actually really like it.
