Funding MK, Fighting the GNU… Russia’s Strategy for SA - Irina Filatova

  • The Government of National Unity (GNU) is likely to have been a “complete disappointment” for Russia. That is the opinion of SA-Russia expert Dr Irina Filatova who predicts that the Russians will now try to work with the part of the African National Congress (ANC) which is “radically inclined” towards former President Jacob Zuma. Professor Filatova believes Russia has funded Mr Zuma’s MK Party in the hope that his faction could be returned to the ANC, preferably heading it and getting rid of President Cyril Ramaphosa “because then the ANC would become the old ANC where Zuma could dictate the policy, and where Russia would have supreme influence”. Professor Filatova also explains where South Africa fits into Russian President Vladimir Putin’s latest vision for BRICS as “an independent organisation regulating international relations…based entirely on power”.

    If one listens very carefully at what she says, it is clear that South Africa is at the pivot point in Global Strategic alliances. It is either pivot to the West and become a US vassal state, or pivot to the East and be apart of the BRICS± movement. The most important point she makes is that it would be a strategic decision or pivot that would bound South Africa for at least 1 to 2 generations, in other words there is no turning back from it. My personal opinion is that the pivot to the East might just be what we need to become relevant in the world again, as opposed to being an Anglo American vasal state that is dictated to from London and New York. Perhaps SAA might again rise to be our national carrier instead of British Airways. We need to understand one principle very clearly, and that is that South African businesses will never be allowed to grow and be equal or bigger than an American or British business, if we stay within the Western Hemisphere. It will either be taken over, bought out, or crushed through an Anglo American vasal government or trade unions. Highveld Steel is a prime example of how a pro-American trade union will endeavour to sink a prosperous business irrespective of how many livelihoods they crush.

    If we got the nuclear power stations under Zuma @ the then price of $ 76 billion - we would not have had all the loadshedding. This is the cleanest and most cost effective form of energy - with zero wiggle room to defraud the public. On the other hand - the so called 'green energy' is not so green after all considering the amount of mining involved in producing the components for solar panels, and the fields of windmills which is a real threat to birdlife and a scar on the landscape.
    The best move Zuma ever made was to get SA into BRICKS.
    The world is changing and the sole dominance of the decadent Western World and USA waning. The global south is awakening and shaking off the warmongers of the Western world.
    On the world stage of leadership - Putin stand head and shoulders above the feeble minded Woke leaders of the west.
    People must do their own research on these topics. Start by reading Putin's speeches and find out what has been NATO and the CIA influence in the Ukraine since at least 1991.
    Green energy and zero carbon will never provide the base load needs of SA.

    take a breath.. take a step back... look at things from the position of a proxy state - South Africa is a battleground for foreign interests. The ANC gets funding from Russian and Chinese interests as well as other African governments. The DA recieves funding from Israeli and European interests. The other parties are funded by a range of foreign interests and local funders who work on behalf of their foreign allies. If your'e a true South African, then you will acknowledge that ALL foreign funding is a threat to SA national security and diplomatic independence. it doesn't matter whether its from the East or West, a nationalist understands that these funders don't care about SA and only want to exploit the nation for their gain.

      @TheBliksempie Před 4 dny

      Yes, totally different. Take Anglo American, De Beers, Xtrata and Lonmin as prime examples.....and then compare it to Highveld Steel which was Russian owned, fully operational and steadfast business that was sunk by Solidariteit just because it was Russian owned and Solidariteit is CIA funded.

    • @lodeleaf6401
      @lodeleaf6401 Před 4 dny

      Probably same-same. That's the problem with nuclear... it comes with many, many, many years of baggage. Not only to the countries that build and manage it, but also to keep the nuclear waste safe for hundreds of years (requiring cooling chambers, etc.) Long term pain for short term gain.

    • @marksquires1112
      @marksquires1112 Před 3 dny

      USA or other Western countries who may in future build such a nuclear facility are far less likely to be as corrupt and incapable of ensuring long term stability in the maintenance of such a facility than Russia would be.
      Russia is inherently unstable under a despotic regime’s control.
      It is bound to be more corrupt, more incapable of delivering sustainable management to run such a highly complex and potentially hazardous facility than private companies potentially in partnership from the USA or Japan or Europe.
      It’s a no-brainer.
      Russia is a profoundly corrupt political system, with personal enrichment of the elites as it’s primary reason for existence.
      That and more influence around the world where those very elites can enrich themselves even further.

    So these allegations of Russian funding are authenticated using Steenhuisen, Herman, Mashaba 😂😂.
    The second authority is the fact that the MKP did not disclose its funders?
    Third authority is that Zuma met with Putin when he was head of state many years back. How many state leaders have met Putin again? 😂😂
    The last proof is that there is a picture of Zuma standing next to Putin in one t-shirt worn by a member of the MKP.
    This is perfect!
