My previous was a MKZ that was over $45k sticker. I got my 2019 SXLimited for almost $10k below sticker of nearly $37k. The Kia is a great value compared to all of my previous more prestige cars (BMW,Audi,MB,Lincoln) and an Avalon LTD. All were excellent cars but comparatively expensive when considered relative to the Kia.
21k and a 100,000 mile warranty is a no-brainer.
So did I, a little lower because of military bonus money, the S was lower than the LX because Kia gave a $3,000 bonus on the S and only $2,000 on the LX and the S had a way better package than the LX! It’s my son’s second Kia (someone hit his Soul) and as a family we love them!
After watching this video I went out and got one, mine is a 2019 as well, but it lacks a turbo. Still fun to drive.
Good choice, kia and Hyundai products have issues with turbo engines

@@Tre_Bar I traded it in last month to get a Kia Soul, since I wanted a hatchback. I still miss it, one of the best cars I’ve never had. I’ve had Hondas, and Nissans as well. I put around only 38k miles on it.
I enjoyed this video because of the fact that when you made the left turn your stayed on the left lane, and when you made a right turn you stayed on the right lane. It relaxed me watching this, thank you for your good driving.

I'm goin to buy Optima in next couple of weeks! It's the best non-luxury midsize sedan on the market! Like it much more than camry.
It's a great car, I have one and I do agree it's better than the Camry (except for Engine power).

@@A-z531 quality it obliterates the Camry... Have you tried closing the door on the newer 18+ Camry's? The door sounds super cheap. Toyota does have better fuel consumption though like you said. That's something Hyundai and Kia need to work on. But it's not too far off Toyota.

@@A-z531 it's the best Camry made for the performance minded. Definitely not for the ones that like quality doors. The best Camry we the generation 3(1992-1996).
I have owned all generations of Camry from generation 5(2002-2006) to generation 7(2012-2017). All of them had their strengths and weaknesses... Just like this current Camry.

It’s almost identical to my 2011 Kia Optima Ex Fully loaded w/panoramic sunroof, silver gray. Nothing really has change. The engine sounds the same.
I think it’s only the engine that changes the SX has a bigger engine than the EX.
I haven't driven a turbo yet, but have driven plenty of the other models, and they are really nice.. I'd totally buy one!

I'm from Korea, In Korea, only 2000 models are called Optima, 2005 and 2008 models are called Lotze, and all 2010 models are called K5.

My 2016 Optima SX has a black alcantara-esque headliner -- no idea why Kia would do away with that option for the '19 SX. Looks much more premium in black.

That car was turbocharged, that's why it crossed 300km, it does not compete with basic Yamaha r1 motorcycle.

I have a 2016 Turbo with 58,000 miles. The car has operated perfectly for three years. Nothing has gone wrong. I change the oil every 5000 miles and never have it serviced. This is probably the most car for the money. It has all the bells and whistles of cars costing thousands more. It is fast and comfortable. Let's face it, you don't really need more than 250Hp to get where you need to go unless you are 18 and need to test your manhood. I replaced the tires at 40,000 and they did not need alignment adjustment. I am not totally thrilled with the boy racer style cues on the Stinger, nor do I need a hot six cylinder engine that consumes more gas than necessary. My Turbo 4 runs just fine on regular gas and whenever I fill up I am delighted to be saving hard earned dollars. I plan to get a 2019 in the next few months.

You are absolutely correct. The Kia is perfect for commuting and daily driving. However, for real fun you want a $300,000 supercar you can't drive properly and takes you into the weeds more often than not. I am visualizing a green Lamborghini being towed on its way to the body shop. How about you?
@@stephenjablonsky1941 Yeah more money then better but imo real fun starts with like Corvete c6, Mustang GT, even you can go with something like 350z + turbo or older BMW stage 2. Its better to have one daily and one car just for fun than one expensive car for everything imo. My dream car is SL65 AMG or even I would take any R8 with a manual gearbox.
Whether you are rich or poor, it is good to have money. Money cannot buy happiness but it can buy a lot of cars. In an ideal situation your paycheck is deep into six figures so you can buy all the toys you want. Now you need a place to store them...something like Jay Leno's Garage.@@noid900
I have the same exact car. 37k and just put new tires on . Battery died right at 36k. Car requires an AGM battery which is close to $200. Othe than that no issues. Oil changed on schedule. I did swap out the springs for aftermarket as car did not handle well enough for me. Waiting on next gen redesign to see what's up.

I got this car with the kinetic exhaust and air intake and it sounds good when you apply full throttle.... oh and i have lap chip and car is tweaked a bit to lol 😂 for the money the cars worth , its definitely worth it

I have the 2014 sx turbo. I love the car. My question is why did they de-tune the newer models from the 276hp benchmark to the 245hp it is now?
I’m guessing for EPA reasons.. if I’m wrong sorry. I don’t think they care about winning a horsepower war. Nissan Altima also has a new engine delivering less horsepower.
Have you seen older Hyundai/Kia engines? They're horrible on gas mileage. The newer detuned ones are much better.

@@nicktune1219 well my 2014 turbo gets great gas mileage. But just like anything with a turbo, if you have a heavy foot the mileage is gonna be bad. I'm sure that's the case for the new models as well

My optima is so fast! I love smoking any honda V6! That was before I did some upgrades. Now havent been up against anything that has beaten me yet basically I am building a sleeper kia! Love it!

I test drove this car back in 19 . Beautiful car in my opinion, but that pano sun roof though nice really cut into my headroom . To the point of me buying a 19 Kia Niro hybrid Touring with tons of headroom . Way less power but adequate, way better mpg , similar interior and great headroom with a small boring Plain Jane sunroof .
Imagine if this had the infotainment from the new K900 with the ambient lighting and the twin turbo V6 from the stinger. I would for sure buy this over a bmw or mercedes if it had those features

We have the older version the 2017 one but its Hybrid, but in my opinion this interior looks better because of the seats but the exterior of the older version is better.

Great video. Car is nice but around 37 loaded. Lots of nice choices around there, including 6 signature for example. I actually like this car better after this video though.
