is it just me or is KIA starting to look better than most German and Japanese vehicles?
They hired german designers that worked at BMW. The new Kia cars are looking better than the old ones for sure, but I dont think it is comparable to most german cars still

I don't think most people know all Korean cars use what they call gigasteel on all of their chassis construction. They are the strongest steel pound per pound industry could use to manufacture cars right now. This is why they are able to build race cars out of their cars to win races. Chassis are really strong on all recent Korean cars. Right now Korean big luxury sedans chassis are more rigid than S class benz because they use lots of gigasteel for their chassis.

Currently Kia has two drawbacks, the name kia with its history of unreliability (10 years prior) and the Kia Logo. Reliability history is getting better by time but they have to keep up. Kia has to change their Logo to a more appealing esthetic looking Logo. I like the K logo better rather than this KIA logo.

The biggest disappointment in Kia for me was the dealership experience. I owned BMWs before, and every purchasing experience was a breeze. Kia dealer would try to nickel and dime you for everything, just a $750 doc fee was a fun thing to discuss:) Why did I have to fight over a 3K markup during a pandemic where every customer is a blessing everywhere? This is a thing with these budget brands - even while their cars get better and in some cases (like this one) can match many upper class traits...dealer network cannot adjust to a more luxury car performance. Too bad, as I won't be getting a Kia anymore after this lease ends. I value my nerves more than extra 20k. Because mental health is more valuable than brain suck during talks with these bottom-feeder sales managers.

I'd buy a bmw x3 before owning a land rover atleast bmw is finally more reliable this year especially the b48 and b58 motor (the new toyota supra uses the same inline 6 b58 motor). Land rover needs to focus on reliability this year because bmw and VW are destroying the german competition just because they made their vehicles more reliable.

Best KIA SUV Car Ever!
was impressed more by this than the Palisade. I like the Palisade's exterior styling better than the Tellurides, but I never liked the interior as much as I did the Telluride. It's a very beautiful car, and this is definitely a worthy rival to luxury SUV's, along with the new Highlander.
The only car that is better than this, in my opinion, the Volvo XC90.
The only thing I don't like about this is the gauge cluster, but maybe they'll change that at some point.

The only thing that could make this look better is....... making the 3rd row have speakers surrounded by chrome like on the Ascent. And also whats with all the weird indents in the third row? I saw It on a Ascent today. And it’s in here to. Also I really do think that it looks stupid, to just put charge ports randomly in the side of the third row. I mean com on Kia!
