The DM-2. Ever owned one? Chances are you have. I had one back in 1980 or thereabouts. Stomped the hell out of that thing and killed it. Bought another. And another. Ended up with rack gear after 5 years, probably because I couldn't kill rack stuff by feet. But I missed the DM-2 and smiled endearingly whenever I spotted another on someone else's board (which was and still is quite often.)
But now we have the WAZA CRAFT DM-2w! That means more ins and outs, extended delay range (the 'C' or 'Custom' side on the toggle - 800ms); Rate expression pedal control (mental) and a separate dry output if you want to split your delay/dry signals. COOL! And it sounds just like the good old ones (if my battered memory serves me correctly).
So celebrate. Grab one and rock it. You'll love it, that's almost guaranteed.

Man I loved my DM-2... Want this
idk how you're keeping a straight face when you started using the expression pedal
That 'Apple Tree' is gorgeous, just gorgeous.
What?
DSilvergun His Palir Tele, he clearly said the model was called 'The Apple Tree', he's done a review video for it in the past.
I was commenting and what gorgeous looking and sounding instrument it is.
Egregious Certainly is, has all the classic appointments with something else added.
Degrading crackle on the repeats.
+vistacruiser70s That's the appeal, it's an Analog Delay Pedal.
An improvement on the original, the custom setting and additional jack options are very appealing.
Killer guitar! Those frets look massive..
I'll be grabbing one of these; Boss pedals always deliver!
Thanks for the demo.
is there any volume drop or increase with this model? looking for a delay that will not drop in volume, don't mind a boost, but a volume drop kills me
at 1.02... no one can deny a country riff. nod is mandatory
Love your 'Apple Tree' Tele style - yep a very useful pedal, like most of the Boss range, useful and practical.
Great demo by one of my favorite reviewers. But the delays have much noise in-between the repeats when using keyboards. So sad because the rubber soul is there and its a good pedal.
Thank you!
This pedal kicks ass !
This thing sounds great! I'm sending my Boss DD-7 to JHS to be recased and modded. If I didn't already have that project going, I would've definitely considered this!
Yes that apple looks amazing, and sounds way cool, bro...
One thing about this pedal , it's not stereo in . That's means you can't hook up the CE2 stereo into it to get all the lush sounds of that pedal. Normally you would put the delay pedal after the modulation so I think Boss have missed a trick here.
Put the chorus after.
Making it stereo would duplicate the price but it would have been nice for sure
Gday Brett... wicked demo💪
The DM2w has an expression input... Can I plug a non-latching tap-tempo-style switch to control the time?... Or am I restricted to a rocker-style expression pedal???

Hi can you help me . Is it ok to take the batteries out my pedals and just use the mains with no battery in the pedal . Thanks for any help . ?
Yes, its safe
Will the LED check light up if there’s no guitar plugged in , just a battery? Want to test before buying used, thanks
Burgs, as always, great demo. The DM-2w sounds great but man, that Magic Drive is amazing!
Are you hearing anything unusual or out of place in the repeats? IE unwanted distortion?
+DcsOrCity That's meant to happen, it's an Analog Delay
I had this pedal for a few days and the clipping (unwanted distortion) or white noise on the repeats is something I couldn't get used to. I realize they are inherent to many analog delays like this but it was too distracting to my ears. I have other modern analog delays like the Carbon Copy and Rubberneck and the noise on those is not as pronounced. Ironically, my favorite delay is the DM-2 emulator setting (Analog) on the BOSS DD-7. It has warm, lo fi, dark sounding repeats but without the white noise sound. Highly recommended.
This was the comment I was desperately looking for! And thank you Divebomb99 for replying. I noticed that putting the knob full counterclockwise produces this high pitched tone that I wasn’t fond of. I still love this pedal, but I think I’ll snag a digital one later on. I didn’t know that the sound was to be expected with Analog delay. I find it funny that the official Boss demo doesn’t showcase it at all, even when the guy turns the rate as far left as possible.
Damn, I like the Sunbeam... but I live in Belgium.
Dang, forget the pedal, whatcha gonna do with that tele
No, this thing has noisy crackling on the repeats, unlike my dm2. And no, IT'S NOT SUSPOST TO BE THAT WAY.
In the longest repeats (say 600 msec or more) it's a common thing with most analog delays
My CE-2W was doing that too. It was making clicking noises with every cycle and adjusting the speed knob would make them faster or slower. Then I plugged in 9v power and it went away. Hah, low battery.
Cool!
But somehow I expected a "No goats were sacrified during the making of this video" disclaimer at the end...
Totally RAD, dude!
Excellent stuff Burgs! Fantastic pedal.
Nice demo Mr.K ...
What's up Jack..
Aww, shit !! I'm getting one these. FugGedaboutit !
Thanks again, Brett.
u sold me:)
The rate pedal uses control voltage I presume. Anyone hooked this up to alternative cv sources (modular synths, an lfo for example) with success?
So... sacrifice goats often?
Great demo Brettf! Hot Dog!
Could I get The Edge's effects (ish) with this one?
I'd choose DD-7 or Korg for that
Dig the chickin pickin!

This one must be the most interested demo video you guys ever seen and hope you'll like it.
